Poly Pop is our girl hangout. We enjoy going for the AMAZING drinks and food. Everything from breakfast to dinner that we've tried has been so delicious. The tinkers are my personal favorite. Creative breakfast choices is fun for the kids, but you get HUGE portions that you can share! They also have good mimosas and other "breakfast drinks". The only complain I've heard from our group is that they don't have ketchup... which we all laughed about. It's totally fine, who eats ketchup of Mac-n-cheese anyways!? We will be back. We came for dinner last night and everything was delicious. We had the riblets, based on other suggestions here, and they were absolutely perfect. While this isn't a bar-b-que joint, they were better riblets than 90% of dedicated bar-b-que places I've been to. We had the Tao Taco bowl and Polynesian Chicken Salad, both which were absolutely fantastic. My only suggestion would be regarding this insanely loud lightning/thunder sound effect that went off in the middle of our dinner. I believe it was part of the "theme" of the restaurant, however it started everyone around us, and the look on peoples faces did not make me think anyone enjoyed it. The young girl at the table right next to us spent the next 10 minutes hugging her mom because she was especially frightened. Aside from that, this place earned an easy 5 stars. Love what I got! I had the Spicy Thai Chicken Ramen & it was very yummy!! Definitely will come back! I found my bowl to be very refreshing. I think Poly Poo offers a unique menu different from a lot of the places in town. Definitely a nice option when you want something a little different. This is my parents favorite hangout! I too, am obsessed with the food. Their mix of Tex-Mex and Asian cuisine never fails to make my mouth water. Some of my favorite dishes include their Crawfish, Tamales, and Rib ramen. The interior design is cute with friendly staff and a friendly atmosphere. This is just a review solely on drinnks and vibes. The bartender (manager?!) Nick is awesome. Super friendly and sets a really good tone for the night. I'm from Austin and visiting LJ to see family so I would say that the drinks were definitely on par with the sophisticated drinks Austin's night scene has to offer. The only thing I wasn't into was the overwhelming smell of crawwfish that hit me in the face upon entering the restaurant and the smell that stayed on my clothes upon leaving. I visited several months ago but I can say that Happy hour was amazing. It was only for an hour if I remember correctly and it was called Tropical Storm. No joke it was pretty fun trying to down as many cheap HH drinks as possible. They were tasty as well. We also got wings which were top notch. The waitresses were amazing and friendly. If you like ramen and love spicy boiled shrimp, the Backyard Shrimp Boil ramen bowl is for you! I paired that up with a Mai Tai that was the best I have found outside of Hawaii. It was stout but good! My wife had the Paradise Pot Buddha Bowl which she really enjoyed. My daughter loved the Spam fried rice. We didn't know they close early on Sunday and we sat down right before closing but they still treated us as guests and mixed my Mai Tai even though the barkeeper was cleaning up.
