So I have a gone to this restaurant a few times and out of a few times twice they have messed up my order either they forget to put the sauces in the order or they forget to put the Platins on my order and the bad thing about this. Is that when you go pick up your order your bag is all sealed up and everything and they don't give you a chance to make sure that your stuff is there until you get home and you open the bag they don't even give you the courtesy for you to look into your bag to make sure everything is there they just give you the bag sealed. I tried them 3 different times because I understand eveyone can have a bad day, but all three times were bad. 1- got my order wrong 1- ordered a Cesar wrap, like two pieces of lettuce 3- food was cold and cheese not even melted. OK I'm gonna give them three stars because the food at Pollo Tropical is normally pretty good. For example - the original Cuban sandwich is actually quite good even when compared to some of the other Cuban restaurant in the area. We have had the original Cuban sandwich several times and each time it was very good. Unfortunately on several other occasions when we tried to order the original Cuban sandwich they said they did not have the pork ready or available or some excuse for not having the sandwich. With regards to the employees working the drive-through window, most of the time they are pleasant. But you can tell they're on the pressure to keep the line moving. My other suggestions are to keep the quality of the food good by paying attention to all the small details in preparing the food. This is the second time my husband and I have come to this location. The first time they ran out of chicken. I am not sure how you do that when you are a chicken place, but we chalked it up to they had just been really busy and didn't start cooking the fresh chicken in time. Tonight we came in and ordered classic cuban sandwiches. My husband got soup as a side and I got french fries. I asked for no pickles on my sandwich, but my husband wanted his...sadly, he got no pickles. They also lacked mustard, which is standard on a Cuban. After checking-in the Pollo Tropical a few time I noticed they had some very bad yelp ratings (as do most fast food chains) and decided to read them. I became annoyed pretty quickly after reading them So here's my take..... Pollo tropical is a fast-food restaurant offering healthier and fresh choices for a low cost price. You mainly find a variety of different chicken choices such as chicken and rice or grilled chicken wraps and sandwiches. They also offer a nice assortment of different sauces to go with your dish. The location here in Wellington is extremely busy. So much so that during lunch every register is opened and they cannot even fit one more thing on the grill or person in the kitchen. The food is always served hot and fresh with a smile. For the people who complain about having to wait in the drive-thru for 3 whole minutes maybe you should learn to cook for yourself. I was even more confused there must have been a whole chicken on there . I said no I pulled out my receipt and there was a 1/2 chicken meal and a family style corn .i said large coke . So now I finally got my 1/2 chicken rice and salad which I overpaid for cause the corn was 6 bucks and I didn't feel like standing there for another 1/2 hr to clear up 2 bucks . Horrendous! Disgusting! Filthy! I've been to this Pollo Tropical (441/Southern Blvd near Lowe's) three times within the last six months and tonight iced the cake for me. Months ago, I went inside and ordered a TropiChop. The order was wrong and the chicken was dried out and over cooked. The second visit was the same story, my order was completely screwed up and the food was not very good. The restaurant itself was not clean. Tonight (12/16/18), My family and I entered the drive-thru which took 25 minutes to serve four vehicles. I ordered a chicken and rice TropiChop W/ no beans, a plain pulled pork sandwich, balsamic tomatoes and a side of fries. We never received the balsamic tomatoes, the fries were cold and the pulled pork sandwich was loaded with coleslaw. There was also a hand written sign posted in the drive-thru window that read "no sauce". I noticed the passengers ahead of me we're getting out in the drive-thru line and going inside for their sauce while the driver waited on the order. My wife walked inside to correct the order and noted how disgusting the establishment was. She said the soda machines were flat so the restaurant was not charging for beverages. She also said the sauce bar was completely disgusting as it was very dirty and unkept. I cannot believe this place is still in operation. I love Pollo Tropical but I will never visit this particular establishment again. This restaurant needs new management and new workers that understand how to fulfill a basic order. read more
