I would go back again, the food is quality and the atmosphere is very clean. The line to place your order is outrageous at lunchtime, and so is the drive through line. So if you go, be prepared to wait a while. I got a "make your own bowl" with the pork. I will say, the pork was very fatty and I wouldn't get that again. The chicken looks like the best bet. I decked the bowl out with all of the options and multiple sauces, I still felt like it was a bit flavorless. They could definitely season their veggies much more....give it some oomph :) I'd go again for a healthy meal on the go, but I don't know that I'll be a loyal repeat customer.

I placed my order through Grubhub and it was an easy process. Our hotel was only 5 minutes away from this location but we decided we would just eat in our room. I ordered the plate that came with grilled chicken, yellow rice, black beans, and a roll. My sister had the churrasco plate which included meat, white rice, black beans, and a roll. We also ordered a side of potato wedges. Total was about $45 with all the extra delivery and app fees and we waited about 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Upon receiving our food we noticed that the food was already lukewarm, not hot. Disappointing. The chicken was pretty good, it was juicy and not dry. I also really enjoyed the yellow rice but the black beans could've used some salt. My sisters steak was good but they were very stingy, counted about 7 small pieces of meat. We did not receive the potato wedges so no comment on that. Overall the food was good, I would definitely order from here again but I would ask for the food to be extra hotttt.

The employees very rude to my elderly lady. Left food out longtime

If I could give a zero I would poor customer service , employees very rude !!! Was very mean to an elderly customer, she asked for white meat chicken was given dark meat then the employee stated she doesn't know what she want!

Surprisingly good for airport food, and reasonably priced for the location. Extra $ for cheese and guac. Coke products in stock.

Stopped at this Pollo Tropical on my way to dropping off my husband at the airport.. I was very upset that the parking lot is full of potholes... I tried to avoid but eventually hit a few of them...they were all over the place. Tried to placed the order online, but their APP is horrible....it gets stuck, it does not allow to view the cart....etc.... Decided to just go in and order....the place was full....one cash register person doing the sales transaction and getting the drinks...poor guy....In the back, 6 people working hard in the kitchen... Maybe it is an understaffing issue, but customer service can be improved...The meal itself was good and yummy.....

chicken, rice, and a roll in a styrofoam container

1/4 chicken with rice and beans and a side Caesar salad. Food was 10/10 and less than $10. The service was good and very welcoming The ambiance inside is nice to dine in but I usually like takeout.

why package the burnt plantains it would have been better they said they didn't have any more

I just left this location I ordered 1/4 grilled chicken with beans, rice side of avocado and a side of plantains, On opening my order at home the plantains are all burnt I am sure they seen it before packaging it, the wing was crunchy the breast was over cooked the avocado was wet as if it was fresh the shower or it went for a swim for 19$ I will never go back to this location Can you give -ZERO stars ????

they had the longest line around 1 pm today . Only one person in the register not good for been in lunch hour. My food was ok. I ordered the family and the chicken was so dry. Rice and beans were ok . Cesar salad was good . I don't know what is happening to the pollo tropical but so far in this location and the one in pompano bad experiences . Where the have the sauces was very messy !! I used to leave in the West coas and so different there hope they can learn from them ( and this our newer locations too )

Great food. Always Hot. I'm a big fan of Pollo, they gave me a free meal for my birthday. Half a chicken meal with rice and beans and a side (I got a salad ) as well as their delicious Hawaiian rolls.

We were looking for somewhere to get a very satisfying dinner at a slightly early bird time. We were the first people in the restaurant for dinner and we wondered if the empty place held any bearing on the quality of food. Let me tell you... This was one of the best meals I've ever had while traveling. We were shocked and amazed at the large portions and the incredible flavor. We try to eat high-protein, and that was no problem here. We kept telling the staff to give our compliments to the chef. We had a few drinks, we had a really great long meal, and as we were packing up, more people were flowing in. We had leftovers, but since we were traveling, we couldn't take them with us, so we decided to sit tight until we had finished as much as we could. Worth it!

And it was very off putting to see that on the menu they had all these additional charges. It's +2$ after 3pm and then 2$ if you share food! That is ridiculous. I don't believe either of those are justified. Also if you get fajitas you only get 3 tortillas. Usually places are more generous with tortillas. Nonetheless , the food is solid. The chicken soup I got was very tasty and tasted very authentic. I also got the chicken sandwich with rice and beans. I opted for the breaded chicken. It was fried really evenly and the chicken was thin. I like that. The salsa on the side was vinegar based with big chunks of onion and peppers. I enjoyed that as well.

You have to go in the parking lot and get a ticket, but the restaurant will validate it. It has its own entrance from the parking lot. Right when you walk in, it feels very nice and upscale. My husband and I came for a happy hour experience, and tried just about everything. All of it was incredible! The guac was served with a mixture of plantain chips and tortilla chips, which I loved. The corn empanadas were surprisingly a little spicy, but delicious. The mac and cheese came in a skillet with tajin breadcrumbs, and was super creamy and delicious. The elote was probably my favorite. You can't beat truffle! I also especially loved the yuca that came with the beef. The drinks were super strong. After about a drink and a half (the hibiscus margarita and the Mexican mojito), I found myself needing to probably cut myself off. We sat at the bar, and the server who helped us was really nice. If you're looking for a nicer and more upscale happy hour experience, this is it. It's a great night out with amazing food. Highly highly highly recommended!

There was a large party that seemed to cause major delays, and we ended up waiting about an hour for our food. Thankfully, the drinks were strong, so we had a great time catching up while we waited. Everything changed when our fajitas arrived. We ordered the Mixed Fajitas with beef steak, shrimp, and chicken. After we'd been eating for a while, my husband suddenly said the steak smelled and tasted spoiled. I realized I had noticed an odd smell when I ate a piece earlier, but I thought maybe it was just me. Then one of our friends said she thought it tasted bad too and had actually spit it out into a napkin. We immediately called the server over. He took the entire cast-iron fajita skillet back to the kitchen and said he would check with the chef. After a long wait, he came back and told us that both the chef and the prep cook insisted there was nothing wrong with the steak because it had been cut just yesterday. They claimed the "smell" was coming from the sauce. We asked them to bring us the sauce separately. We all tasted it, and the sauce had absolutely no bad smell at all. It clearly wasn't the source of the problem. Even then, they refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with the steak, but they could remake the meat if we want. We then asked to speak with the manager. A young manager came over, we asked if any of them has tasted the beef steak left in the fajitas skillet, she said she believed us tasted and smelled it but she simply repeated the same explanation. She said they were a family-owned business that cared deeply about their reputation, so the meat had to be fresh. Her solution remained unchanged, she can bring us a remake of the meat. By that point, we had already finished most of the meal. What good would another plate do? We weren't asking for more food--we wanted them to acknowledge the issue and handle it appropriately. The ending was honestly unbelievable. They took just $6 off the entire bill, saying they had removed the cost of the steak from the fajitas. I've never experienced a resolution like that at any restaurant. The only conclusion I can come to is that this is a tourist area in Fort Lauderdale. They saw that we were visitors, figured we'd be leaving town soon, and simply didn't care about making things right because we'd probably never be back anyway. I haven't left reviews at Yelp for many years, but I'd like to share this experience. Hopefully it helps others decide whether they want to take the risk of dining here.

It was the sign underneath that read, "Too tired to cook today?" that made us take notice. Looking at the online menu we found that it was not only a who's who of Latin dishes of different nationalities, but they also served bar fare - chicken wings, burgers, quesadillas, etc. Not knowing what their specialty was, we never committed to it. But today was one of those days where we felt like something different and we took a chance. The gamble paid off big. The menu was all over the place, so not knowing what direction to go in, I addressed the waiter who was all too ready to help. He pointed me to some of his faves: the Bandeja Paisa, Lomo Saltado, and Ropa Vieja. I'd had my eye on the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian stir fry dish. The Bandeja Paisa is Colombian, and the Ropa Vieja - Cuban. I asked him what the nationality of the ownership was, when he revealed it was Colombian. I was immediately skeptical of ordering the ropa vieja - being half Cuban, I could not fathom the idea of a Colombian-owned restaurant pulling this off. So Joe took one for the team there. The waiter assured me that everything he has tried has in fact been delectable. But hey, what else is he supposed to say? But no, he assured me these were not marketing words, but words of experience. So I went for the Lomo Saltado which was served with black beans and rice, and french fries. He didn't hesitate to vouch for the black beans... I think he sensed my Colombian skepticism. Joe had replaced his fries for sweet plantains, so I took his cue and substituted my fries for tostones. But, not before warning the waiter that I would be particularly particular about the quality of my favorite plantain dish. He gave me a confident nod - so I played along. Joe's dish came out a few seconds before mine, and being the impatient carnivore that I am, I (let's say borrowed) his ropa vieja before he had a chance to pick up his fork. I was very pleasantly surprised. On par with any old clothes I have tried at any Cuban restaurant... and even better than some, albeit in longer strands than I've experienced. However, extremely juicy, full of flavor and tender. Then came my Lomo. I'm a first-timer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was fan-tastic. A bit charred outside with a juicy medium innard that cuts like butter, and to my relief, deceivingly tender. The lomo napped on a bed of sautée-charred veggies whose sweetness was a nicely balanced contrast to the savory meat. The black beans were definitely on point and seasoned with Colombian love. And those ten-ton-tostones!!! By far the thickest fried medallions I've had, but with a brutally loud crunch and still a real easy chew. And unlike John Travolta in a black T-Bird jacket, totally Greaseless. Often times, tostones of this variety are tough and as chewable as week-old yellow paper mache. Nope, these are some of the best tostones I've had in a couple of years. But by far the best of their kind. I also borrowed one of Joe's sweet plantations which once again left no trace of greased lightning and were rendered a perfect dark brown with a nice and plush sunshine yellow inside. The portions were more than generous and the price was comfortably modest. I expressed my deepest gratitude to our waiter for his patience and his spot on recommendations. He also swore by their burger which he had just sampled for the first time and which is made partly with Colombian chorizo and served with a side of chimichurri. Chorizo and chimichurri for little cha-ching.... I'm sure I'll be chowing on that real soon. Food Corner is a cornucopia of Latin influences, and so far, it's also a master of two of them. (We were too excited to take photos)

I was hesitant when making the reservation because from my experience when restaurants are this close to performing arts centers or arenas the food tends to suck, but I was not disappointed. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday night before watching Harry Potter in concert. We parked near the theater, but the restaurant has parking designated to its customers across the street and in the back of the restaurant as well. This is a bonus for me as I avoid downtown Fort Lauderdale because of the parking. We got seated quickly. The patio area is very nice and cozy, but We opted to sit inside. The inside is very small. You almost feel squished of how tiny it is. We started with the yuca à la huancaina. This was definitely not what we were expecting and the taste was okay. We then had the chicharrones and it wasn't bad, but I've had better. I ordered the wild caught Argentinian red shrimp. This was absolutely delicious!! The portion is not big enough to share, but I can still taste how savory the meal was. I did feel like our server was rushing us and our entree took long to come out, but the last meal I ordered made up for it. They also have a special for those attending the Broward center.

Then seemed annoyed when the manager confirmed we were ok. Thanks buddy. Thankfully we were being served by the kind male bartender with the female server being sweet enough to bring us menus We made sure to have our order in as soon as asked. The male bartender was great. Friendly and made us feel welcome. I have been to this restaurant many times because I love Chimney house and these are the same owners. So I was truly grateful that the bartender, female server and manager were so kind. The owners do a great job as hiring such great team members. Because of the managers hospitality we asked about future events and have already planned to stay at an air bnb across the street for the upcoming soccer games. Small acts of kindness go a long way for keeping locals happy with your business. The food is always consistently amazing. The ambience is just right with the perfect lighting, set up and views. The team members are always so friendly and great at making you feel welcome. Not to forget- Best lomo saltado and skirt steak! Don't miss out on this gem

The portions are healthy and a $30 entree is easily enough for two with a toddler. I would only venture the whole thing if I was working construction again or just got done with a tough workout. The skillet meal we ordered (bandeja paisa), with crispy pork belly, picanha, Morcilla, Columbian sausage, egg, arepa (grilled corn cake), maduros, red beans and rice was all perfectly prepared. My daughter snatched the avocado so I never got to try it, but she seemed to enjoy it so it must have been good. All meats were cooked to exactly where they should be. My only minor complaint is that i would have preferred a runnier egg.

The restaurant was split into two sides with a trinket store offering money transfer services. The Colombian espresso single shot was an absurd $4.00 but the food here is supposed to be excellent so I ordered a beef empanada. It was small but flavorful with a semi-crispy shell at only $2.50 it was a steal. The gender assigned bathroom outer door had a cartoon guy wearing a sombrero hat indicating the men's room. Clean with Terracotta Mexican style flooring providing an earthy vibe with an out of order urinal.
