I would go back again, the food is quality and the atmosphere is very clean. The line to place your order is outrageous at lunchtime, and so is the drive through line. So if you go, be prepared to wait a while. I got a "make your own bowl" with the pork. I will say, the pork was very fatty and I wouldn't get that again. The chicken looks like the best bet. I decked the bowl out with all of the options and multiple sauces, I still felt like it was a bit flavorless. I ordered the plate that came with grilled chicken, yellow rice, black beans, and a roll. My sister had the churrasco plate which included meat, white rice, black beans, and a roll. We also ordered a side of potato wedges. Total was about $45 with all the extra delivery and app fees and we waited about 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Upon receiving our food we noticed that the food was already lukewarm, not hot. Disappointing. The chicken was pretty good, it was juicy and not dry. I also really enjoyed the yellow rice but the black beans could've used some salt. My sisters steak was good but they were very stingy, counted about 7 small pieces of meat. We did not receive the potato wedges so no comment on that. Overall the food was good, I would definitely order from here again but I would ask for the food to be extra hotttt. read more

There's a gentleman there that always looks out and makes my food, he seemed to be the only one. The only one who can wrap a "Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap" the proper way. I eat here three times a week, 12 times a month. If the gentleman's telling you he'll make my food cause you're doing it wrong, let him. Around 8:15 PM, I placed an order to be ready at 9:30. We showed up at 9:40 and it was not ready until 10! I love pollo tropical- affordable prices and good food- you can't go wrong with that. This location however, is always packed, the drive through line is a mess and if you go inside the staff is very rude. I understand they can be overwhelmed but there's no need for poor customer service. The one way I have figured out to avoid the long wait is by ordering online and going inside to pickup my food. There's an area for online orders- although it's not always the best system because you do have to wait a while to get your food, it's faster than going into the store to order or even trying to venture into the drive through. The food is good but when I asked for the bread buns the lady at the counter said they had no buns that day- there was a stack of buns behind her but I didn't have the energy to fight her so I just let it go. Because of the number of people coming into the restaurant, that sauce bar is typically a mess.
