I have come here for service several times, and each one has been a disappointment. They rarely complete work on time. They rarely perform requested safety checks or timely communicate key results. They are always trying to up-sell. Today, I dropped my car off at 7a for an oil change. I explained that I needed a brake check, possibly a brake change, and that I had to have the car back by 2p. It's now 2:16p, my car is not ready, and my brakes are not changed--even though they need to be. Instead, despite my time restrictions, these folks have wasted the day doing software updates that could have waited, rather than fixing real safety problems. If you value your Jeep, your safety, or simply your time, stay away from Pollard. read more

This review would be more so for their parts department then their sales. We have purchased multiple cars through Pollard through Gabe in sales and the experience went well. Their parts department is one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. We needed to purchase crossbars for our new Jeep so we could mount ski racks on the car. The whole process has taken more than three months. First we purchased the racks and when we went to install them, the parts were clearly a return that someone had purchased and brought back, and parts of the racks were broken and unable to be installed. We tried to reach out to them for over a month before finally getting ahold of someone in parts. This was a younger guy who treated my girlfriend like absolute crap on the phone and wasn't helpful at all. We still have not received any phone call or email back from their parts manager who is a complete joke. Finally I reach someone through their website who is more than helpful. Him and Blake try to make this right and apologize and say they are extremely embarrassed for what happened. They even go as far as to deliver the new set of racks to my girlfriend at work. We get home to install them. There are parts missing, broken plastic in the box, only three keys instead of four. Some parts don't even go to these cross bars. The crossbars are scratched, nicked, and most certainly a return. At this point I give up. Congrats on swindling the money from us. I'd rather right this off as a loss and buy these directly from Thule then spend one more minute of my time dealing with your parts department. Due to your inept parts deparment you lost a customer that had purchased two vehicles from you. Big thanks to Cory and Blake doing everything they could to make this right. Jimmy (the parts manager) has to be the worst manager on the face of the planet. After multiple calls, emails, message, we still have not received one word back from him. I have a 20-year-old jeep and the passenger seat belt got jammed. I took it in, they replaced the belt with an aftermarket unit. (Original units are no longer available.) I got home and a day later discovered that the latch wouldn't work. The seatbelt popped out immediately. This is pretty surprising - surely they tested the seatbelt before returning the car! It's critical safety gear. We had to leave for a long trip the next day but I called twice once we got back to ask for guidance on whether it was something that they could do quickly via the quick lane or if I needed to schedule the work. I never heard back, and since I rarely use the car it slipped my mind. I finally got into the shop. First I got hit with a general "it's your problem, not us failing to properly complete the work". I could understand that attitude in general - it's been a few months - but they have the odometer readings and can see that I rarely use the car. Now I just got a call that the problem is that the latch is broken. I thought the latch was included in the earlier work but they say it wasn't... but it ultimately doesn't matter because THEY RETURNED THE CAR WITHOUT TESTING THE SEAT BELT THEY JUST WORKED ON. I've tried escalating my concerns internally - I'm not worried that someone slipped up, I am worried that even the possibility that a car went out the door without someone checking the seatbelts worked should have had the service manager, if not the general manager, run to assure me that they take safety seriously and that they'll call everyone together to remind them to fully test any safety equipment they work on. It would take less than five minutes. Instead... crickets. That's fatal. Possibly literally if we hadn't had a second car that we could take to the airport and if we had been in an accident. There's only two possibilities when it comes to safety - you either take it seriously or you die. Anyway I'm not trying to get out of paying legitimate bills. If the latch needs to be replaced. I'm not looking for free service. However if the latched needs to be replaced now then it needed to be replaced when I had it in the shop and they worked on the other part of the seat belt. Failing to check then was a screwup but everyone has bad days. Failing to take it as a clear warning today is inexcusable. They should have made it clear that they consider security paramount and that nothing will leave their shop until everyone takes a five-minute reminder to check and double-check everything when they work on safety gear. 44,408mi - March 17th, 2015 I write this on 10/21/2015 In March of 2015, at ~44k miles, the motor in my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport died. A rod started knocking on the way home from a weekend trip. I am the first and only owner of this vehicle, purchased new in November of 2009. Unfortunately, the warranty for the power train is 5 years and had expired in November of 2014. Things happen. I put on my big boy pants, emptied my sons college fund, and spent $5250 forPollard Motors in Boulder, Colorado to replace the motor. I was sold a 3yr, 36k mi warranty with what I was told was a factory certified, rebuilt motor. 45,845mi - June 10th, 2015 I work from home. I don't drive my Jeep much. Almost immediately, I noticed a puddle of oil dripping from under the Jeep that was not there before the motor blew. After calling Pollard Motors service department and speaking to Mike, I'm told 'Oh, well you see we are really busy and booked well into the next month'. Cool. I'll wait. I dropped my vehicle off on 7/17/2015 and was told it was a timing cover issue but no worries, because it's under warranty! Hey, I get it. Things happen! Here is the invoice indicating everything was covered under warranty! Phew. 46,590mi - August 28th, 2015 I noticed some random fluid leaks from time to time. I was planning a family road trip so I stopped by Pollard for them to check it out. Mike, once again said 'We are booking in October the earliest now!' (this was in August). Well, I figured I'd get an oil change and have SOMEONE look at it to make sure everything was good for the road trip. I was told they couldn't see anything significant to worry about, oil change, coolant filled, I should be good to go! I wasn't. On August 28th, 375mi later, 2557mi since March 17th, the motor replacement, the motor fails again. First few hours of the road trip, leaving me stranded on the side of the road for hours with a 1yr old. AAA towed it to the nearest dealer in Lander, WY (Fremont Motors). I continued on with my road trip, in a rented vehicle. Well, because of communication issues, warranty, issues, sourcing motor issues, my Jeep has been at the dealer. From August 28th, until now, October 21. Here is what I'm being told by Fremont Motors in Lander Wyoming. According to Eric Cooper, at Fremont motors in Lander, Wyoming (307-332-8336 - ecooper@freemontmotors.com) they are going through aermanufacturing.com I'm not sure why they are going through another re-manufacturer's warranty when the warranty was supposed to be Mopar. These are the numbers Fremont Motors gave me: Total is $2766.10 Total parts $880.55 Labor $1728.88 EGR valve. $198. new belt...etc. etc.. Intake $401.50 (I find it hard to believe the intake warped in the less than 2k miles of easy around town driving....and who's to say this lemon replacement motor didn't cause it if it did?) (these numbers are me jotting them down over the phone as no one has sent me any paperwork yet) What they want out of MY pocket - $1966.10. They are saying the warranty only covers $50/hr labor and no other parts. I have some questions: Why was the paperwork I was handed, and warranty I was told, a Mopar warranty, which covers labor, and not just $50/hr of it (I mean, Pollards labor is more than $50/hr and my timing cover was covered 100%) I understand rental car costs and any other incidental costs are not covered under the warranty, but 2 months? Who's to say the lemon replacement motor that died in less than 2k mi motors didn't damage the intake? Pollard didn't notice any other issues with any other parts a mere 2k earlier, maybe their motor swap damaged those parts? I've been trying to get Pollard Motors to answer these questions. I've left numerous messages (4 total) over the past month and each time I'm told the warranty guy is in a meeting, or in training (goes back and forth). I decided to post to social media on 10/13. Blake responded via twitter. I responded. Mike S. Calls me and asks me to email him. I did. No response a few days later. No response a WEEK later...another email... a RESPONSE! However, it's now past first thing in the morning (it's 3pm) and no one has gotten back to me. I wonder if I emailed sales and asked for a response how quickly they would respond! I must be invisible. Looked at two Jeep Grand Cherokees on the lot in plain view of the sales office. No one came out to offer help. Walked in to the office, no one noticed. Milled around the 1 car on the floor for 5 mins. No one noticed, greeted me, or offered to help. I'll spend my $50,000 somewhere else. If I do decide to test drive a Grand Cherokee again, it will be at a different dealership. For now, I will be driving an Audi and and a Range Rover as I work through the list of possibilities. The customer service from the service department was extraordinary. I bought my 2019 Cherokee from a dealership in California along with 5 years of oil changes. I brought my car to Pollard for the first oil change since I purchased my car, and apparently the finance company in CA sold me a package with the wrong oil cited. The woman helping me from the service department spoke to the finance officer in CA and handled the situation for me, solving the problem swiftly and effectively. Because if their help, I was able to to get an oil change without paying out of pocket. I really appreciated their above-and-beyond service and their kindness during the process. read more

I recently bought a loaded up 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from Pollard in Boulder, our first vehicle from them. We had a great sales experience with Pollard and came away with a great deal. Turns out this particular Jeep had a weird issue where the front end would shimmy at random times and speeds so we took it in to get it figured out and Pollard was fantastic. They gave us a loaner and had everyone working to figure out the cause, but they couldn't. Turns out even Jeep was stumped. Instead of making this our problem they owned it. When they realized they could not identify the issue, they didn't push the problem back on us and they offered to give us a new one. While it was a very long process to exchange it for a new one through an intermediary company, Pollard was great and did all they could to make us happy. Bottom line, the sales experience was great, and Pollard stands behind their customers after the sale. The service department is first rate and honest, and when things got tough the top management in the company stepped in to make sure we were satisfied. We now have our new 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland and we are very happy. Pollard has all my Jeep business from here on out. read more

We've leased a couple vehicles from Pollard and while the front end of the deal went smooth, the end of the lease portion left us with a bad taste. First, James M. called to remind us that the lease was ending soon and when we said we may buy the car he responded with , "Well I hope you don't you don't get penalized $2,500 for buying the Jeep. That just happened to another customer." I told him I was confident that the lease we signed didn't mention anything like that. The next conversation was through email and this time we told him we've decided to turn the leased car in and go with a different manufacturer. His response: "Well, hopefully you don't get hit with damage to the car." The guy clearly tries to scare you into leasing another car from Pollard. The worst part was this same guy told us we had a 10 day grace period after the lease ends to turn it in only to find out Ally only gives you 7. We ended up with a $27.00 bill for the extra day, called Pollard and explained what happened. The person I spoke with transferred my call and I left a message for the person explaining what happened--never heard back! What started out as relatively good experience ended on a sad note. I actually found one that was much better than my previous jeep. It was definitely worth coming to Boulder from Denver. Major shout out to Gabe East who helped me obtain my sweet,sweet ride. He really just let the car sell itself. I didn't feel pressured to buy like the other Denver-based dealerships I went to. I can tell you that if you have a Jeep with an extended warranty, they will try and charge you for ANYTHING they can push outside of the warranty. They also get you for as much labor as possibly on a simple tightening of my center console hardware and a few minuscule repairs, that apparently required them to keep my Jeep for 3 total days. They proceeded to charge me for a "diagnostic" on something that had nothing done too it. Had I not looked over all the fee's I would've been paying an extra $150. I got 3 apologies after it was all settled and I went through each item. Also got my car just before COB Thursday when it was "diagnosed" Tuesday morning. read more

If I could give ZERO I would! These unprofessional employees and owners are crooked sleazy people! That's all they hire! I bought a car from them outright in January 2019. I had problems with it 2 weeks after purchase. I wanted to return it and get my money back. But the person who bought it for me wanted me to keep it. I ended up moving out of Colorado in August and they agreed to buy the car back and refund my warranty. I dropped the keys off and they would issue the checks once I sent the title. I got the title (I paid movers to haul my stuff from Colorado to Ohio) and Overnighted it immediately. KEVIN the rude power struggling prick he is said I had a lien on my car and they would not buy it. So In September he tells me that. I called and spoke with his boss dave. He tried figuring it out but told me I'd probably have to fly to Colorado and go to the dmv. I called the dmv and they said there is no lien but there are 2 titles. I do not have 2. Pollard never gave me the first one so I had to pick up a new one in February. So being pregnant and high risk I was unable to fly out to handle it. Dave told me it was fine if the car was there and that they'd still buy it once I got the title sorted out. This was in October/November. I had my baby in beginning of 2020 and had been calling to let them know I'd be sending them or dropping off the title. Nobody returned my calls. So I ask the receptionist what I should do. She tells me to go ahead and send it in. 3 days after that I get a call from rude Kevin telling me my car was stolen it's not their fault they will not cover it and call the cops. Thankfully I recorded our conversation. He stated he put my keys in the ignition for me to pick it up. My car was the only car stolen off of their lot. He gets into a power struggle and hangs up. So I finally get through to someone above him. Bob was the only person who was remotely nice or helpful. I've still been in contact with him while waiting for the outcome. Now they're saying my warranty was never cancelled so I'm missing almost a years worth of my warranty refund. I call and get hung up on by the stupid receptionist who can't handle the word shit. My car was stolen, I've been screwed out of my warranty because of their carelessness and inability to do their damn job. And she hangs up. Will not answer or put me through to anyone with authority to handle my situation. I've been nice long enough but I will be contacting everyone possible. Better business bureau, attorney general and the owner who is never in the office or returning calls. STAY AWAY FROM THESE INCOMPETENT CROOKS. THEY DO NOTHING BUT THE MINIMUM! Took my daughter car here for its first oil change. The actual visit went great. Nice dealership. Nice waiting area. I informed the service tech that I would be driving from CO to CA that day so I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and safe with the car. The very next day after arriving in CA the check engine light came on. I took a few days later into the dealership I bought the car and they informed me all the oil had leaked out of the car due to the plug being put in incorrectly AND the oil filter still had the INSTALLED BY FACTORY LABEL ON IT! So Pollard not only didn't change the oil filter at all and they incorrectly put the plug in so the car leaked oil all the way from CO to CA. When I called very upset at the situation Andy (service manager) didn't apologize and said I had to send pictures and a service order for the work i had done in submitted this documentation and it took over a month for the reimbursement to come. I asked for a credit for the additional charge I had paid on the day of service, that is yet to be refunded. I have emailed Andy 3 times and left him a voicemail with no response. I find this customer service unacceptable. Update: Just tried to call Kevin as instructed below and he no longer works there. I called as soon as he posted that below. read more

In the end, Pollard came through. After some internal turbulence they once again made it easy to drop off a vehicle for service with a complimentary ride to/from work. The quality of the work, at least as of last year, got better and all my issues were resolved. They had no idea (AKAIK) that I posted the previously negative review. So I had to bump them a star. The people that work there, as stressed as they are, seem to actually care once again. In any case, I negotiated a used soft top as part of the sale. However, after months of inquiring about it, I was ultimately told it wasn't going to be "procured." Just Awful. Couldn't bring myself to buy my new Gladiator here because of the way I was treated while shopping but decided I would let them do aN oil change and tire rotation because it's so close to my house. They broke the TPMS. Had me come back for a second appointment to diagnose and 3 hours later said they would repair it at no charge but that I would have to schedule another appointment. On arriving for this third appointment instead of repairing it at no cost they told me it had tO be diagnosed again. Hours later telling me they 'found' the issue but that I have to pay to have something repaired that they broke. Get your act together already. I will never go here again. Not even to be trusted with a simple oil change and tire rotation. read more

Service department was great, I worked with Joshua. We found out the main problem was that a tire sensor decided to stop working. Once they fixed it they noticed my wipers had torn (was nice not having to go to pep boys and just fixing the issue there.) With Jeep wave my oil change and tire rotation was covered. So all in all a good experience. Brownie points for getting my vehicle done faster than expected. It was originally scheduled for Wednesday but I was able to leave my vehicle with them earlier than the date and they got her done faster than ever. They gave me a call and now I get her back sooner than expected. :) read more

I have been treated like crap here on multiple occasions. My Cherokee has persistent transmission issues that Jeep won't recognize. The service department has ignored Jeep's own customer care team to properly diagnose the problem or clear it. My vehicle had been in the shop for 3 weeks without answers, sympathy, or resolution. Stopped here during a roadtrip and had a Uhaul trailer - they helped us detach and reattach the trailer and let our dog hang out inside while we waited - complete with treats and a dog bed! I had been emailng with Cory at Pollard for about a week back and forth going over options and similar. He stated he didn't have the exact one I was looking for but had one very similar if I wanted to come by and test drive it to get a good idea of what to expect. I showed up earlier than I had expected to meet with Cory. Another sales associate had walked up and asked if I needed any help. I explained that I was there to meet with Cory to test drive the vechile we had spoken of. The other sales associate quickly got the Jeep in question located and got me on my way for a test drive. When I returned Cory was back and came over to greet me, the other sales associate introduced me to Cory and turned things over. I was AMAZED as this was never the behavior I've seen at dealerships in the past. Cory is a stand up guy and knows a ton about Jeeps and was more then happy to answer any questions I had in regards to them. All in all this was a great car buying experience with zero pressure and I ended up buying the Jeep I had gone in to test drive after I figured out I didn't need the other features I was looking for. I'd recommend the Cory at Pollard Jeep any day of the week to a friend seeking a new Jeep. read more

Well, that was my first disappointing experience with Pollard Jeep in Boulder. The service was free, having just recently purchased a Trail Hawk (love). Our computer screen was acting up and going blank so we made an appointment. When Michale called to let me know the mechanic is almost certain that our insurance pod (AllState gives us a decent discount to keep plugged in the Jeep). That was a good find, but it sounds like Chrysler needs to do a software update to accommodate the insurance pods, or at least meet to talk about universal codes and what-not. Michael, the service rep couldn't have been more surly over the top home when he called to tell me about it. "Keep it unplugged, and I'll bet you won't have the screen act up anymore". I asked again if he would pass along the software update request and he said "Chrysler is not gonna' do that for AllState". Surely it's not just us, I started to plead. Upon realizing my pleading reaction, I thanked him and told him I would be there to pick up my Jeep shortly. I was so impressed with this place until today. Now I think twice about adding another Jeep Wrangler to our family. Shame on you, Pollard Jeep. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would! 1. They delivered my NEW Jeep Renegade with a crack in the windshield. At the time it wasn't a huge deal because they told us to bring it in for a FREE replacement. 2. We live 30+ minutes away and each time "scheduled" appointments in Boulder for the repair SEVEN times! This was over a time span of 8 MONTHS. Yes! 8 MONTHS!!!!! Each time we drove to Boulder, dropped the car off for a COUPLE of days in a row to then, A. Not have the windshield replaced B. Several times when we went to pick it up they didn't even know what they were suppose to fix (DUH THE OBVIOUS CRACKED WINDSHIELD) 3. We received the repeated nonsense and lies. These are (no joke) the serious responses we received: "Ohh we ordered the wrong one." "Ohh what were we fixing on your car again?" "Ohh there isn't a windshield in the entire US for your vehicle." I very specifically said, there was *no money* for any other repairs. They ran the diagnostic, said it did not apply to my car, and that they did not have the part and could not order the part. I can't speak to the service side of Pollard, but buying a used car here was quite possibly the easiest, smoothest, simplest transaction I've ever made. Granted, I'm no car-buying rookie. And with the Interwebz the way they are today, nobody should be! You kids have it easy. Do your research. Compare prices. Know, before you even step foot in a dealership, what you can and can't afford, and what you're willing to pay per month. And above all, don't be scared. I spent one hellish week working as a car salesperson, and believe me, many of them are trained to smell fear. You're like chum bait in the water if you go into some of these places all feeble and clueless. But I'm getting off track here. NOTHING like that happened to me at Pollard. I made the long drive to Boulder because I wanted to see one vehicle, and one vehicle only. I'd spotted it on Autotrader.com, researched it extensively, checked its value on Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book, and called ahead to make sure it was still available. Gabriel East was more than happy to answer my questions in full detail, and had the car out front ready the moment I pulled up. I'd warned him in advance that I had limited time to spare, and he bent over backward to make sure I'd be back in Denver in time to pick up my kiddo at preschool. In short, I test drove the car, asked all the questions I needed to, negotiated the price ($1000 below Blue Book), scored a loan (a REAL one, not one of those fakey-fake things where the dealership calls you back a week later like, "whoops! we weren't able to finance you, ha ha!"), and was back on the road to Denver in the space of about an hour and a half. Pretty unheard of in the car-buying world, but Mr. East made it happen because he knew I NEEDED it to happen. Extra bonus points for volunteering to replace the windshield (it had a small ding) without me even having to ask--- AND putting it in the paperwork so I wouldn't have to stress about a "he said, she said" situation later. Safelight/Elite mobile repair actually came to my house to fix it without so much as me having to change out of my pajamas, too. Nice. And DOUBLE extra bonus points for driving my newly-purchased ride all the way from Boulder to my front door in Denver during rush-hour traffic just so I could have it that night without having to beg friends and family to drive me back up there for pickup. That's right-- because I went to purchase the car solo (and for those women who are afraid to enter a car dealership without a Big, Strong, Smart Man in tow, I say "grow a pair" --of ovaries!)-- I had no way of transporting both vehicles back to the city post-purchase. I may be awesome, but I'm not THAT awesome. Mr. East volunteered to drive that new-to-me 2006 Mazda Tribute from Boulder to Denver that very evening... right to my front door, red carpet delivery-style. Now THAT's service. read more

STAY AWAY! The Service it truly is "hit" or "miss". Been a customer off and on for about 15 years. Guessing there is to much pressure on revenue and the team rushes to complete the jobs and customer service (including quality) takes a second seat. As soon as you walk in, it is evident they have not re-invested heavily into their surrounds. Talking to other customers / friends / neighbors, it seems as if they have a history of rounding up to the full billable unit and it is not uncommon to have to bring the vehicle back a couple times to finally get the problems solved correctly. Although I have known this, the challenge is they are by far the closest Jeep dealership to Boulder. For the next few years I will take my business else where even it means driving an additional 20 minutes to Thornton. read more

I purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee last year. (New) I have been having the dealership service it since. Yesterday I took it in to their shop for an oil change and small front running light replacement. In attempting to replace the light the technician broke the plastic holding the light in place. My comment is that they must have not trained the technician and that this mistake should never have happened. I am still waiting with 2 feet of snow on the ground. I made an appointment to have my 2013 Jeep Wrangler serviced for a recall and an oil change. I specifically told the gentleman at the front desk that I wanted synthetic oil not 5W20. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours, my car was finally ready. As I drove home, I noticed the oil sticker said 5W20 instead of the synthetic oil I had requested. I stopped on Arapahoe road to call them back. It took them over 30 minutes to contact me to let me know they had used the wrong oil. It took 30 minutes because the technician was out test driving another car. They offered to come to my home, pick up the car, do the oil change and return it back to me. This would be done the following week. I didn't want to be without a car for an entire day so I decided to bring it back and have them take care of it once and for all. It's now 3:08 and I've been inconvenienced since 10:30am. I'm now sitting here waiting for the oil to be corrected. It'll be interesting to see if they offer me a refund. We will see. I will not be bringing my Jeeps back here for oil changes. Warranty issues, yes. It's been a very disappointing experience. By the way, I asked for some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Guy looked at me like I was crazy. Talked to his manager. I was refunded $30 (the difference between the regular oil and synthetic oil). Big deal. I expected them to comp my entire bill. read more

When I new into town, my friend recommended that I take my Jeep here for service. I went a few times and they definitely did good work and were professional, courteous, and honest (they even have a shuttle service, which is a nice touch). On the other hand, they are ridiculously expensive! A new battery was over $300 (this apparently included $200 for diagnostics - hmm. there's no power and the car wont start... how much diagnosis does that really require?!). the last straw was when i was quoted a price of $2000 for a MUFFLER. To be fair, when pressed, the guy admitted that it was ridiculous and even offered to get me a quote from Meineke (which came in at $400). In short, this is a great place if you dont mind paying A LOT. read more
