Even with one visit, you can tell this local shop really cares about their customers and their pets. This shop has everything: food, treats, toys, accessories, leashes, harnesses - you name it, they have it. During holidays they tend to carry holiday-themed things as well (ie: halloween toys and treats, Christmas toys, etc). You can buy prepackaged treats or you can create your own bulk mix (they provide little baggies). Last time I purchased: a brush that dispenses soap (to make it easier to give my pup a bath), some bulk treats (chicken/carrot/apple bites, dried chicken strips), bully sticks, teeth cleaning gel, no-hands leash, and some cat treats/toys for a few friends. For me, large pet shops can get overwhelming and I don't love running between 10 aisles to find what I need. At Hungry Tails, I know I can easily walk through the entire shop and find everything I'm looking for, in addition to learning about some new products or brands. The owners also take pride in only stocking items that are healthy and good-for-your-pets so I know I don't have to worry about quality. If you're in the area, definintely pop in - or, at the very last, make sure you take a look at their window display, which is always adorable. We walked over and it was a real gem. The couple who were there greeted us immediately and were super helpful. It is a cute store full of fun things as well as the necessary pet supplies so we didn't just leave with the litter scoop that we had gone in for but also some treats and a very cute Red Sox outfit for the cat. (She may not have been so happy with this one, but it did give us some great photos.) I love helping out small stores with people who love what they do and this store feels like that kind of place. My daughters will be back!
