My husband and I had a great time painting the pottery and they played some good music, so the atmosphere was great. They were also able to finish our pottery in three days, so we appreciate that. However, we were not happy with how they fired our pottery since the colors have melted and did not come out as expected. I reached out to them and they couldn't do anything about it. I wish they did a better job with educating customers how to use colors and what to avoid so they don't screw it up in the firing process. I've been to other places like this and this is definitely the most expensive one, plus doesn't do a great job on their end. read more

Took my daughter for her birthday. She worked diligently to put the required three layers of paint on her piece. She was so proud of her finished product and then it was burnt to a crisp. You have one job, and that is to fire people's creations. I had to break the news to my distraught daughter. Polka Dot pottery was unapologetic. They offered to reimburse me or let her paint something of equal value. In the end it works out for them because my son got to paint another thing, which I had to spend even more money on and waste even more time on. Oh, and it's crazy expensive. Never again. read more

We had such a fun time experimenting with the different colors and paint textures. We came on a Sunday afternoon and pretty much had the place to ourselves. There were so many different pottery pieces to choose from and Bayleigh was a great help. We had two little girls with us that (5 & 3) really got into it. I freaking LOVE this place! A few weeks ago I took two of my five grandchildren for a day adventure. I had never been to Polka Dot Pottery but had heard wonderful things about it. The closest location was at the downtown River Square Mall, so off we went. There was a myriad of pottery choices to choose from; things like coffee cups, plates, bowls, seasonal figures, everyday items, etc. The vacant tables were all cleaned and ready for us, complete with palettes, paper towels, a washout bowl, and every color and type of paint you could ever imagine. I chose a large coffee mug for me to make, and my grandkids chose some Halloween figurines. I had such a great time, I ended up coming back the very next week, only this time with my girlfriend and her 5-year-old daughter. While there for the second time, we met and visited with the owner, Kimberly. She was so friendly and helpful and made us feel like VIPs. I was not surprised to see that she treated all of her customers the very same way, but she still made us feel like we were the only ones that mattered. Men (and ladies), if you have the kids or grandkids for the day, I would highly recommend this place. Not only is it fun for your kids, but you also get to spread out your creative wings. Oh, and it's very affordable, so even if your project doesn't turn out exactly as you had envisioned it would, it won't be a huge loss, as you've created memories along with it. We came here on vacation and saw this place at the mall. We were celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday while visiting my older daughter who just moved to Spokane. My daughter decided this is where she would want to go on her 19th birthday with her sister to paint and do some art. At first I thought the prices were a little high for the pottery however, we have done this before and most places charge for using their products as a service charge on top of the pottery. This place combined everything in one price. Considering your paying for using their paint, for the pottery and for them firing it, I believe the price was actually not too bad. My girls had a great time and we would definitely come back to do another painting girls day out. read more

My husband and I made an appt in advance, took time off work and packed up our one year old to get prints done of our son. When we arrived, the place was closed (2pm on a Monday). Waste of time and energy! I'm going to look for another pottery spot in Spokane. read more

This place has been a fun tradition for the past 6-7 years - every Christmas break this mom and daughter spend half a day here painting, talking and making our keepsakes. Super relaxed, talent is not required, and the staff has always been remarkably helpful. They have endless color selections, and all sort of treatments and inspirations around. Most of all, I love the location - we always have lunch, shop a bit and then head to Polka Dots. After all these years, she's now coming home from college, we still make sure we plan for this fun afternoon - I love seeing so many other families in there - it's the perfect afternoon to talk, paint and relax together. read more

Cute little pottery place in the mall. Customer service was definitely lacking and prices were a bit expensive. We walked in and nobody welcomed us or offered to help us or give us instructions, there were only a few tables working and two employees. We kind of already knew how it worked, so got our paints and did our thing. When we were almost done painting, someone asked us if we knew they had glitter paint, that would've been helpful information at the beginning as we definitely would have liked the glitter paint. Prices where high but I was happy with the selection. I was very sad that ornament that I worked so long and hard on was no where to be found. It seemed to be no big deal to the employee. I was asked if I wanted in store credit. I said I guess so and was only give a credit for the the item, I do understand but at the sametime I am made it wasn't for more to help make up for my time and loss of something I was excited that I made. On top of all of that I drove from thr valley to pick it up and had to pay for parking for nothing. Go say the least I was very disappointed read more
