The first time I visited The Clay Connection back in 2013, I was taken advantage of and the owner at the time was all about getting as much money out of you and belittling you when you asked questions. I purchased hundreds of dollars and didn't know what to do and was so turned off by my experience, that I never pursued pottery. Yesterday, 6 years later, the new Owner Linnell spent over an hour going over clays, tools, and firing with me. My experience was amazing and Linnell was so acknowledgeable. Prints, pottery, baskets, woodwork, and a lot more. You could spend a bit of time in the store and come away with some unique, one of a kind local art pieces. Located just behind Aunties Bookstore, next to Barrister's tasting room. You could make a great local day perusing books, art, tasting local wine, and walking the park. I can't wait to go back for a longer browse and purchase an item or two for Mother's Day.

This little co-op is amazing. It has a large variety of different artists for whatever your taste…read moremight be. They have jewelry makers, glass workers, painter, pretty much anything you can think of. The shop is run by the artists themselves, and they are some of the sweetest people. They are very knowledgeable about what is in the store and willing to talk to you about anything if you have any questions. It is all local artists, so it makes for great souvenirs for people coming in from out of town. Or even for locals who want something made locally to decorate their house. One of the really cool things is that each month they have an art show that showcases both artists in their gallery and others who are interested in participating. The work is always changing in both the gallery and the shows so you aren't walking in and seeing the same stuff every time. I find this particularly fun and cool because it gives you a reason to go back and just explore what they have and see new things. It's a small little galley that is located in the Liberty building, right where Auntie's Bookstore and Uncle's games is. It is completely worth checking out if you want to find something unique and original that will remind you of Spokane or the Pacific Northwest.

Really, really poor service. We were working with Brooke and had around $2k of plants in carts for…read morepurchase when she waved to someone, said, "I have an appointment.", and literally walked away. We pulled our carts to the front ourselves and asked the checkout shack staff for help. The clueless blonde said she didn't know what was going on either and did not offer help. We sat there in the sun until Brooke sauntered back, we got a couple more things and checked out for $2,600+. We got a $0.20 rebate through their Rewards program. Yes, a twenty cents for $2,600+ purchase. They wouldn't even give us free delivery, so that was an extra $200. Fast forward to $200 delivery, which amounted to wind-shorn plants in the back of a pickup truck. The trunks of two $300 trees were bouncing off the tailgate where they had fallen over. One tree was near death, with the entire top covered in crunchy dead leaves, browned branches and leaves severly eaten by insects. We refused the one tree and returned to Barn and Blossom to pick out a different tree, until we were told we had to pay another $200 delivery fee. NO, WE WON'T PAY FOR THE DELIVERY TO REPLACE THE NEARLY DEAD TREE YOU TRIED TO DUMP ON US. After, $2,800+, I would have expected a basic level of courtesy the first time we were there, at least the second time, but no. There is zero service and if I could give negative stars, I would. We have alot more yard to landscape and it won't be through Barn and Blossom. The response from Barn and Blossom's owner was, "We are glad you won't be coming back as you are not welcome." Such poor service, even from the owner...now they created a Disney level fantasy novella below about how great they are.

One of the beautiful things about smaller galleries like this one is that you really get to spend time with each piece. It forces you to slow down and appreciate what's being presented. We went in expecting to stay for 15 minutes and ended up staying for over an hour. This is a great addition to the community and I would highly reccommend stopping in and supporting this local art community.
