Four weeks ago, I would've left a five star review for the woman who did my manicure, but I returned this week to get a pedicure and the woman who did my toes not only vaped while she was giving me a pedicure, but talked on the phone, which is a level of rude I have trouble quantifying. Yes, she gossip in her language for 10 minutes or so completely ignoring me as I discovered that I didn't particularly like the color but honestly, I was so shocked. I didn't even know what to do never in my life. Have I experience that and I work in retail and I would be fired on the spot if I ever sat on a 10 minute phone conversation while on the sales floor. It was awful and honestly demoralizing to be downright dismissed. It was one star or zero star experience, but that sweet woman who did my nails four weeks ago did such a great job that I can't quite destroy the business. read more

Although the pedicure was ok. It just seems very odd to do everything to my feet without even soaking me first. I find this extremely disturbing, especially in the days of covid. Pedicures are done in this order 1. Remove polish 2. Cut toenails 3. Clean/cut cuticles 4. Soak 5. Polish In my 20 plus years of getting Pedicures I have not experienced this, only in this area of NJ. I've even had Pedicures in other countries and they was never done like this. It's actually a bit nasty. I guess I have to make it my business to get my Pedicures in NYC, because this is the second shop in this area that does this. And it's simply not going to work for me. So I have a few places to me that are VERY local. This place is one. I came in as a walk in. .... a day before Easter weekend. The place was EMPTY with 1 person getting a pedicure and one getting a manicure. Bad sign. There seems to be really bad nail etiquette going on here. I'm sitting at one station. There is another person right next to me getting her nails done, and a guy standing right over me. For the 30 minutes I was there, all 3 were all deeply involved in a conversation, with my nail tech as the star story teller. If it weren't bad enough, she would stop every so often to either make hand gestures or eye contact with the 2 other employees. Don't ask me what they were talking about - I don't speak what ever language they speak . I don't think my nail tech made eye contact with me more than once. She would just tap the light for me to move my hand but she'd do this while she was chit chatting with the other 2 I literally felt like an inconvenience. When I left I noticed that the gel was wavy and thin. Then.... the next day 2 nails chipped. RUN. The other way. read more

My daughter gave this place a try and came home laughing at how rude they were and how they wouldn't allow the light neutral gel manicure color she was choosing and basically bullied her into picking a different one. She just went along but found their behavior odd for a salon. Fast forward 2 weeks and guess what? Same behavior... rude with color selection again and this time cut her to the point of bleeding and no apology whatsoever just a condescending attitude when she wanted to wash the blood off her hands because they had to wait for her an additional 45 seconds and claiming that "now her hands were wet"!! Needless to say there won't be a third visit. Can't imagine this place will survive either. read more

Let me start out by saying I used to love this place. I would come in on a bi-weekly basis for the powder SNS nails, as it was the cheapest around. After my most recent experience, however, I will not be back. I went in to get my nails done on Tuesday. The woman doing my nails quickly began to make rude comments about how short my nails were, as she always does. I ignored them and picked a color, to which she told me to choose a different one. I eventually ended up picking one of their new colors, a pale, whiteish pink. For those of you who have never gotten an SNS manicure, they require many coats. She did three and then began to prepare my nails for the top coat. The color of my nails was invisible. It looked like I had put on a layer of clear coat. I kindly asked her to fix them. She said she couldn't. I asked her to add more coats. She said she couldn't. I asked her to take it off and do a different color. She said she couldn't. Now visibly annoyed, she began to have an attitude with me. She claimed that she couldn't do anything because it was "too late." She blamed the difference in color between my nails and the sample on the fact that "the sample's base is white." I showed my mom my nails when I got home before I explained any of this to her and she actually said "those don't look done." If I'm going to be paying $35 plus tip, I want to at least look like I have nail polish on. I understand that not every customer will love their manicures, and as someone who avidly gets their nails done, I have had some not-so-great manicures. It comes with the territory. However, these nails were a despicable excuse of a manicure. Not only did they look NOTHING like the display color, they didn't even look like I had nail polish on! Seeing that I was incredibly irritated with the job she did, the owner offered for me to come back the next day and have her fix them free of charge. I could see the disgust and irritability on her face when he offered that. I decided not to go back, as I have no interest in ever stepping foot in there again, let alone spending hours taking off the powder and putting it back on. For anyone in the area of Hillsdale/River Vale, I would suggest Coco Nails. It's $5 more for the SNS manicure, but they do a better job and are MUCH nicer. They also have an incredible reward system. Bottom line, if you want to avoid rude workers and a botched manicure, avoid Polish Nails. read more

Hello- we have been going to polish on and off for some time. It's not your fanciest of salons, but it is always fast and owners are friendly. But, last night my daughter came home from college and went to get a gel manicure. Her manicurist VAPED and blew smoke at her while she got her nails done!! My daughter asked her stop and she ignored. How is this even allowed indoors at a public salon?! I wasn't there with her. Had I been I would have refused to pay. The manicurist was also rude and aggressively tapped my daughters hands when time to "switch" hands. I will be calling today. We have plenty of salons in the area. Skip this one. read more

The staff here is AMAZING! They are so attentive- they always remember my family members which I think is so sweet. The atmosphere here is so warm and inviting. I come in and feel instantly relaxed. The best part is the FULL (timer and everything!) 10 minute massage you get during the pedicure. I also have to note that their back massages are the best! This has been my third time visiting this salon and I only stop in when I am in a rush or my lady at my salon I've been going to for over 4 years cannot take me or is away. The first time I went in the owner did my nails and I wanted my cuticles done nicely and she said oh they are fine and didn't touch them. No they were not. Second time I went in, the owner did my nails and they were OK so I went back today. Today the girl doing my nails was absolutely terrible. My cuticles looked better before I walked in there. She literally pretended to pull skin from my nails. There was paint around almost all my nails - probably because she didn't glide the brush and kept tapping it onto my nail. I dried there for 15 minutes and by the time I got home after running two errands they were still tacky from all the polish and top coat she used Definitely didn't deserve the tip and will absolutely never go back again. Great nail salon. It's very clean and there's never a long wait. They give a timed foot massage during your pedicure and massage your back while your nails are being done. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they don't have as many different gel nail polish options as some of the other salons. They have a variety of basic gel colors, but not any of the trendy sparkly, metallic or marble options. I'm planning on asking if they can add those to their collection. read more

This is one of my favorite places to get my nails done. Everything was very clean, and they used new tools for everyone. The service was amazing, everyone was so sweet. The day we went was very rainy, so the people who worked there walked us from the car with an umbrella. Also, they do an excellent job and the prices are great!
