Sliiiightly acidic but mostly sweet, right balance of savory and sweet. (Kind of wished it was served with a side of bread and butter). I love challah and asked if they had any. The woman goes to the top shelf and gets a pre-wrapped in a plastic bag challah. It has their nice logo label with the list of ingredients and that's where I was shocked. Artificial butter flavor. Artificial? Not real butter? Yellow food coloring, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C yellow #6 and #40. This is the same as buying one at the supermarket. The reason they have so many ingredients in supermarket bread is for a longer shelf life. A fresh baked bread only lasts for a couple of days, which is fine because the quality and taste is better than store bought bread. The beauty of getting fresh bread from a bakery is that bread should only have a few simple ingredients, which is not only healthier, but also tastier. There were many other breads that were freshly baked without being pre-packaged, so if I'm in the area again, I will give it another try. If it's as good as people say, I will change my review.
