Do not buy from here!…read more Dishonest and illegal practices in place Called in the morning to look at a jeep wrangler. The sales rep was persistent in asking me to come in. I explained to the dealer on the phone what I was looking for and that I was looking to buy today with a credit card. He said that was great and to please come in. Following the interaction with the car dealer I started getting text messages that were clearly generated by AI. These were annoying and kept persisting that I come in. When I responded saying I was coming in, the auto response was to ask for Shawn or Angel. I drove 1 hr to come out of my way to see the car. When I got there, I asked for Shawn or Angel and the dealer on the lot smiled and said they aren't here. Another person approached me with keys to the car and said he was not a dealer but would show me the car. The jeep had 4 tires with drastically different tread wear on the the 4 tires. I asked about it and they said this is the way it came to them. I asked to see the CarFax report and so they showed it to me. The report showed tires had been mounted in Marietta, GA and the previous dealer that owned it was in Florida. I told them what they were telling me didn't make sense about the tires. The previous dealership in Florida would not drive to Marietta, Ga to mount tires that were clearly used and worn differently. They went quiet... I haggled on price and offered a final asking price then handed them my credit card which the owner replied with we don't accept credit card payments. I told him the man I talked to on the phone had told me that it would be ok. The owners response was, that was not me. At that point I was done. They are not honest with their practices, they are utilizing staff that are not licensed dealers (illegal), they are doing repairs and maintenance on vehicles that is inappropriate and illegal (putting used tires on vehicles) and they are being dishonest with the forms of payment they are willing to accept then not standing by anything that is said or promised on the phone. Avoid this dealer at all cost.

I wwnt into the experience as prepared as possible, but from the outset there was double speak going on from the sales rep Reggie. When I initially asked if I can have a mechanic look at the vehicle I was interested in, he said yes, but they have to come TO the dealership. It wasn't until I called around asking if mechanics came to dealerships that I learned that no, they do not. I would have to bring the car to them. When I told this to Reggie, he then.game me paperwork to fill out to take the vehicle to be inspected. Why couldn't he just led with this in the first place? After inspection it was found that the back brakes were not functioning safely and the air conditioning needed repairing. I took it back with the price quoted me to fix it and said I would purchase the 2011 Ford Escape if they took off the cost quoted to me so I could take it for repair. They then informed me that they would send the vehicle to their location in Lawrenceville to have the repairs done. To make a long story short, Reggie didn't seem confident or very knowledgeable in response to many of the questions I had. On a positive note, he did call back to update me on the status of vehicle AFTER I called to say I hadn't heard anything back during the span of time given to me by the manager of the shop. Overall, Reggie can improve his customer service by being knowledgeable about the vehicle the customer is interested in and being prepared to answer. Towards the nearing of the vehicle being returned hours after he quoted me a time initially 30min. Which he said was told to him by his manager he was telling me the car was coming on a truck, then he looked up and saw the person driving it in. So the vehicle had been driven from Lawrenceville back to Marietta. I'm a sensitive human, sensitive, not weak. So i work best with and try to seek out businesses that are caring, attentive and helpful. It was like I had to guide Reggie is how to interact with me as a customer.

I understand people unhappy with transactions are more likely to post than those with good experiences...and that's why I am here today. The vehicle I wanted was likely one of the least expensive vehicles on the lot. I advised that I would be flying in and would pick it up Saturday morning. Mike Goodall at Select advised me to call their car service when I landed and they would arrange for transportation to the dealership (didn't have to do this---didn't even know it was a possibility. Vehicle was cleaned and had a full tank of gas when I picked it up (other posts commented that this wasn't the case). Dealer advised they would overnight titling paperwork to my local DMW in Florida and that I would be able to register it in Florida the following week. I received confirmation of shipping from the dealer when it was sent, and the tag office called two days later and advised I could stop in anytime to complete the registration. I'm still waiting for the crap to hit the fan due to the reviews... Go and get my vehicle registered and have my vehicle tagged the following day. End of story. I'm not a fan of traveling more than 30 miles to buy a car, but when you're looking for a specific car and it's 500 miles away I hope your experience is as good as mine was with Select Luxury Cars. Every person I came into contact with at Luxury was courteous and professional. I highly recommend this dealership and encourage other customers with similar experiences to stand up for this dealership. Matt LaPlante
