South Florida Ducts - AC service call

South Florida Ducts

(116 reviews)

A real pleasure having South Florida Ducts replace all of our home's old leaky ducts and vents…read more From the fair and transparent pricing (no surprises!), the timely scheduling, the great communication, to the professional, clean, and properly engineered install, it was a great experience for what was a dreaded necessity. I highly recommend Jeremy and his team: Robert, Amit, Wayne and Ronaldo. Hard, hot (heat of summer) work done right.

We used SFD over the course of 3 years to maintain our two air handlers and condensers. Two technicians from other companies noticed the condensation bulb in the air handler was removed and said that was a big no-no that could have contributed to the unit failing. (I'm not saying it did since there's no way to know but it was certainly disturbing to hear that). When I asked SFD about this, they they either never noticed it or just missed it and that it wasn't that big of a deal. That was a little disappointing to hear because we paid hundreds of dollars for their bi-annual maintenance plan and they had just inspected the units although this time they sent a less experienced tech. They also gave us conflicting information about whether the other (working) air handler needed to be cleaned or not. I liked these guys a lot and trusted them but ultimately there were too many red flags and so they lost our business.

Suncoast Electric and Air - Free service call with repair over $300!

Best experience with electrician, hands down I would give 10+ stars for my experience. Chris was extremely helpful over the phone and with our needs. We also got to work with Harold, who was super responsive and kind. Mike, the other tech was especially helpful when we were in a big time of stress cause we had a faulty breaker panel that was due to a poor home inspection. Plus some outlets that were also unsafe. They fixed all of these issues in a 2 day period and for a good price. I'll be asking for Mike for anything we need in the future he was the best, taking care of everything we needed. Mike went above and beyond by explaining issues to me while he was inspecting our outlets and breaker so I knew why they needed to be fixed, and so much more about electric in my condo that will help me down the road in knowing if something is going wrong Thank you guys!

I had a circuit breaker replaced in the electrical panel. I had done this procedure myself in a previous home but am unable to do it now due to health problems. The breaker in Home Depot is $18.50. The time it took to replace it was 35 minutes. The charge that I paid for this service was $275., an exorbitant amount by any standard. The average charge in Florida for a licensed electrician is between $100 and $150. per hour. I will not be using SunCoast Electric again.
