Portions are so bad, way too expensive for what they give u. The spicy tuna looked radioactive. Don't go here go to hokibar way better.

First time back here in 2 years! Reign of fire is still my favorite & now my husband loves it too! The girl working today did a great prep job! So much of all ingredients & sauces! Love their poke! It is a 90 minute drive so it has to be worth it - and it was!

I've always liked sushi but more recently, I constantly crave it. This was my second time trying a poke bowl and I will definitely be revisiting Pokeloha frequently! If you are unfamiliar with the concept, think a sushi version of chipotle. My fiancé and I both went with the bowl route and each customized what we wanted in it. There is the option of ordering recommend bowls if customization isn't your thing. The ingredients were fresh and tasted so yummy! But most importantly, the yum yum sauce was the best I've ever had in my entire life.

First time here and they gave me some nasty bowl with half of it filled with sauce or whatever they put in , made my food soggy and nasty and inedible. Don't get their boba tea it's nasty too and doesn't taste like boba at all! It like a chalky pineapple taste... so disappointed cause I like poke bowls

I drive by this place all the time and I finally went! First of all it is great to take to go and enjoy at home! Secondly, everything was packed with flavor! I thought it was fairly priced for what they serve and their variety of options. Seriously everything is so good and the thing I love about places like this is you can change what you get every time. Knowing this is so close to me might be dangerous !

My create-your-own poke bowl ($10.45) measured 6" día x 2" high, and was built as fast as I could choose my base, proteins (some cooked, some raw), mix-ins, sauces, toppings, and crunchies. I liked the many fresh options, including tasty zucchini noodles. The portions were generous, and the opening day service was welcoming and helpful, while the dining area was clean and new, with contemporary background music. The menu features poke bowls and sushi burritos, but they also offer ramen bowls, Boba tea and delicious mochi ice cream. Very nice!

We really liked our food at this new place- got the Chicken Gone Wild bowl and the Spicy Crunch sushi burrito. I could go for even more spice on the burrito- maybe add jalapeños next time, or have them put the wasabi and pickled ginger inside and not just on the side. Will definitely be back to try more stuff from their big menu. The Ramen bowls would be very nice in the upcoming cold weather, I'm sure. The people working were very nice and helpful and I love how spotlessly clean the restaurant is. Keep it up!

I've always wanted to try a sushi burrito and I was very satisfied with Pokéloha's! It was packed full and super filling, I could've eaten half of it and been full! We also got the spicy miso ramen which I loved the broth but didn't love the egg or chicken. The egg was cold and the chicken I'm pretty sure was rotisserie chicken. The total for the two things was around $23 which is quite reasonable I think considering other ramen places are more expensive. I will definitely come back for another sushi burrito

We no longer felt like we were old friends and they were happy to see us, but just customers. Service was slow and sporadic. The menu is kind of the same, bit the food was completely different. I have never had salty such rolls before. Could barely eat the Alaskan roll for the salt and that was without soy sauce. Had to ask for Wasabi for our rolls. Teriyaki chicken had a nice flavor, so kudos on that part of the meal. Previously, Omo's was our go to restaurant when we got to KC. I have just been given an excuse to try other restaurants. Ambiane looks the same, but music was way too loud and even the chopsticks are nice, but not as nice as they were. But, at least they aren't disposable. We miss the old chef and waiter.

The place is on the corner with so many windows, that you can really enjoy the sun on a sunny day. They always have some sort of anime or something related on TV, and the inside includes high top seating, along with booths and tables (and a bar if you want to tuck in there!). Has a spot for everyone! One day after having some beers at a local spot, my partner and I were craving some ramen or noodle dishes. We stopped at Boru on his request, and I cannot get the Dan Dan Noodles out of my head! Just went back and tried my second of the four flavors of ramen (spicy miso!) and it hit the spot for a chilly weekend day--even better: ramen bowls are only $10 during the first hour of happy hour (3-4 pm!). Along with ramen options, they have noodles, sushi, steamed buns, appetizers, soju, same, beers, and cocktails. Honestly, if you're looking for a great happy hour place, a great little place to stop for some noodles or ramen, you shouldn't miss a chance at coming to Boru! My mom and I had dinner here on a weekday, I would definitely recommend getting reservations on the weekends because the restaurant isn't that big. I also wouldn't say it's a great place for large groups. The menu isn't too large or complex but it seems like what they do they do right. I only gave four stars instead of five because the portions were kind of small for the price. My mom and I split all the dishes. We got dumplings, boa and Dan Dan noodles. By far my favorite dish were the noodles, they had such a different flavor profile than some of the other Dan Dan noodles I've had. Also, I'm a sucker for a soft jammy egg and this was the perfect texture. Some Dan Dan noodles I've had are in a thick peanut sauce, these were instead in a spicy broth with slight notes of nuttiness. This dish was a little too spicy for my mom so, if you don't like spice I probably wouldn't t recommend these particular noodles. The dumplings we picked were the chicken and basil ones, they had a light fresh flavor and weren't heavy or greasy at all, I easily could have eaten two orders of these. Now, the biggest surprise was the boa because I was expecting one thing but was pleasantly surprised with something new to me. We got the Char Siu Boa and instead of a traditional boa bun it was in a buttery encasing, more like a pastry crust. It is quite pricey, $15 for one boa but it had a generous amount of roasted barbecue pork. The filling was simple but the outside was melt in your mouth deliciousness. I will definitely keep Chewology in mind when I want a unique dining experience( it's a Taiwanese inspired menu) that still is comfort food.

Every detail feels intentional, from the plating and presentation to the atmosphere itself. As someone who appreciates design, Noka absolutely delivers. Food-wise, there were two undeniable stars of the night: * Wagyu Nigiri (100/10) - One of the best bites I've ever had. Rich, buttery, perfectly balanced, and worth ordering every single time. * Crab Campanelli (11/10) - Absolutely incredible. Comfort food elevated to fine dining quality. If I came back tomorrow, I'd order this again without hesitation. Other highlights: * Filet (10/10) - Beautifully cooked, incredibly flavorful, and paired with perfectly prepared bok choy. Everything on the plate felt intentional. * Night Market Wings (8.5/10) - The quality was excellent. The sweet heat profile just wasn't exactly my personal preference, but that's purely subjective. If you enjoy spicy food with a lingering, slightly numbing heat, you'll probably love these. * Shrimp Tempura Roll (8/10) - Very good and executed well. * Tuna Roll (7/10) - Good, but it was the least memorable item compared to some of the standout dishes we ordered. Noka excels at creating a complete dining experience. Beautiful atmosphere, thoughtful presentation, excellent service, and several dishes that genuinely surprised us. For a special occasion, date night, or anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Kansas City, it's absolutely worth a visit.
