The menu is extremely easy to read and follow. The food was DELICIOUS. It's one flat fee unlike other places where they limit the number of items you can add to the bowl (with the usual extra for avocado). A bowl and burrito with two proteins each and a soda was about $30 which I think is an incredible price. It's a cute modern cafe with tons of seating. We were helped right away and the workers were kind as my fiancé and I decided what we wanted. They also have a sign telling you what's in the sauces and what sauces to pair together. Only reason for the 4 stars is the burrito isn't folded on the sides so it's hard to eat as you get to the bottom. read more

Surprised there's not more reviews saying it's overpriced and not enough protein. The sushi burrito was all rice, barely protein. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna are not chunks, more mashed, so definitely don't go for these. Spicy crab salad was good heavy on the spicy mayo. The first good poké we've found in the area! All the flavors were balanced, all the ingredients were balanced. We both had bowls- I had the Aloha and he had the sunrise I believe. I asked for no tempura flakes, and please add some pickled ginger. My husband thinks next time he will either ask them to leave the red onion out or just go in really lightly with it. The fish was fresh and cut to a good size, and the carrots and cucumbers are shredded into thin ribbons. Mangos were crunchy and not sweet, but the sour flavor was a nice addition regardless. They also offer sushi burritos, but I much prefer bowls. Ramen is on the menu, but not currently offered, and I saw a small selection of milk teas. Great, fast service. We really liked our food at this new place- got the Chicken Gone Wild bowl and the Spicy Crunch sushi burrito. I could go for even more spice on the burrito- maybe add jalapeños next time, or have them put the wasabi and pickled ginger inside and not just on the side. Will definitely be back to try more stuff from their big menu. The Ramen bowls would be very nice in the upcoming cold weather, I'm sure. I've always wanted to try a sushi burrito and I was very satisfied with Pokéloha's! It was packed full and super filling, I could've eaten half of it and been full! We also got the spicy miso ramen which I loved the broth but didn't love the egg or chicken. The egg was cold and the chicken I'm pretty sure was rotisserie chicken. The total for the two things was around $23 which is quite reasonable I think considering other ramen places are more expensive. I will definitely come back for another sushi burrito read more

I've had the spicy miso and Korean ramen both with Chashu/pork belly. I think it's the best chashu I've ever had. It was so tender and you can tell it was greatly marinated. Not to mention, there's fresh bamboo shoots and a delicious egg. They both have a spice and chewy noodles. Love the spam with the Korean as well. Maybe best miso or Korean ramen bowls in the city. Typically we are a "pack a lunch for work" home... but last week we decided to take a lunch break from work and check out this new Ward Parkway craze... ...I'll give this a solid three-stars. The new restaurant is clean and bright inside with seemingly enough seating throughout. Staff was professional and timely. Ordering out was fairly simple. It was ready to pick-up when I arrived. The food was OK. Flavor was fine. Sauce was a bit unnecessary. I generally like my food "clean" of lots of sauces and unnecessary add-ons. I ate 1/2 of a Typhoon sushi burrito, was disinterested in the rest. It was underwhelming to say the least. Price was a bit on the ridiculous side. Two burritos and two iced-teas turned into a quick $32 lunch that again, just wasn't impressive. Give it a try and see if it is your jam. This was a one-time visit for us. read more

My wife loves Poke so we tried this place. Hers was pretty good but I got the chicken bowl and it was 70% rice. A thimble's worth of chicken and sparse veggies for $16. Barely any sauce. Now I'm off to find find something else to eat that will actually constitute a dinner. read more

I decided to create my own and was definitely impressed with the freshness and flavors of the fish. I was really hoping they would have Wasabi mayo, but was suprised to find they did not carry the sauce.. It seems like a pretty standard sauce at most sushi, poke places.. So that would be a nice addition for them. I also got the sushi burrito the Vegas style, which was a definite disappointment. It was 90% rice, with maybe three pieces of salmon. The flavor of the crab meat was also a little off to me and overall didn't hit the mark for being $12. I would definitely go for the poke, but will save my $12 on the rice burritos. read more

I had my wedding catered by Pokeloha! Cyndi, the manager, was fantastic to work with. She was very responsive, friendly, and thorough when preparing for the event. The food was wonderful, and they even fixed something special for me personally (dietary restrictions). I think poke is a great option for weddings because it's super customizable and fits a lot of dietary restrictions. Our guests were also excited to have something a little different! Nice place, very simple, very clean. I'm usually not a fan of poke bowl but I tried it anyway, surprisingly I really liked it. Everything tastes fresh, smell fresh as well, I think it's better than most around that area. I also tried miso ramen which was very delicious, it's not too salty and it tastes different than most of the ramen shops around there. The portion was big so that's a plus. Amazing, fresh poké in KC! I always love poké when I'm traveling closer to the ocean (for fresh fish), but never knew I could find it right here in KC. The first time I went I tried the Hawaiian bowl. It was great and big enough that I split it between two lunches. The second time I did a build your own and tailored my bowl to exactly what I like - 100% worth it! I did pick up orders both times. Both times the order was ready on time and it was a quick and easy transaction. The ingredients are super fresh and so simple and yummy! The crab Rangoon dip and chips are great too.
