Visiting here from DC. I got a pokebowl here on Tuesday and it was probably the best poke bowl I have ever had. 5 stars. It was amazing! The staff was so nice! The rice was perfect, the fish was ample and fresh and it was a huge amount. I wanted to leave Burlington with Pokeworks as my last meal, but was hugely disappointed! Fish was cut into really tiny pieces and the bowl was 1/3 - 1/4 less the amount I got on Tuesday. What could have been an epic last meal was unfortunately just mediocre. Plus, the staff was not as friendly. 3 stars today. read more

Pokeworks - Poke Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

The restaurant is located on church street which isn't my favorite place because of the crowds and homeless. I found a parking spot and walked in and it smelled amazing in the restaurant. You order like you are at Moe's or chipotle and they make your poke exactly how you want it was pretty fast and the food was great, it was also reasonably priced. I will be coming back and I was impressed with the quality of the fish read more

Food is amazing even after delivery 1+ minutes away. Staff is always so friendly and if I ever call for a request that isn't online. I've ordered over 10 times and only had a missing sauce one time! Highly recommend the place food is fresh every time! read more

Pokeworks - Lobster and chicken with rice + my added toppings :) - Poke Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

Solid food, especially for the price, and one of the only places around here that is open past 7pm, god bless. More importantly, great customer service! Evan's a real one, what a chill guy, he brought a knife out to help cut my friend's birthday cake when I offhandedly mentioned it. read more

I did a make-your-own poke bowl to go and it was so good. I also ordered the spicy edamame and loved it. Since I was just picking up there wasn't much service interaction, but the employees were super friendly. My bowl was HUGE for the price and tasted amazing. Definitely worth it read more

Decent poke. Service is generally friendly. Place is bright, mostly clean considering self busing. I like the musubi. read more

I have come to this Pokeworks location many times and usually it's pretty solid. Nothing extra ordinary though. Today the rice was a bit crunchy and not cooked well. Other than that though, great toppings and sauce options. Nice employees, very efficient. If you want a quick bite to eat this spot is a good option. read more

Fast. Consistent. Good service. Items seem fresh. Great add ons and sauces for customization.

This is an adequate pokeworks location. Like all other pokeworks, they have a variety of toppings that are just out in the open, which i think is weird regardless of the location. Some of it is raw fish! With that aside, I like how pokeworks offers vegan poke. I'm not vegan but it's a great choice for a group of people who may have vastly differing dietary needs. There's not much seating indoors but when the weather is nice out it's great to eat at their outside tables. The person serving at the counter has always been nice to me. Interestingly, I think the Vermont natives are unaware that Pokeworks is a nationwide chain restaurant, not a standalone local hit among Burlingtonians. When compared with other Pokeworks locations (such as those in my home state california), this location is only ok-- it has what all pokeworks have, but the vibe is just not as good. Still, it's poke in vermont and it's not terrible. I'd also like to disclaim that I've never had the raw items here-- I don't really trust it when poke places just leave it out all day like that. So when taking my review into account, be aware that I can't speak to the quality of the meat ingredients. read more

This is a great spot for delivery in the Burlington area! I am in Vermont staying at a hotel for work and was not too excited with the options at the hotel restaurant. I don't know the area, so I decided to check out Uber Eats! I was so excited to see Pokeworks since I have ordered from other locations before. I got a build your own bowl with two proteins. I was hungry and it was the perfect amount of food. I got spicy tuna and spicy salmon with lots of different toppings. The spicy sriracha mayo was a great sauce. The delivery was super quick and came earlier than expected. They included napkins, a fork, and chopsticks. It was a great dinner and I was so happy that I decided to order from here! If you're in the mood for poke, this is a great option in this area! read more

Okay place. Decent bowl but zero customer interaction. Would go back if in a pinch. Not blown away tho.

I've been giving this place another chance for the past four years and I'm doneee. The prices have gone up so much but the quality of the food is not at all worth it. It's slightly better in person, but over delivery is always a miss. I've gotten orders with icy, tough, and chewy fish. The serving of the fish is inconsistent but always toward the "wow I can't believe I paid for this" end of the scale. The sauces I paid for weren't included in the order, but they were on the receipt! Ingredients get left off orders or unwanted ones get added- most recently, there was avocado mixed in to my bowl when I never asked for it?? The taste of it was all over everything it was so bad. And I'm aware it's on me for going back here, but man they're really taking advantage of the bleak state of Japanese food in the area. You probably won't get food poisoning from here, but you'll sure suffer in other ways. read more

They only had pickup option on Grub hub so I ordered pickup. I got build your own bowl with 3 proteins. I got salmon, ahi tuna, shrimp and half rice with half salad. Also, lots of toppings like avocado, pickled ginger, cucumber etc. Everything was so fresh and really tasty. It was simply amazing. If you are in the mood for poke, this is a great place to go. I'll definitely come back again. read more

Pokeworks - a salad in a plastic bowl - Poke Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

This place has extremely fresh ingredients (except for The pineapple which was clearly pre frozen). The flavor of the bowls was exceptional. The only complaint we had is that you don't get a whole lot of salmon or tuna. The pieces of fish are much smaller than some of the earlier the photos loaded to this Yelp. If you love protein you will probably want to get the large bowl which is 3 scoops or a protein instead of 2. They use an ice cream scoop to scoop the protein. Their kimchi was excellent. All ingredients were super fresh and tasty. We will definitely come back. Huge fan of the spicy ahi bowl. Also the salmon ponzu was DELICIOUS read more

Seriously one ordering station and no orders taken in person. Won't be back. I came here often but not again. So impersonal

Mmm, Pokeworks. I dunno about you, but every time I inhale me a nice, fat bowl of poké, the first thing I ask myself is "Hey, can't I do this at home?" To which the obvious answer is certainly not, but I'd like to believe otherwise. Seems to me like if I just cooked and chopped up a slew of rice and veggies and had some tasty fish at the ready, I could infact live on this cuisine all week long and be healthier by coincidence. But alas, no. Pokeworks throws enough texture in the mix -- my Umami Ahi bowl had flecks of garlic crisps and refreshing pickled ginger -- to remind you that this ain't something that can be created on the fly. We're glad we found the place on an evening when Church street was absolutely knackered with tourists, and there wasn't a seat in any restaurant, anywhere. We ordered to-go and chopsticked our delights with cocktails at a great little game bar. I'd definitely put this place on my menu list for quick, fresh, easy poké bowls, and they deliver. read more

When I found out there was a new chain Poké place in Burlington and that they were having a BOGO Grand Opening yesterday, there was no way I was going to miss it. They'd offered a free coconut drink served in a coconut to the first 50 diners. I hadn't seen that on the FB ad or we would've arrived at 11. I did see people with them at 3:30, so I guess they either sat around for a few hours or got super lucky they'd not run out yet when they came in. We got there about 3pm and the line was outside the door. Wait outside was only about 15 minutes. Took about an hour total to get our meals, but no complaints. Was to be expected. There were menus to look at in advance to figure out order in advance, plus an advertisement to download their rewards app to earn points towards future orders and $5 off first order. It also allowed you to add a credit card so you can pay easily each order (including adding a tip). You'll soon be able to order in advance on it, but it's not yet available. We ordered the spicy ahi tuna burrito and the sweet ginger chicken burrito. When you get a tuna, you can ask for half tuna, half spicy salmon. That's what we did. As we are ordering Chipotle/Cava Mezze/Core Eatery style (my three favorite chains), it's exciting to see a ton of toppings to choose from. We therefore ordered as many of the toppings as you could without overstuffing them. I'd never had a sushi burrito before, but I'd heard of them. Think a thick, hand sized sushi roll that is only cut into half versus tiny rolls. In other words, niiiice. They have a neat way of making these pretty quickly. After the employee puts a layer of sushi rice on the nori, it goes through a machine that makes sure it's really tamped down. From the looks on other people in line, everyone thought it looked cool. On the spicy salmon/tuna, we added sweet onions, cucumber, jalapeño, diced mango, ogo seaweed, shiso leaves, cilantro, green onion, pickled ginger, wasabi, sesame seeds, masago, Thai chili, toasted rice puffs. I got it with its suggested sauce, a sriracha aioli. The sweet ginger chicken we ordered with all of the above minus the Thai chili, masago, wasabi, rice puffs, ogo seaweed, getting garlic crisps instead. It came with a spicy ginger sauce. The regular size was ample. I can't imagine getting the larger one unless you're splitting it. You could almost eat a regular over two meals. The verdict? The spicy ahi tuna and salmon combo was a fiery hit. Like, first time in a long time, I felt I could breathe fire (in a good way). Loved it. It was bursting with flavors. The sweet ginger chicken was good, but I'm more of a sushi girl, so that wasn't surprising. It was not spicy, in the event others would worry about that. With the BOGO, I hadn't expected we the extra $5 would come off using the app and we hadn't wanted it to, but it made for an extremely inexpensive meal for the value. I'll have no problem paying $11.85 for full price in the future. The establishment itself is cozy with a decent amount of tables. They also offer miso soup and a dessert called Haupia, that is a coconut panna cotta with mango purée. I'm intrigued! Bonus is that all the fish is sustainable, the chicken is organic. I'm stoked that this is on Church Street. It's going to be a great frequent lunch spot for me. read more

I have ordered a salad bowl twice. The first time the dressing was soupy everything was swimming in the dressing. It was limp and everything turned into mush. The second time I ordered dressing on the side. But they put the dressing on anyway and again everything was swimming in the dressing so disgusting. It is all mush nobody will eat the meal now!. Then I tried to call them and they don't answer their phone. I will never eat here again. read more

Pokeworks - Two poke bowels and 40 degrees F! - Poke Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

Food was ok. Service was terrible. Walked in when the place was pretty empty, the staff were chatting behind the counter and on phones, and after some time a young man came to the counter, sounded annoyed, and said "what do you want?" I ordered a bowl from the menu and he proceeded to skip several ingredients. There were also a few running low, like seaweed salad and rather than replenish it, he just tossed the few strings left onto the bowl. Once it was made, he put it on the counter. I asked if they had any bags and he just dropped one on top and walked away. The next woman in line asked how his day was going and he simply said "not good." I get that we all have bad days but come on- don't take it out on people, ya know? The bowl was ok. Seemed fresh enough, but like I said, a lot of the ingredients I expected (based on the listed menu item that I ordered) were skipped entirely and it was mostly rice. Service was atrocious. read more

I've enjoyed my food here every time. The Hawaiian bowl is my favorite. The restaurant is nice and clean.

I eat mostly vegan, and I love Pokéworks. The tofu bowl is really filling and fresh. I especially like this location since it has this spicy Szechuan sauce that tastes like the mala sauce in mapo tofu. It's amazing with the yuzu sauce. Also really appreciate the compostable utensils, which is unfortunately not yet a thing at all Pokéworks locations. Would definitely recommend for a quick and healthy meal at a reasonable price of around $14 after taxes. read more

I wouldn't fault you for baulking at poke in Vermont, but after a day of flying I had the urge and it had to be satisfied! Pokeworks fit the bill perfectly! For about $14, you can have a Chipotle-like experience where everything is assembled to your order in real-time. They have a wide assortment of toppings (both dry and wet) and everything is designed to find that umami niche. I went with the ahi tuna, added some seaweed, soy beans, ginger, toasted onion flakes, cucumbers and masago. The portion was perfect and it was just what I was hoping it would be. As usual in Burlington, the venue had plenty of seating, wasn't too loud and had a pleasant and steady stream of customers. I recommend it! read more

Really excited for the new poke place right on church street! Large portions and I love how their pricing is so straightforward (they don't charge extra for seaweed salad). Good service and they have interesting sodas on tap as well! Easy to take out or take home leftovers with covers available outside of the counter. Very wide variety of toppings available - more than a typical poke place. The fish is very mildly seasoned so make sure you don't forget the sauce! Everything has always been very fresh. Baby friendliness - you can fit a stroller between tables and the ones closer to the front of the store are not bolted in so it offers more flexibility. The store itself is very narrow so if it is busy, it can get difficult to navigate without an extra set of hands. Did not scope out the bathroom. read more

Unfortunately, the Garlic Spam Musubi is not available in this location, which was the only reason why I went. I was upset because there wasn't any sign that said spam musubi was unavailable and I was in line for awhile. Anyway, since I was already in line and was hungry, I tried their spicy ginger chicken. It's pretty good, I asked for a light sauce because I'm not very good with spicy. I thought it was still spicy so if you're not good with spicy, try something else. There are some soy sauce, sriracha, and sesame oil available on the side. That helped lower the spice level for me. All in all, service is good. Food is good. Aside for the spam musubi being unavailable, I liked this place. I would probably come back, if I lived in Burlington. Hopefully, they'd have the spam musubi available soon. read more

Had this for lunch while shopping in Church St. Got the #4 because the restaurant was noisy and I'm hard of hearing. The girl making the bowl was still intent on asking me what else I wanted. Too many wonderful and unique choices so I said I wanted it just as the menu. So good! So good, in fact, that I went back today. I didn't even have any sound to do, just wanted more Poké! Got the #3. Since it was quiet today, I went exploring: pickled ginger, roe, crunchy garlic and a pile of seaweed salad. Outstanding. Mind blowing sauces. Very friendly staff on both visits. read more

i said i hated this place and i still do. last time i said "i never had the food i only get the boba but the food looks nasty. the avocados are brown and the garlic musubi has been there untouched for a whole week. almost everything is in the other food. the service is slow, if you know you have a long line work faster so that other people can get their food faster. but why $6.05 for a boba? that is small boba that is mostly filled with ice. the first time i got boba there it was okay it was kind of watered down tho(milk tea boba) the second time it was a lot of boba( same flavor but i LOVE extra boba) the third time i got the matcha but it didn't taste like matcha it tasted like the milk tea. i got less boba and it was kind of hard but it's overpriced. this is some asian chipotle." like come on. matcha is matcha. it tasted like milk with green food dye. im never going there again. read more

So grateful for the staff here! I have celiac so making my order can be somewhat complicated - But everyone has always been extremely kind, understanding, and helpful. They immediately change gloves, grab spare spoons, and are so kind about grabbing things from the back to avoid cross contamination.
