I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

After finding a few piercers that specialize in daith piercings for migraine purposes, I read many reviews and decided to go with Unhinged Tattoos Piercing. Broc is the one that specializes in daith for migraines. He was phenomenal. They even used numbing cream before doing the piercings. His wife held my hand so I could use it to squeeze and she held my head to make sure I didn't jerk so he could pierce in the right place. Absolutely no pain for the first piercing but he said the second would hurt because that was the side of my current migraine. Right after the piercing my migraine was gone. The right side did have a little pain, bled a little bit, and throbbed when I left, but within an hour all pain gone. I can even lay on both ears. I've been to Iris for 5 ear piercings. I'm always impressed with their service. The piercing…read moreprocess is always quick and they make sure to walk you through everything they are doing. In my opinion though, the best customer service comes after the initial piercing. A few weeks after your piercing, they will text and check up to make sure everything is going well. One of my piercings had to be taken out (my fault, not theirs) and they were super helpful for the entire process. They responded to my texts promptly and let me make same day or next day appointments to check out my piercing. They told me what I was doing wrong and switched the earring to one that could better fit the swelling. I ended up taking the piercing out because I didn't want to deal with the swelling anymore but if I had stuck with it, I could have gotten it down with the help from the piercers at Iris. That experience alone has made me want to come back to Iris. The only downside, in my opinion, is that you have to get pierced with a piece of jewelry purchased at Iris. They have a large variety of jewelry that you can be pierced with, which is good and they offer a few on the cheaper side. You just can't bring in your own jewelry to get pierced with unless it was previously purchased from them. This makes the piercing more expensive so just keep this in mind. If you're swapping out a piercing you can bring whatever jewelry you want. The shops itself is clean, calm, and has a good feel to it. There's lots of lights and piercers are available to help you through every step of the process. Overall, I'd highly recommend getting pierced at Iris. While it's more expensive than other places, the after care customer service and the service in store makes it totally worth it.

The worker today was a total brat. First of all, we got there at 11:30 and she was still trying to get things organized and set up, she had plenty of time to do that before we got there, unless she came in late. And she didn't even acknowledge we existed and then walked right past us and went upstairs to the food court without even saying anything like "excuse me, sorry I'll be right back". We waited for a few minutes and she never came back so we went to get a pretzel. When we came back and hour later she still didn't acknowledge us as we stood around the counter looking at the earrings we wanted. I had my mask pulled down to my chin because I was eating and drinking and she rudely said "can you pull your mask up?" I said "sorry I was eating" she said "yeah well you're breathing all over my counter" so I walked away and she irritably started wiping down the counter where I was standing. She just totally lost all of our business that's for sure. You don't treat customers that way.
