Loved our experience at punctured piercing and tattoo. Casey has done both of my daughter's ear piercings at 6 months years ago and both times we had really good experiences, ofcourse we had to take our newest addition also 6 months for her ear piercings. Casey and Autumn really helped make us feel comfortable through the process, answered all of our questions and took their time sharing their knowledge with us on placement and after care. they really made it easy to trust them. It's not always easy getting your babies ears pierced but we trusted she was in good hands and after the hard part was over she was still smiling. They do have beautiful jewelry, I got pierced there, and my piercing became very infected a few months later. I ended up going to the doctor and had to get the piercing taken out. I'm now on three different medication's and a salve. I do not recommend getting pierced there. read more

My daughter & I came into the shop in Oct 2022 to originally get my 3rd lobes & her vertical labret pierced. I specifically chose the shop because I found them on the APP website & I trusted the shops listed on there more than the random piercing shops (that don't have APP piercers) sprinkled throughout Utah. Unfortunately the "master piercer" was out of town, but the piercer said she could do my daughters nostril piercing instead of her vertical labret & also my lobes. When picking out jewelry, the girl at the counter originally quoted me one price for the most basic titanium studs with silver ends. When we paid, it was double what she quoted me PER EAR for my jewelry. In the piercing room, my daughter almost passed out because the piercer lost the transfer & essentially had to push the labret through her nose. She was trying to get the jewelry in for a good 20 seconds. My daughter has 9 piercings & said that one was hands down the worst--it traumatized her from getting her other side done in the future. She also picked out the most basic titanium post & a titanium star for the end. My 3rd lobes ended up having noticeably uneven spacing between each side (one is way higher than the other side, & there is WAY more room between piercings on one ear vs the other side), & the flatbacks of my new earrings were overlapping with my other earring backs. They would never heal this way because they were angled & pressure put on the earring itself. I had to put hoops in my 2nd holes after a week just so the 3rd holes could heal flat. It ended up costing us $300 for lobes and a nostril piercing with the most basic jewelry option available. If I would've known my earring backs were overlapping, I wouldn't have tipped what I did. I wouldn't even go back to get my ears re-pierced if they offered it. I'm sure it had to do with the main piercer being out of town, I am sure he is a more qualified piercer. Also, I feel like the girl at the counter added something up wrong, or she could've at least given me the pricing before my daughter had already been pierced & I was in the process of it. It was almost $200 for my lobes to be pierced. That's insane, even for a "high end" shop with basic titanium jewelry. Just very disappointed because we had such high hopes for a positive experience that day. read more

My friend and I were on vacation and she had been wanting to get her nipples pierced for some time now so I called around and made her appointment here. She was very nervous and due to Covid they prioritize health and safety but allowed me to join her so she would be more relaxed. The shop itself is AMAZING! I didn't even think to look in Bountiful for my next tattoo. I started talking to friends to see who they liked and one of them had just tried Casey for the first time and loved his work. I had an idea of what I wanted but looked and looked and couldn't find exactly how I wanted it done. I told Casey my idea, we talked a little then I scheduled an appointment and hoped he could design what I wanted. When I got there for my appointment, he found something close to what I wanted, sketched it and modified what I didn't like and made it exactly what I wanted. My appointment was later in the evening and he was behind but he stayed until 11PM to get me finished, and he didn't seem like he was rushing to get home, he took the time to make it perfect. It turned out great, I couldn't be happier, I will be back and will recommend him to all my friends. It takes a month to get an appointment with him for a reason, he does great work. If the artist you are going to gets you in next week, you should be worried. read more

Casey over at Punctured is probably one of the most professional, most dedicated tattoo artists I've met. He's humble, courteous, excited, and always willing to work with you. Casey did my tattoo in an amazing amount of time, considering all the lines, color and intricate details. His price is really reasonable. He charges based on the time he spends (he rightfully values his time!), not the size of the piece or the number of characters, like I've heard some other shops do. My favorite part is that he does what he does to be proud of his work, not to make the money. He takes pride in what he does. And I'd gladly pay whatever price he asks because I know he's going to give me something I can cherish. When my 11 year old daughter told me she wanted her ears pierced, I knew that we wanted it to be done by a professional with the needle method, never with a piercing gun. When it's your body or your child's body, why go to anyone but the experts in the field who have been properly trained, do it all the time, and use the best and safest methods? I asked around to find out which local businesses used the needle method for piercings. My friend recommended Punctured, and I am so glad she did! I researched a few different places before deciding where to go, and Punctured immediately stood out as the best one to me. It was mine and my daughter's first experience with piercings (I never had my own ears pierced before), and Sydney and Travis were very welcoming when we arrived. They were great in helping us to pick out the jewelry that my daughter wanted. The jewelry is gorgeous and the very best quality. The shop was very clean and professional. When it was time to go back for the piercings, Casey was so great with us. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. He answered all our questions. He talked to my daughter on her level, and talked to her like a friend would. She was nervous, anticipating the pain and not knowing what it would be like. He helped her to relax. He waited until she was ready, then he was quick and precise. The location of her holes are spot on perfect and even, and they look amazing! I really got a great vibe about the whole place, the staff, and had an amazingly positive experience there. The place is super clean, the staff is wonderful, and Casey is a highly skilled professional. I could tell that he really knows his stuff, I was also impressed with his level of cleanliness and making sure everything used was sterilized and safe. He really struck me as a very kind and genuine guy. I would without a doubt recommend Casey and/or his staff at Punctured. I have been telling all my friends. BEWARE! Bad business!!! Won't give you the art you want, they don't listen to instructions AND pressure you into a tatoo that's a poor basic art rendition of the tatoo you want even when given a picture to follow. We made an appt but when we arrived they made us wait 2 hours for a tatoo and then kicked us out with an INCOMPLETE tatoo when the next appointment arrived. They took a walk in instead and left us sitting there. They run a very poor business, completely incompetent and disorganized. They caused us major problems and heartache. Dear punctured, if you screw up your appt tines, you reschedule the next customer INSTEAD of booting the paying customer OUT of the chair. The artist also told me he would draw up my tatoo for me, and send it to me and make an appt to do it. I never heard from him AND texted him 4 separate times over the course of 3 weeks. He never responded. DO NOT GO HERE. Find a more established reputable business. read more

i'm not normally one to leave bad reviews but i had a pretty bad experience here. i was so looking forward to getting pierced here because the crew was all really kind and welcoming but i was totally unsatisfied with my piercing. i didn't like the way it looked right off the bat, but i convinced myself to keep it. the placement later actually began to make the piercing dig into my lip and go crooked because it was too high up (philtrum piercing). when i called the piercer to tell him my concerns he pretty much gaslit me, said he couldn't understand what i was telling him, and explained to me what a piercing is. i tried to call them again a few days later to have them help me remove it but they never called me back. i had to remove it myself. sorry for the bad review, but this experience made me sad. read more

Casey has done a great job with his shop. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the parlor/shop is kept immaculately clean. Casey has done my tattoos and has always done a great job. I have brought in my own art and he doesn't take it and tweak it unless I ask him to. When asked, he provides good feedback to make sure the tattoo comes out looking great. His lines are straight and clean, never had to get anything "fixed" after healing properly. read more

Just took my daughter to get her ears pierced and they were amazing. The girl at the front put Disney music on and helped pick jewelry. Casey who pierced my daughter spoke to her directly and not just to me, I love that. Kids should be heard and especially in this circumstance. I wanted to get my VCH, but was super nervous. I called and spoke with Casey, he answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. We made an appointment and then I waited. As I got closer to my appointment I got nervous and started to get anxious about how much it would hurt. This is definitely not my first piercing, but definitely my first down there. When I arrived he was willing down all the commonly touched surfaces with sanitizer (yay covid....). He wore his mask and asked that I do the same. Took my temperature. All the safety precautions. He took time to explain the jewelry options, answered all my questions. He explained the procedure, then we went back to the room for the anatomy check. I cannot stress this part enough: He was so professional and courteous about the anatomy check, the piercing, everything. I felt completely comfortable around him, he kept checking in to make sure I still felt comfortable. He went above and beyond what I expected in this department. Anyway. He was extremely patient with me in the process, I hate needles and pain, so I was procrastinating. And then he just say and chatted with me after while I was light-headed and such. I wish I could give higher than 5 stars. We spoke about other piercing and jewelry goals too, he's going to help me get some pieces I've wanted for forever. 12/10. Would recommend. Oh, and he's part of APP. Which gave me even more confidence in him. read more
