Hours stated online 11am - 7pm. We have been standing in front of the shop for 20 minutes, called the number, rang the first time then was obviously knocked off the hook hearing only a busy signal. We are standing out front as a blue haired woman is tattooing inside and won't answer. This is disappointing because this place was highly recommended. I have been to many tattoo shop for decades all over the world and this is unprofessional and misleading. The hours of operation are clearly posted online and we where trying to come schedule an appointment. This is thousands of dollar and a skilled trade I don't take lightly. We are going elsewhere that can maybe answer the door or phone or be open when the hours are posted. This shows the level of professionalism at first approach. No thanx

Until just recently I had been tattooed exclusively by 27's Amanda Powell. She is incredible and has really developed a style of her own her tattoos are bold and strong yet delicate and carry an effeminate undertone. She is also very versatile and has been up for every idea I have brought to the table. I love every single tattoo she has done for me and recommend her to anyone I talk to that is looking to get work done. However, 27 is a collective of some of SLC's very best artists. A few who I've had my eye of for future tattoos. 27 is owned by Vic Back and the vibe of the shop is very spa-like.. I've been to some douchey shops where people are being super vulgar and blasting the most aggressive music possible. This shop is 100% the opposite. Clean, comfortable, inviting and everyone here is always friendly and personable.

It was quick and easy to make an appointment on their website, and it didn't require a security deposit either. I arrived to get my conch piercing at 5:30 pm and I was out by 6 pm. I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

I had a sizing issue with a piece of jewelry I purchased, and honestly, I wasn't happy with it at first. I could have easily written a bad review, eaten the cost, and moved on, but instead I decided to reach out to the store first. Chelsea was incredibly helpful, listened to my concerns, and went above and beyond to help make the situation right. She completely changed my experience and left me a very happy customer. It's easy to leave a bad review when something doesn't go the way you expected, but sometimes the people behind the business deserve a chance to fix the problem first. So, a little note to all you keyboard warriors reach out before you write the review. Give the business a chance to make it right. In my case, that made all the difference. Thank you, Chelsea, for taking care of me and turning a frustrating situation into a really positive experience. I genuinely appreciate it!

They have a wide selection of jewelry to choose from. They are by appointment, which is fine, but I was able to secure one same day. It was easy to find street parking and find the studio itself. 5/5 stars for me, no complaints. I was there for probably no more than 15 minutes. I believe they have a system where they follow up with you and see how you're doing, which is neat.

Four of my piercings were done here and all of them were…read morewell-placed (earlobes and cartilage), and the piercer I went to was good about repiercing if you don't like the placement (my friend had this happen). Unfortunately, that piercer no longer works there and I didn't get pierced by anyone else so I can't comment about the other piercers. Overall pros and cons about this place in general compared to other places I have been to: PROS: Small shop, and each time I had an appointment, I felt like my piercer took their time to do my piercings just right. They are willing to autoclave and install pieces you bring in (sometimes). They seem quite clean, but I have been to places that I thought were even more meticulous (Koi). The atmosphere was very relaxed. Open on Sundays and same-day appointments are usually available. CONS: Expensive. I feel like their jewelry is way overpriced. They charge "per gem" and if we aren't talking about precious stones, that seems like a desperate way to make more money. Also they don't offer any discounts on multiple piercings in a single appointment and other places do (Koi). I don't like their selection of jewelry for new piercings. Their hoops for a new piercing were all dark titanium at the time I had one piercing done. If people can't swap jewelry for at least 6-12 months, it would be nice if they offered some different styles/colors of titanium hoops for new piercings. Small shop. This is a pro I listed above, but it's also a con because if they have more than one customer in the lobby at a time, they seem overwhelmed. The last time I went there to check on downsizing some 4-month piercings, the front desk person (who is usually very nice) was dealing with other clients and was dismissive to me and told me I didn't need to downsize and that my current jewelry looked fine. When I originally got pierced, my piercer used long pieces to accommodate swelling and told me we could downsize when the swelling stopped, but I ended up feeling treated like I was ridiculous for asking for that downsize. To be fair, I didn't make an appointment and I was aware I might have to wait or come back later, but I felt like the customer service in that moment was very poor. So make sure you make an appointment for any service and your experience will surely be better than that.

While…read morelooking through his portfolio, I saw a Seahawks piece and asked if he could do something similar for me. I showed him a reference photo and trusted him to recreate that style. What I ended up with looks nothing like the reference. The line work is rough, the proportions are off, and the overall design doesn't match what I asked for at all. The background in particular is completely different from the reference and not what I wanted. On top of that, I was originally quoted $100, but ended up being charged $155 -- and that extra cost was supposedly for the background, which doesn't even resemble the picture I provided. This is the first tattoo I've ever genuinely hated, and now I'm stuck having to look into fixing or covering it. I won't be going back. If you're considering getting work done here, I'd strongly recommend making sure you're completely confident in the artist and getting your price confirmed upfront.
