I had a really awful experience all around, but the results of the tattoo kind of speak for them self. In case this gets taken down too I'll be sure it's on yelp for others to find. It's a terribly done piece, I have both sleeves and multiple other tattoos now. I have spoken with so many different artists, and they all agree that the technique is less than great. Given it was a few years back and I was in love with his art, I'm unsure if it was personal, or the fact I brought company with me, but this isn't one of his best by a long shot. There was a large randomly placed and puzzle piece hand drawn on my leg and tattooed without my permission while I was laying down and unable to see what was going on, in which I have a witness who says the same thing, though Austin has said he doesn't remember hand drawing anything on my leg. You can see it was hand drawn just based on how uneven it is. I remember going home and crying for hours. I had a whole horror leg planned out and this experience completely ruined that for me. Our agreement was also that we would have the full tattoo done that day and I had prepared for a 6 hour session, which ended in three and a half hours only because I assume he felt like he had something better to go do. (His friends came to visit part way through for a "smoke break" and all came back smelling like weed, the person I brought with me was the one who mentioned the smell) Overall I wouldn't recommend this company seeing as there's so many other talented artists in Utah with a better track record. Please note the piece when first finished in the shop, vs how the tattoo looks a few years later.

It was quick and easy to make an appointment on their website, and it didn't require a security deposit either. I arrived to get my conch piercing at 5:30 pm and I was out by 6 pm. I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

He pointed out that my outer conch provided a unique surface area that would feature snake bites, a location I had not considered but ultimately loved.
