Beautiful studio - Everything was clean and organized. Sahia was lovely and incredibly professional. It took me a while to figure out what jewelry I wanted, but she reassured me that it was a-okay. We had to readjust the markings for my lobes a few times to make sure it was perfect/to my liking, and she continued to double check and make sure it's exactly where I wanted them. This was my first time getting pierced in over 14 years, so she walked me through the entire process, and continued to make sure I was calm and collected for the next piercing, one after the other. They were out of quite a few of the pieces I originally wanted, but we were able to find ones that were comparable. Really glad I did my research and came here! read more

My experience at Glimpse left me wanting to come back and get ALLLL the piercings. I found Glimpse just via Google, in search of a quality piercing studio that I wouldn't have to drive practically downtown to get to. For being so new, the studio had so many wonderful ratings and I booked an appointment immediately. It definitely helped that their booking system was intuitive and took close to no time to get the appointment booked. Upon walking into my appointment, I was greeted by Jess, who couldn't have been more friendly! I felt like I had known her forever; she was an absolute delight. She was super quick to help me get checked in and the whole jewelry picking process was efficient. TJ was the wizard behind the piercing and just as Jess was, he couldn't have been more welcoming! You can tell he's very knowledgeable about his art and he was incredibly informative throughout the whole process. The second lobe piercing I had done took no more than a couple minutes. The studio as a whole was so inviting and a breath of fresh air! The pricing is super affordable and does not suffer quality one bit. Im absolutely ASTOUNDED at the bait and switch with this place. My little girl goes in to get her ears pierced, they say they need to use a small titanium set of studs with cubic zirconium sets, they say that it's a $35 fee to pierce them (which I thought was weird, because piercing is normally free with the purchase of some beginner studs). Piercing is done, go to pay, just to find out that a tiny set of fake diamonds sitting on cheap titanium studs (with piercing costs) came out to TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!?!?! $250 and they're not even REAL???? My GOD! Gold piercing studs are $9.99, but somehow tiny titanium studs cost $215!?! Stay away from this place by ALL means. The fact that they didn't let us know the cost prior to the piercing is the WORST customer service you can get. When we were presented with the bill, I said that I will just get the $9 studs and return these ridiculously priced studs... "oh, sorry, all sales are final, absolutely no returns!" This place is terrible. Hope they get boycotted by the community. Taking my little girl for her piercings should've been a fun and celebratory event... they even ruined THAT. Congratulations... I love coming here. A couple years ago, an apprentice that no longer works here pierced my high nostrils with too large of a gauge. Ashley (former employee) made sure to change my jewelry free of charge and was very apologetic about the matter. She was a gem. Fast forward to a few weeks ago: I made an appointment with my partner to get some of our jewelry downsized. Rashelle was amazing, quick, gentle and so kind. They got me to "agree" to an "alternative" to actual gold, and that alternative cost 500x what standard Gold would've been, because she said "we don't sell the gold earrings, these other materials are "all we have". They don't even have silver (according to this up-seller). Ended up paying almost $300 for a simple stud piercing that realistically should've cost me $25 MAX. ****I am reporting them to the BBB, this is straight up FRAUD**** Look elsewhere, no honest people here, sadly, as we love to support local business. read more

IF YOU ONLY READ ONE REVIEW... READ THIS ONE! My hair was soaked with BLOOD! CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! Under-trained employee left me BLEEDING BADLY and with wonky piercings! I asked for his boss to come look. And the piercings were bad enough that the supervisor removed two of them. She agreed that they were incorrectly placed and pulled them out. After listening to their discussion regarding my ear AND taking into consideration the vast amount of blood that had soaked my hair and ran down my neck... I had lost all confidence in this piercing studio and it's employees and opted to not move forward with any more piercings. Please note: the woman who was in charge stated directly to me, "we will only charge you for what you received"... their words not mine. However, the fee scale and how they charge is questionable - at best. The piercings were removed from my ear because of their error. Additionally, I was led to believe that I wouldn't be charged full price because of the piercer's mistakes. I anticipated a reduced fee because of the painful & bloody error (my hair was soaked in blood. By the time I got home- the blood had dried in clumps)...{error}on the part of the piercer who was not adequately trained or prepared to do what he was doing Sadly, the reality is -- the piercings were removed due to lack of training on the part of the piercer. The company does not disclose that you are being pierced by an apprentice or someone with less than a year piercing, and you are charged as if you are getting a seasoned piercer. I truly believe he did not have the knowledge or know-how to properly place the piercings, nor did he have enough experience on his own to complete the piercings. I was told I would not have to pay for anything that I didn't receive. But, I did pay for something I did not receive... I paid for services that I believed were being performed by an experienced piercer, not by an apprentice. Had I wanted an apprentice, I would have gone down the street to their competitor that discloses that you are getting an apprentice piercer. Additionally, their competitors' charge the customer much less when being pierced by an apprentice ($15 piercing fee- opposed to Glimpse's $35 piercing fee for an undisclosed apprentice). Furthermore, I feel that they are not forthright with their pricing schedule. I trusted that a professional piercing boutique would provide a capable piercer, not put me in less than capable hands. I also trusted that they would be forthcoming regarding product pricing. Most of us would agree a properly done piercing requires jewelry... many of us would assume that said jewelry would be packaged in pricing... not have a jewelry fee, a post fee, a pin fee, a curating fee, and the piercing fee. I am feeling duped, frustrated, AND OVER CHARGED! $444+ dollars for my earlobes to be pierced twice and one additional piercing on my helix. They do not charge you until the service is complete. So, I had no way of knowing that they had multiple fees for one earring! Including an additional $20 "curating" fee to hand me the earring tray to choose from that is in a locked case. Note: They were re-piercing closed piercings and adding one forward helix per my request. They didn't "design" anything. All in all- I suffered pain, bled all over in my hair & down my neck, and I did not end up with my forward helix or my second helix piercings... but I did end up with a $444+ bill at the conclusion of the experience. The price absolutely did not justify the service. Update-- I was contacted by a customer service rep today (not an owner) and I was offer a $20 dollar refund!!! Maybe Glimpse Boutique doesn't understand what a person expects to receive from a boutique... most of us expect BOUTIQUE service! I believe this company is deceiving their patrons by omitting pertinent information. Overall this may be the worst retail experience I have ever had! read more

Cannot say enough about this shop!!! On a whim I woke up and wanted a 20+ year old naval piercing re-opened as it wasn't closed up completely. Called a few other slc shops and got the run around. I called glimpse and spoke to Ash, who reassured me I could walk in and they could easily fix it for me. Walked in 35 minutes later to a beautiful, clean and bright office. Ash greeted me and took me into the studio and re opened the old piercing in minutes with NO pain at all. I LOVE it and will recommend this shop to everyone! Thank you. piercer is amazing Christian periodddd. I got my nostril pierced to match my other one, it wasn't even so I ended up coming back and we got it done. It looks great and the piercer was very nice and patient with me being a perfectionist lol XD. good music, good vibes, good jewelry. One of the balls on my jewelry fell off sometime while I was at work and I wear a mask the whole time so it wasn't even knocked or anything. I tried to reach out to them via email and they didn't even respond and it's been a week. I wasn't impressed and would recommend Abyss over Glimpse all day. I am so stoked about this peircing shop. I live near the area and drove past it a few times before I figured out what it was. There is a nail salon in the same strip and I thought it was apart of that business. Then I used my eyes and read the sign (imagine that!). How in the world did I not realize this was a peircing studio. I immediately checked them out on line. Reasonable hours and prices. I decided to go snag some gift cards for my kiddos for Easter. I'm a procrastinator and never got around to checking about gift certificates. I called the shop to see if they were open because it was Easter. The nice girl who answered the phone told me they were open! I drove straight over to get the cards and told the girl I had just called and was surprised they were open. She said--well, I think our customer base probably doesn't have a high likelihood of celebrating Easter. I laughed and told her she was probably right. High quality jewelry, fair pricing. They don't have a lot of wacky stuff. They offer classic designs great for your first peircing or your 10th. The peircing rooms are decorated by each piercer, so they reflect the style of the employee and are very unique and fun. Comfortable atmosphere. Peircers are friendly, educated and help you make sure you're going to love your new peircing forever. Great after care instructions to make sure there are no complications. Went to get my second hole pierced on my ears and this place was great!!! I especially loved it because I called a few piercing places like Iris in sugarhouse to see if I could bring 2 friends and they said no. But glimpse said bring however many people you want! I loved that because I was super nervous (even being a 30 year older adult haha) and I needed my peeps. Their boutique was super clean and nice and fresh looking! What a great studio! I got my nose pierced (something I wanted to do since I as a teen!) and Glimpse was the perfect place. Everyone was so fantastic and nice. I chose this shop because of same day availability and I got a nose stud. My piercing is a little crooked and in a weird angle. this was my second time going to glimpse, and everything was perfect! i unfortunately couldn't leave a second glowing google review so i came to yelp :) i got my nipples pierced and it was such a calm experience. i waited just a few minutes for everything to be ready, which was perfect because i was trying to calm my nerves lol, but jessica was super kind and made sure i knew everything about proper aftercare before i was even pierced. i was worried about taking my shirt off in front of someone i barely know, but i wasn't anxious at all after taking it off; i did not feel judged by tyler whatsoever and it felt just like any other piercing when he was marking me and piercing me. the process was quick and barely painful!! thank you guys for letting me bring someone into the room with me so i could hold her hand, it really made me much more comfortable. i'll definitely be back!! read more
