She recommends to come in not in your best attire because your clothes will smell of seafood and drippings of butter and what seasoning you choose. My goodness! I love this "eating messy" restaurant! The choices are grand including seasonings of your choice. My daughter and I opted for garlic and butter (who doesn't love butter)! They provide plastic bib, and gloves, of course. We picked what was on the menu: daughter had Dungeness crab, I chose clams and snow crab. It comes with corn cob, 2 whole potatoes (plenty to eat). Here comes the server; puffed up plastic bag, she shakes it to mix those buttery goodness etc and she opens the bag - viola your seafood looks deliciously amazing. I dug in (oops don't forget to take your watch off) ....absolutely delicious and the seafood was really fresh! I grew up in "seafood" country and freshness is a "thumbs up for this place. Yep, it was buttery messy for me but I was a gluttony messy eater! Denver-ans if you love seafood check this place even though it's "messy, dribbling" it's delicious. Like any seafood, you are expected to have a "pocketful of greens." Good quality seafood does that if you eat out. I will return before I leave and head back to Idaho if I have time - more restaurants to visit! Don't order the calamari appetizer. The server was sweet and took it out of our bill (I mentioned it was not what I expected-chewy and just ordinary and heavily crumbed).

We ordered: "Popcorn Chicken" 3/5 NOT a huge fan of popcorn chicken at all as I always find it dry and wasnt my choice of order but I was suprised! Its a lot more moist and fresh than I thought and the sauce that came with it really complimented the dish! HUGE PORTION TOO!!! Will definetely order next time as well! "Lemongrass Beef Sizzling Ribs" 5/5 This was my most favorite dish, it came in pipping hot and sizzling on a hot skillet! Our server did table service and mixed it for us nicely to enjoy, kind if reminds me of Gyukakus beef rib rice dish as well! The meat is nice and tender, marinated and grilled to perfection. The fried rice mixed with the cheese and onions were perfect combinated with the meat. Its insanely delicious and if you havent ordered it, youre respectfully insane. "Tonkatsu" 4.5/5 There are so many options to their hotpots but we decided to stay basic, we will definetely try the other broths next time! The broth was insanely delicious! We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

We ordered their shrimp and crawfish fondeaux and garlic bread for the table, which was incredible, possibly the best garlic bread and fondeaux I've ever had! Their Caesar salad was good, but what really stood out was the blackened catfish. I love catfish, and this catfish was perfectly grilled and seasoned. The rice and beans on the side were great as well, the beans being slightly smokey and spicy. I really, really cannot recommend this place enough! FOOD Overall good food, if a little odd. The baked gnocchi and cherry tomatoes in a pesto sauce turned out to be a lot soupier than I expected. My son's pork was well-received. The house-specialty flatbread we had for the table was good. Desserts are served in, effectively, shot glasses. I don't know that it means the portions were any smaller than on a plate, and it made it convenient for the waiter to bring out a display carrier, but it was still a bit odd. One thing that struck me was that everything -- from the flatbread, to the Caesar salad, to the gnocchi, to the dessert, was just a bit sweeter than I was expecting. Not offputtingly so, but a little surprising. SERVICE Service was reasonably good, and our waiter generally showed up when we needed them. I had a dirty knife (promptly replaced with a full utensil kit). ATMOSPHERE The place is just plain noisy. At a booth for four, we had problems with conversation, and in hearing the waiter. Part of this is because they have about a half-dozen too many tables squeezed into the main dining area, among other things guaranteeing you'll brush or bump into chairs on your way to your table, even on the perimeter. One the one hand, it's a good sign that they're doing good business in pulling in a lot of customers; on the other hand, it contributes to making it not a good place for an intimate date.
