Shrimp Tempura Roll (Roll 6 pcs.)

When you come in there are papers on a table with pencils, so that you can mark what you want in your poke bowl or mark what dish you would like to order in general. Service takes awhile, but at least that guarantees the food is made to order. When I got a glimpse of the seafood options I could tell it was fresh, which was nice. However, I wish imitation crab counted as a side and not a protein. Interior is a typical dining area, with decent seating and simple decoration!

Greetings to all, this review is on combination Poke bowl: Parking in the area is joint with other surrounding businesses: B Inside the restaurant itself was an ok amount of ambient lighting: B The service: It was very simplified, fill out the form and submit it to the counter person and wait for the order to arrive. : B The Food : The combination bowl that I ordered was ok , but I didn't think that the portion Size was equal to the price of 22.47 , so this is my Reasoning for a Solid 3 stars with the restaurant itself to make some changes for a better Prophet margin.

My usual is the poke bowl with spicy tuna, salmon, and shrimp. The food always tastes fresh, the house sauce is so flavorful, and the service is fast! I love coming here

Not much to say about Poke One; it's a no frills "make your own poke bowl" style restaurant. Once you enter, you can tell the staff what you want, or write/select your ingredients from their menu cards, and the staff will build your bowl in front of you. I wouldn't say it's necessarily cheap but you can usually end up with a fairly hefty bowl for about $15-20, and they don't skimp on the poke, which is nice. I personally like takeout here, though there's a decent amount of space to sit and eat. While I enjoyed my poke bowl, I think I'd return to try their pre-made beef bowl next, since it seems like good value.

I ordered the takoyaki and one was inedible and hard. I brought it back in asking to get the single one takoyaki remade. I was made an entirely new order of takoyaki. I was surprised and thankful for the staff member to fix the mistake so generously.

Help! Y'all missed my scoop of tuna. No big deal, and the rest of it was good, but didn't notice till I got all the way home.

Food was good, service was fast and nice, but missed one of my protein scoops. Would recommend, just make sure you check your bowl before you leave. Some of the other food on the menu looked good too. The curry on a cold night sounds good

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place! My husband and I live really close and shop at the Lucky's. We were feeling sushi one night but didn't want to pay sushi prices so we decided to get poke. It was the right choice! The salmon is really great here! And the tuna and hamachi are good too. I also love that they have pickled radish as a topping! And the sauces are so good. My husband also got some of the sushi rolls which were pretty yummy. This is definitely our new go-to poke spot!

The spicy tuna burrito was really good. I would get this over a poke bowl because it was more filling. Could use some sauce on the burrito though. It is wrapped in seaweed. Very good for $17.

    Diana T.

Not bad for the price and the portion you get! We would come here when we crave sushi but don't want to pay sushi prices. Poke One is the answer! You mark your items on a piece of paper and it gets handed over to be made. Their toppings and add ons are good. Fish is fresh but I'm feel like I'm always greedy and want more than they give. They also have more than just poke bowls!

    Curry Chicken Katsu So delicious!

This place is delicious! Stopped in to have lunch. First time there, found it on Yelp. I had curry chicken over rice. Basically a fried chicken breast topped with some pretty tasty curry gravy. Service was ok. Everyone was nice and said bye when I left. The chicken breast was tender, juicy and freshly made. Lots of flavor. Location is good too with plenty of parking. I can't wait to go back and try one of the bowls.

Came here today on president's day holiday. Normally you would order on a piece of paper but I guess they ran out? I got 2 (3 scoop of protein) poke bowl and a beef don. For my poke bowl I got half brown rice and half salad along with my choices of protein: salmon, tuna, and crab salad. It baffled me that crab salad is even considered a protein.... it's usually considered as a topping. The toppings and sides selection is ok. Not as good as poke bowl in colma or icey poke in san jose. The guy who helped me out made my bowl way too saucy. 1 of the poke bowls had just steamed rice while the other had half salad half brown rice. I may have heard wrong but the guy who helped me out today muttered under his breath "ma fan". Which means a hassle in cantonese. Threw me off but the store should've been prepared with those papers to order or just say nothing at all.

Both rolls containing imitation crab were discarded. The imitation crab salad was spoiled and had a strong ammonia-like taste.

I purchased four rolls shortly before closing last night. Two of the rolls that contained imitation crab were clearly spoiled, tasted liked ammonia, and I had to throw them away. I called the restaurant, left a voicemail explaining the issue, and provided my phone number, but I have not received a return call. I am a professional chef and hold a current ServSafe Manager certification. Based on my experience and training, I am confident the imitation crab salad was spoiled. This is a serious food safety concern and should be addressed immediately.

I think I might have found my new go-to poke spot! I ordered a 3 scoop protein bowl with salmon, tako (octopus), and crab salad. The portion was generous and filling. I went with spicy mayo and miso sauce -- both were flavorful and paired really well with the proteins. I also added kimchi and avocado (an extra $1.50 each), which added a nice kick and texture. It wasn't too busy when I went, so service was quick and efficient. There's a decent amount of seating, and I wouldn't mind dining in next time. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and portion size. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. If you're craving poke and in the area, Poke One is worth checking out!

Very tiny spot and not much seating, so you're either taking it to go or you're praying there's a chair and a counter that's free. No big deal since I've been to other Japanese curry places like this. I've had a mix bag where the katsu was deliciously crispy and moist on the inside and days where the meat inside is dry, even drenched in curry. Hot curry sauce is Japanese hot, so it has spices in it but not spicy at all. The workers do their best for the lunch rush, so that's a plus at least. I've had Japanese curry in Japan as well as around the SF bay area and I would say the japanese curry here is average at best. The texture is a little lumpy to be honest and there isn't a tremendous amount of curry flavor. Today, we ordered a couple of items off the special menu - Kaki Curry (oysters) and Shiso Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti. The Kaki Curry came with six fried oysters, some rice, potato salad, and a dab of sauce for the fried oysters. The fried oysters were fresh and crunchy. Overall, it was satisfying but nothing spectacular. The Shiso Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti is a cream sauce based pasta dish with roe, shiso leaves, and nori seaweed. It's an interesting twist to your popular spaghetti dish so the flavor profiles were interesting. The dish was creamy and the nori and roe brought some unami flavor. Between the two dishes, I enjoyed this one slightly more even those this place is a "curry" spot. Dish comes with a japanese cabbage salad and miso soup which tasted pretty standard.

I had my eye on the sandos, specifically the Chicken Katsu Sando, but landed on the Spicy Tuna Don instead. Good call. Spicy yellowfin tuna tartare over well-seasoned sushi rice, topped with sesame, furikake, green onions, with a little radish and cucumber on the side. The tuna was very fresh, the rice was on point. Service was quick and polite - they even have an outside window for takeout. One nice detail: a neat dollop of wasabi is pasted along the inside wall of the bowl, which is a clean way of letting you control exactly how much heat you want to mix in. Tasteful presentation, but don't let that fool you. It has a legitimate kick, so calibrate accordingly. Paired it with their Honjozo dry sake cup, which was a nice complement to the meal and exactly the right call for a mid-afternoon bite. The sandos looked great on other tables and I fully intend to go back for the Chicken Katsu Sando - and then go try the wine bar next door to it. which was pretty tempting.
