Ahi tuna custom bowl and matcha milk tea
Melissa R.

Really like this place, I love being able to build my own poke bowl and the sauces are delicious! (Chili garlic oil and sweet teriyaki are my fave) their service is quick and the ambience is chill. I always get the ahi tuna with half of tofu or chicken on a bed of mixed greens and a scoop of brown rice (props to healthier quick options!) Great toppings and mix ins like different seaweed salads, mango, garlic and onion chips plus more! Service is always quick when I visit during lunch time.

I ordered the Burrito - pick 2 proteins. I chose salmon and tuna. They have tofu as an option too. And shrimp. I got it with mixed greens. No rice. Cilantro, green onion, garlic chips, shredded nori, sesame seeds, pickled daikon, jalapeños, hijiki seaweed, ogo seaweed, seaweed salad, wasabi aioli sauce, and togarashi. It was $14. Everything was fresh. It's all prepared in front of you. Service was quick and friendly. It looks like a brightly lit buffet inside. This place used to be Hoboken Nail Spa. Would I get the burrito again? No. It was good, but not for $14. It's on the smaller side. It didn't have much salmon or tuna. If there was more salmon and tuna, $14 would be worth it. What I got was worth $10. Mostly the mixed greens is what I got. I would try a bowl next time instead. Hopefully it's more of the protein.

Came across this spot casually walking down Washington Ave. There was a sign outside displaying half off poke bowls so obviously I was intrigued. As I went inside it had a very hip, Hawaiian decor and noticed that you could either build your own bowl or order a signature one. This place must be new because it wasn't quite busy yet, but the person working had a very friendly demeanor. He recommended the Hawaiian signature bowl so I went with that one. Very fresh ahi tuna, paired with sweet onions and my choice of rice (white), it made for an amazing bowl. You have your choice of sauces from soy, hot chili or sesame. There's many Hawaiian soft drinks but this time around I had a water. Plenty of seating both inside and out. This place was a hit.

I just received my order from this location. The manager on duty basically told me I'm a liar when I told her there's no sauce. She actually said to come in a check the cameras. Look a the picture. No sauce. If she added sauce then it must've been a teaspoon because mine was supposed have 3 types and my wife had 2. (FYI mine had spicy mayo but there was none). Not going here again. Bad attitude. Uneducated manager. She actually told me to come in to check the cameras...

I ordered online for pickup through DoorDash and it was ready in 10 mins. I am very pleased with the speed. There are tons of topping options to choose from. However, the portion of the proteins are on the smaller side.

Lina is so awesome! She helped us out with great portion and delicious food. Service and ambience are so great! Food tastes beyond delicious.

got this pokebowl to go and it was stuffed!! the worker was super generous with topping portions and sauces. there were some extra sesame/chili oil at the register you could grab for free in case you wanted that extra flavor. the experience was really nice and easy. my only complaint is that the restaurant smelled a little weird. but its totally worth it since i ordered it to go. this bowl came out to about $17!

I've been wanting a good affordable poke place in the area and this place is great! Servers are very friendly. Place is small but clean. Portions are huge and tasty!

two bowls of food on a table

Amazing service and workers are kind. They have free boba promotion for back to school students. They have a lot of seating. Cute backgrounds for pics. They have good options like other poki places. It's three blocks from the pier which is nice for a picnic. The portions are good.

Built my own bowl - delicious. Employee was very nice, and assembled it quickly. Just wish there would've been more protein in the scoop.

We sat at the bar, which was actually kind of fun because we could watch them prepare all the food right in front of us. Everything we had was really good and full of flavor. It was definitely something different than your typical taco place. The drinks were very good too and about average strength. Prices were pretty much what you would expect for Chelsea Market and NYC, so no real surprises there. One of the best parts of our visit was the service. Everyone was super friendly and attentive and really made it a great experience. The food came out fresh and everything we tried was really tasty. Overall, this was a really cool find. Great food, good drinks, a fun atmosphere and top-notch service. If you're walking through Chelsea Market and want to try something a little different, I definitely recommend stopping at Takumi Taco. We would absolutely eat here again!

The people who work here are complete and total JERKS!!…read moreHorrendous service. DO NOT EAT HERE!! We came here at 815pm and he told us the kitchen was closing at 845pm - ok no worries. So we ordered right away when we sat down. We told them in advance someone in our party couldn't have any aioli or crema cause they were allergic. It didn't seem to matter, they brought out over half the dishes with aioli/crema so we had to send them back. When we sent them back the short guy at the cash register gave me a death glare and was shaking his head and staring at me in disdain - as if I was the one who prepared it improperly... This same guy when we ordered was super rude with any dish/taco we inquired about. Then at 850pm, he started shooing everyone out when almost everyone (the bar area was 3/4 full) was still eating and/or drinking and told them they had to leave immediately... some people had just gotten their food and were stunned that he was so adamant about everyone leaving so abruptly, claiming "security was going to lock them into the restaurant" if people weren't out in 2min- it clearly states that they don't close until 9pm... this unpalatable individual was shorter than everyone else with a beard and hat if management wants to reprimand him for having 0 customer service/hospitality (he was also a cashier - the guy who took our order wasn't as bad, but his coworker was so rude it overshadowed everything). The tacos were awful (made the mistake of not going to Los Tacos instead...), and I'm irritated I tipped over 20% to be treated like shit. DO NOT GO HERE!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I built my own sushi burrito!…read more Pokeworks has a very accessible app that allows us to order for pickup/delivery. When I was 15 minutes from the location, I placed my order of the sushi burrito, which I added my own toppings, and a side of poke bomb (stuffed inari). I must say that the quality of the sushi here has always been really consistent and the service has been relatively fast. I like how the mango was always sweet, despite it not being in season. I added masago to my order at a 50 cents up charge and it provided a different(tastier) texture and taste. Everything was ready for me within 15 minutes. The ambiance was nice with multiple seating areas.

Service: You can order a pre-set bowl or make your own to your liking. The person waited patiently until I was ready to order without any pressure. He also made sure to give me a recommendation for my bowl for the sauce as I was unsure which one to take between Hawaiian and Siracha. Food: Well if you take the ratio of price to portio, I would say its pretty expensive for a small bowl. I would give it a TINY size And after I finished eating I felt like I was not full yet. The ingredients were fresh, but the cut size are not consistent for example the salmon pieces were little bit too big, and pineapple slices were too small, while the avocado was just a scope which made it annoying to cut through.

My go to is the Miso Ramen (the braised pork is delicious and tender). Their specialty sushi's all have one price and are very reasonable. The fish is fresh and tasty. (Overall: D) - Overall, I felt like there were a number of technical misses by the wide array of…read morefood I sampled so it is quite hard to give many positive remarks. The food is decently priced and reasonable given the promotions on Uber Eats and tastes fine, but the enumerated flaws are quite cumbersome and difficult to overlook. (Sushi Burrito: F) - Unfortunately, this burrito fell through not only in standards but physically through the wrapping as it was not properly sealed in the first place. While I think the flavors and contents are reasonable, the unwrapped burrito felt like just trying to eat a poke bowl in your hands which does not work. I would not recommend offering a sushi burrito if it cannot be properly wrapped as one. (Spicy Crab Salad: F) - I would not call this a salad but more so sesame seeds, masago dumped on top of some imitation crab. While others have certainly made this work in the past, this dish was just incomplete as its missing both a base (salad, rice, or both works) and some interesting textural contrasts normally found in a salad such as tempura flakes and cucumber. They have all the items to make a better version of this, but the execution whoever designed this menu just either didn't think this through or didn't taste it. (Chicken Potstickers: D) - I was pleasantly surprised by that sweet yuzu ginger dipping sauce that was quite pleasant. I think that sauce works well as a topping, but perhaps as a flavor booster for a salad or poke bowl rather than these dumplings as they are already light to begin with and definitely needs something like a ponzu or wasabi soy to drive the flavor. (Black Tonkotsu Ramen: D) - The main part, the broth of this Tonkotsu actually has some nice pork development that gives the soup a powerful richness. There are some specifics that could be improved such as the color of that pork as it just looks underdeveloped in color, and in turn, flavor. However, the biggest issue is the poor packaging of this , where the broth does not stay in its container, making this quite messy for takeout. I feel that the containers need to be better and perhaps wrapping them in a plastic bag for extra security would be helpful. -- Food: -1 Presentation: -1 Price: E Overall: -2 D Insta/Beli: @amei_eats
