This poke is better than the fancy restaurant sushi I spent $60 on last night. Folks are chill. Great stop in place

Great poke style restaurant in the region. However the place is kind of overpriced. Ambiance: Located next to an AMC this place would be great spot to eat at before or after watching a movie. It has multiple seating and lightning. Service: You can order a pre-set bowl or make your own to your liking. The person waited patiently until I was ready to order without any pressure. He also made sure to give me a recommendation for my bowl for the sauce as I was unsure which one to take between Hawaiian and Siracha. Food: Well if you take the ratio of price to portio, I would say its pretty expensive for a small bowl. I would give it a TINY size And after I finished eating I felt like I was not full yet. The ingredients were fresh, but the cut size are not consistent for example the salmon pieces were little bit too big, and pineapple slices were too small, while the avocado was just a scope which made it annoying to cut through. read more

My cousin wanted to try a sushi burrito, so we found Pokeworks nearby. I loved the variety of options: bowls, burritos, and plates. Building our own was a cool experience. While the staff did an amazing job preparing everything, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. The rice was mushy, the seaweed didn't taste very fresh, and the burrito was dry, which masked the flavor of the proteins. We also tried the pre-made lobster bomb from the fridge, but it was soggy; I'd recommend asking for a fresh one if possible. The highlight of the meal for me was definitely the strawberry fresh milk drink! read more

I built my own sushi burrito! Pokeworks has a very accessible app that allows us to order for pickup/delivery. When I was 15 minutes from the location, I placed my order of the sushi burrito, which I added my own toppings, and a side of poke bomb (stuffed inari). I must say that the quality of the sushi here has always been really consistent and the service has been relatively fast. I like how the mango was always sweet, despite it not being in season. I added masago to my order at a 50 cents up charge and it provided a different(tastier) texture and taste. Everything was ready for me within 15 minutes. The ambiance was nice with multiple seating areas. read more

I came here for dinner before getting on the Amtrak. It was thankfully not too busy so I could place my order in-person. The bowls are great. I definitely recommend the normal size than the small. I recommend getting spicy salmon. There is not a bathroom here. read more

Located on 34th St alongside the AMC theater and it has a modern yet simple decor. Pokeworks is constantly filled with customers and delivery personnels. The staff are friendly and efficient, especially the manager. Although sometimes they can miss putting sauces in the order, but they will make it up to you if that happens. I always go for their Poke Your Way 2 proteins option, it's the perfect amount of food for me. Love their salmons and topping options, you can really load it up. read more

Pokeworks - DIY 2 proteins poke bowl - Poke Near Me - New York, New York

Pokeworks is a fast-casual poke restaurant chain that follows a build-your-own model. Your could either order one of their signature bowls, salads, or poke burritos, or customize your own. This location is in my regular lunch rotation when I'm in the mood for something healthy and clean that's not a salad. The service is quick and the fish is quite fresh, with an abundance of mix-ins and toppings and a choice of tasty homemade sauces. Chicken and tofu are also available in addition to tuna, salmon, shrimp, and lobster surimi. I usually get a custom poke bowl with 2 proteins (spicy salmon & ahi tuna) + brown rice, loaded up with veggies and flavorful toppings, and the portions are filling and satisfying. Unless you can tolerate a high level of spice, don't go adding both the Serrano peppers and the red Thai chili...oof! I'm always leveling up the kick and don't do "American spicy" but maaan that is gut-burning fire lol! Love that they take their peppers seriously. I've also tried a boba drink which wasn't for me - the flavor is weak and tastes like a blended powder drink, not a boba tea. They also sell spam musubi, which I'm curious to try. read more

Picked up a customizable bowl a few weeks ago. Ordered: double portion of Ahi tuna poke w/ brown rice + cucumber + edamame + serrano peppers + shredded nori + sriracha aioli + seaweed salad + green onion + chili crisp + spicy furikake + 2 orders of miso soup. Reallly good miso soup -- wasn't expecting that! Amazing poke bowl as well. Pleeeenty of proteins and toppings to choose from. LOVED my poke bowl. Ahi tuna was meaty and tasted fresh, as did all of the produce. It was easily 2 meals; the other half hit the next day for lunch. read more

The service was quick and friendly. I did not think there was enough tables and chairs for people to sit at to eat.

Mario and Rose are awesome! They gave us an extra order someone didn't want. Reasonable prices. Great preparation.

This was very good but cost around $20 for the create your own bowl with 2 proteins. Everything was very fresh!!! I was also pretty full, there are so many different toppings to pick from. I usually get salmon for my protein and the spicy sauce. I ordered for pickup. Staff was very friendly and the place was pretty clean/spacious as well. read more

Chain restaurant but delicious for some good poke. They have pre-set bowls that are really good. Had the tuna one with various toppings and my friend got the salmon. Good combination of flavors and good size. Really enjoyed. -Chain Restaurant -No one was there - Quick Service - Able to choose bowl but did a standard - Good amount of food (filling): can get a double order - Clean establishment - Overall nice quick service - Good flavoring, lots of options - around $20ish read more

Whoever prepped my to go order must've not even looked at the receipt. Wrong base, wrong protein, incorrect additions. The receipt stapled to the bag had the correct order so I'm not sure what they were looking at. Disappointing read more

I'm always a fan of pokeworks! It's a great reliable chain that always delivers solid poke bowls. I got delivery for lunch today through Seamless. It came way faster than expected, which is always a plus! I did a build your own bowl with a brown rice base and spicy tuna/spicy salmon for the proteins. I love all the different topping options! The flavors were great and the regular size always fills me up and keeps me feeling satisfied throughout the day. My only complaint is that I think there could have been more sriracha aioli and some of the pieces of fish were too large. I prefer bite sized pieces in a poke bowl. Other than that it was really great! I definitely recommend adding the avocado. It adds great creaminess to the bowl and is worth the upcharge read more

The spicy tuna was very good and I had the extra protein (more tuna) and I couldn't finish the whole bowl. I'll try the regular amount next time. The service is a bit slow, but maybe the crew is new. It's a quick lunch spot with limited seating, but clean! read more

My friend and I came here to give this place a try because we came out to New York for the auto show. Staff: The staff member looked and sounded very friendly and was very polite. #4 Yuzu Ponzu Salmon: This was a little disappointing because the lady gave my friend about 5-6 pieces of salmon and the kale noodles was not a good portion neither. Poke Your Way: I got a salad base with salmon and the tuna. The tuna tasted a bit odd to me and she did not give me a lot of salmon neither. The wontons had a crunch to it, the pineapples barely had any taste. The edamame and seaweed salad were on point. Overall: The price is extremely high for two poke bowls and two sodas. I do not know how we ended up paying $40-$50 for this meal that did not even fill us up and was not given a good portion to get our money's worth. read more

Mario did a really good job. Was really nice and helpful!! Recommend !!! 10/10 would recommend

I tried Pokeworks the other day for dinner via delivery and it was pretty good. I ordered the Hawaiian Ahi bowl size large with half kale noodles half salad. Food tasted good and fresh, but the portion was kinda small IMO for a large. It was my first time trying kale noodles and would definitely get it again as part of my base. I actually think the kale noodles would be the main reason for giving this place another go (on top of the fish tasting fresh and all else good). read more

I ended up at this place because it was across the street from my hotel. I was trying to have all the New York food and all the New York experiences and no one says poke when they think of New York foods. Nevertheless I needed food it was too cold to walk any further so I stopped here. My goodness I lucked out. I ordered a Poké bowl created my own. The flavors matched well, the serving size was good, and the price was reasonable. read more

Phenomenal food and customer service! I would highly recommend! The environment is clean as well.

I live right next to Pokeworks and am SO EXCITED it has finally opened !! I tried it out as soon as I could and was so delighted. The staff were all super friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. While I opted for non-seafood options, the poke was some of the best I've had. This will definitely become a frequent post work dinner for me! Pictured is my dish, the sesame chicken bowl. The rice was very well cooked and the chicken was tender and flavourful. I love how Pokeworks has specialty bowls you can choose but you can customise it along the way. Some of my favorite toppings were the green onion, tortilla strips, avocado, and cucumber. The sesame sauce was also light but flavourful. My father also came with me and chose the shoyu ponzu tofu bowl. I had a bite and it was also exceptional. He added more toppings such as the kimchi, seaweed salad, crab, and ginger which added extra flavor. For all the seafood lovers, the sashimi looked fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend checking Pokeworks out !! read more

This location opened recently and I came on their grand opening day. On their website, it said they were open until 6 on Saturday, but I called the store to confirm and the person on the line was so warm and kind and told me they closed at 8. Once I arrived, they asked if I've been before and since I hadn't been in a while, they told me how the process works. You can choose from the signature choices they pick for you or you can make your own custom bowl. I chose both and they really guide you through each section and even with the signature bowl, they ask if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences. It did take a little longer to get my food, but the place was very busy and people were probably new and nervous. Everyone was extremely accomodating and helpful though. The only problem I had is I didn't enjoy the flavors of my bowl. I think there are other poke shops that have better sauce flavors and options for customization. It's such a personal preference, but I definitely recommend if you're in the area and checking this place out! read more

I used to visit the one near Herald square, I love poke bowl in general and this is a very good place for a quick and yummy poke bowl. One advice, it would taste much better to use SUSHI RICE for the white rice base, you used to use sushi rice but probably stopped because of cost cutting. I hope you can bring it back to make it authentic and tasteful read more

Pokeworks - #2 Spicy Ahi - Signature Bowl - Poke Near Me - New York, New York

Got introduced to Poke while living in Hawaii, this place reminds me a lot of that. Ordered the ahi poke with their umami shoyu sauce and wasn't disappointed. was looking for a quick lunch between meetings during a particularly busy work day, when i was surprised to see a new poke place had opened nearby. it happened to be a soft opening for friends and family, which i didn't realize when i walked in, but the staff and manager were so welcoming and gracious all the same. the place was very clean and bright. the staff was very patient and helpful as i asked questions about the menu. although i was informed they were still in training mode, i didn't notice any problems with the service. the fish was fresh and topping choices plentiful. i like that they have a kale noodle option. the store is a good size but i don't recall seeing many seating options, which is fine by me as i would normally be taking my meal to go. as life slowly transitions back to working in person, this place will definitely be a go-to for week day lunches. read more

This location of Pokeworks just recently opened and is a great option if you want a quick meal. The menu offers preset bowl or sushi burrito options or the choice to construct your own bowl. I decided to make my own. The process and options were pretty straight forward and standard. The are base options of white or brown rice and the smaller bowl size allows for 2 protein options while the larger bowl allows for 3. You then have the option for additional mix ins, sauces of choice, then additional toppings. I found the smaller bowl option to be decently filling, but if you're really hungry or know you eat a lot then it may not be enough. The smaller bowl rang up to just over $15. The interior was clean and well kept and I was the only customer around 7pm on Thursday evening so the service was quick. I think this would be a good option for folks who work nearby. read more
