Well... NOT this time...... :( We ordered one dozen of oysters for $32 (i.e. not cheap). So-so size and freshness (i.e. not justifying the price point), but the thing that turned me off was that the oysters were shucked fairly poorly. You can probably tell from the picture below that there were many bits and pieces of shells inside. The overall market is great, but I'll certainly try oysters at another store next time.

The pricing was a bit steep, but then Rayan is the only place I know that grills fish like this, coated with bran, a traditional Egyptian way. The food came fairly quickly, and was hot and fresh. The fish came with a large portion of rice and vegetables, as well as chopped onions. The rice was of the "minute rice" type, which is not my favorite, but it was seasoned and a good side to have. The vegetables were doused in garlic and melted butter/margarine, and better than I expected for something reminiscent of frozen vegetable mix that's steamed/sauteed. The fish was very well seasoned, perhaps by marination, with lots of parlsey and fresh lemon. The wheat bran gave a subtle flavour to the fish, which remained tender and juicy inside thanks to the coating. If you don't enjoy the texture of the bran, you can always brush it off. Good stuff! Looking forward to try more.
