The big thing to fix before we moved in, was demolishing the old, impractical closet shelving and organizing (to replace with new). Because it all happened far faster than expected, we found ourselves needing contractor help in a hurry to get a large walk-in closet and four other bedroom closets demolished, patched, and painted. I went on Yelp, found CHS were top rated, and sent them a message. Bill and his team at CHS replied within 24 hours to our first inquiry. We exchanged texts with photos and questions and got and accepted a quote within a day. They were in our house three days later and got the job done two days after that. They stripped the floor to ceiling old shelves, patched and repainted the walls, fixed the hardwood floors and left everything completely clean. From first Yelp search to finished job, one week. I am very disappointed in the work and level of service I received from Ronald's Painting. I had…read morethem install cabinets, back splash tiles, and renovate a whole bathroom. They completed the job but it felt like the bare minimum was done. They didn't caulk anything. Tile work was C- work. The vanity they bought was messed up and warped but they still installed it instead of returning it and waiting for a new one. There wasn't any quality control until I came back from abroad to complain. You can tell they are just a painting company trying to take on more types of work. Maybe stay in your lane. When they installed my cabinets, they didn't bother to put in an electrical outlet above the stove so I have somewhere to plug in the built-in microwave I had installed. They just installed it over the old one and didn't bother. I'm pretty sure they didn't pull any permits because no one would approve that to be up to code. My mom found them from a flyer through church but I guess that doesn't mean they're honest or do good work. STAY AWAY! Update - Ron called me back almost immediately as soon as the review went up. He couldn't return my call but he definitely acted quickly with the review. As you can see from his passive-aggressive response, there is ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY, which showed throughout the project. Everything was my fault or the other contractor's fault or how long it's been etc... Yes, the other contractor was a poor communicator but I can assure you that his work had nothing to do with Ron's work. Am I not allowed to sub-contract work out how I see fit according to my budget? So when I brought in another contractor for the other stuff, your team said screw it, we don't need to take ownership for anything? Like the demo being left in my backyard? Yeah, thought so. The reason it's been 10 months is that I've had the house listed for sale. I've recently taken down the listing and am renting it and purchased new appliances, which is when I noticed that Ron's team didn't put in the outlet above the stove for a microwave/hood or put in a water line for the fridge. It's the small details that I thought when I paid Ron, I wouldn't have to worry about. I was wrong. Please don't act like I was a satisfied customer when we parted ways 10 months ago. When I got back from my honeymoon, I was very displeased with the work done and had to do several walkthroughs with your Foreman to even get it to just "all right". So now that I've had to spend more money to fix your lazy mistakes, I'm leaving the review.

The wife wanted a different color so I contacted Jonh (yes, spelled correctly) and 3 other contractors for quotes. Ultimately we selected Jonh's team for professionalism, accessibility, attention to detail, customer care and really just a gut level feel after meeting Jonh. The quotes were coming in late Friday night and early Saturday morning from all contractors. Jonh stayed in touch throughout the weekend, started early Monday and completed our 2 story, ~3k square foot home by Tuesday evening. The quality of work is outstanding and the attention to detail is impeccable. We stayed through the set-up, prep and early painting stages of the project and were just knocked-out by the craftsmanship. Upon completion, Jonh didn't want any payment until I returned to approve the finished product several days later. Literally, the best customer service experience I've ever had. I had the whole interior of my house painted as well as a built-in bookcase. Originally I was told…read moreit would take two days to paint the walls, then it was bumped to three after I added the bookcase (it's huge, so it made sense). After the first day of painting I was told it'd be done in two, but they probably should have used that third day. Some places look nice, but others definitely look rushed. There are places where you can see the paint dripped and dried with the dripping, some places I still see the original paint color, and they got paint all over my light fixtures and even some on the doors. The bookcase looks great, but I can no longer switch around the shelves to different levels because it looks like they put them back in wet, so when I remove a shelf, there's a nasty dark smear where the shelf meets the bookcase that's only hidden if the shelf remains in place. It felt like a rushed job and I was given five minutes to say if I was pleased with it or not. It wasn't until I was fully moved in that I began noticing all the poor work. Another complaint, I know they didn't use the paint color I gave them; they color matched it somewhere else and painted the cans so I wouldn't see the brand was wrong.

Even though my house is less than three years old, the garage was in sorry shape. KC and Tapree showed up Tuesday after Memorial Day on time; they quickly accessed the now-empty garage and immediately started the project. They fixed all the drywall seams that were considered substandard, sanded the walls and ceiling as necessary, and completely primed the garage in one day. The next day the garage walls and ceilings were expertly painted. They then proceeded to clean my garage floor and paint that too. They waited until all was dry and sealed the garage floor the following day. My wife and I cannot be happier with the finished project. A job well done; it looks like a work of art.
