I was just there for a cleaning and really impressed with how they've gone above and beyond to make sure things are good for visitors and staff. Air purifiers are everywhere. They take your temp, ask about your travel and if you've seen anyone positive, clear covers on all open spaces, and they sterilize with wipes throughout your time there, wiping every surface they touch. As for their craft, they are excellent with their care of your teeth. The equipment is up to date (digital x-rays and the like) and the dental hygienist who usually sees me, Heidi, is so knowledgeable and kind as she cleans my teeth. Dr. Kusch is solid too. They've also been really accommodating of the couple dental emergencies we've had that have popped up. My husband bit into a cherry pit when enjoying a pie and broke a tooth. They got them all fixed up. Another time his face swelled with infection. He arrived first thing and sat outside while I called and explained to them the situation and they accommodated him in between appointments making sure to take care of the situation that developed in his jaw. Things would have been truly dire had we needed to wait, but they knew that and made sure to take care. I've been so thankful for them. If you need a dentist in the Harper Woods/Grosse Pointe area, give them a try.

After becoming an adult many moons ago, I chose to remain their patient all through these years and all through their moves from one location to another. My mom is almost 80 years old now and she still comes here so I'm sure she's one of their longest standing patients. My kids have also been patients here as well so with 3 generations of family members, that should speak volumes about the practice, the dentists, the specialists, the hygienists, the x-ray techs and of course, the office staff. I've recommended them to others as well and one other family member of mine has made this dental office their practice of choice. Throughout all of these years, I've had the pleasure of meeting many of the staff members, some of which are still working here and some have sadly passed on and are missed. In over 50 solid years of being their dedicated patient, there has maybe been one small instance of a problem but nothing to even make a fuss about and it was cleared up in no time at all. In my book, this also speaks volumes for their business. They are conscientious and care about all of their patients. If there's a problem, they'll fix it. Even if there are no problems, and you only have questions that you need answers to, they are here to help you with all of your dental needs and concerns and they'll do what it takes to please their patients. No matter who you interact with, everyone here is always polite, friendly and professional. At times, there's a bit of a wait as far as scheduling with the dentist but they'll do what they can to get you in when you want or need to get in. Again, that's a good sign of a popular dental practice. They have a very nice, comfortable and warmly decorated waiting room with a TV, plenty of reading materials such as magazines and they always have the local newspaper too so you can catch up on the latest news. Oh, and I must give mention to the large, beautiful, fish tank that both kids and adults love looking at. The restroom is conveniently located just down the hall from the waiting room and they have a little seating area for the kids to read or color. They definitely have it all covered! I can't think of a thing that I would change so again, that's another example of a good, solid practice. So to sum this review up, if you're looking for a nice dental practice with friendly, professional staff, look no further... this is the one you're looking for and it fits everyone's needs with the many professionals that practice under this roof. What could be better than that?

During my previous visits, the assistant who took care of me was not very kind and made me feel self-conscious about my dental issues. It almost felt as if she was looking down on me, which made the experience uncomfortable. However, that all changed during my last appointment. Instead of my usual assistant, I was greeted by a different dental assistant, Mrs. Rose. From the moment she walked in, she radiated warmth, kindness, and genuine care. She was the sweetest person and made me feel comfortable, even though I had come in feeling down about my dental problems. She took the time to explain everything to me and offered reassurance that truly made a difference in my experience. I am so grateful for her kindness and the positive impact she had on my visit. I had agreed with the dentist to remove the review in exchange for a refund. Since I never received the promised refund, I am now reposting the review. Here it is: I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. I scheduled a tooth extraction after being told over the phone that my out-of-pocket cost would be $90 with insurance. Instead, I left with a $910 bill. The lack of financial transparency was extremely concerning. I was initially told that a bone graft would cost around $600, but during the procedure, that amount suddenly increased to $850--and I was required to pay immediately. What made the situation worse was the pressure I felt while still in the chair. The dentist pushed me to make an immediate decision between an implant or a bridge--both significant medical and financial choices that require time and proper explanation. I was also told that a bone graft was necessary right after the extraction, even though a bridge typically does not require one. When I questioned why these options and costs were not clearly explained beforehand, I was dismissively told, "We told you so," referring to information that had never been clearly communicated to me. At no point were the cost differences properly outlined. I also want to note that I never had any issues with the previous owner during my care, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I expect I may hear more explanations or even an apology, but that alone does not address the core issue of transparency and patient communication. Overall, I felt rushed, dismissed, and treated like just another number. Patients should never feel pressured into making major, permanent decisions on the spot. He did a thorough exam and Xrays and concluded the implant would work instead of pulling more teeth and having a bridge. The dentist suggested that I go out to a endodontist to get a second opinion on my teeth before we started my treatment plan. That endodontist took almost 2 months before I could see them. I went there to the referral appointment . Called back to Oakridge to make my appointment and she said they no longer take my insurance all of a sudden. She was very sarcastic with no apology. The office staff never really made me feel welcome there . Why dental offices do this to people is absolutely ridiculous to make someone feel less than because of insurance. Would give them 0 stars if it was possible. First off a dentist has no business knowing my past…read moremedical history, except for my teeth issues and with a comment that I must be the healthiest man on the planet after he read my paper work. Well I suppose that is true. Second my appointments were both over a month out. I was called to go out of state for power outage restoration, this happened for both appointments. I paid their 50$ fee for canceling my appointment. Third now they want $200 appointment fee. People without power will always come before a Dentist appointment, if you don't understand that I will find a new dentist. The only recommendation I will give this business is the dental hygienist did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. But then again every dentist has good hygienists.
