Stumbled upon this place while working on a nearby location. This little hole the wall Filipino spot has great food with a decent selection. They do offer party orders as well. The workers were friendly and all the food looked delicious. The prices were very fair and they can get busy during peak hours. This isn't the most organized or clean restaurant but if you want great filipino food for a great price, this is the spot. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. There is plenty of parking in the plaza it's located at. I got the two item combo and it was perfect for me.

Crispy Pata (Raw)

I'm a regular customer and have had several issues in the past but kept silent. 2 weeks ago, I ordered Crispy Pata and had issues with it. It was raw, lots of blood, rubbery and hard to chew, gross. Called the Joint to inform them of the issue so it will not happen again. The store representative promise to give a refund which I never asked for. 2 weeks have past, no refund as promised so I called to ask. The Store rep stated that I have to ask the refund from Grub Hub (GH). Tried to contact GH but won't be able to be refunded cause it was more than 48 hours. This is not about the refund really.... it was about customer service, word of honor.... The only thing I can say is they loss a customer, a regular customer....

Chicken Kare-Kare and Beef Kaldereta. Delicious!

No frills casual spot known for delicious home-style cooked Filipino food. The set up is a steam table buffet like where you pick and choose your combo meal. There is a decent selection of food to try. They also do catering and party trays. Service is so welcoming. They been in business since the 1980s. Everything we tried was delicious and inexpensive. Inside seating is available if needed, but most people get their food and go, at least that's my impression. Card and Cash accepted. Located in mini-mall thats spacious with good and plenty of parking. Near Island Pacific Supermarket.

First time here was a success so of course I ordered a second time! The TOCINO SANDWICH was super tasty. I like that you could get a sriracha cream or banana cream sauce to go with it. I think I want both! The combo plate with LECHON and TECINO was also good on my second try. The lechon was still crispy on top after delivery. Overall good flavor and I can't wait to go back again.

Two item combo: Kare Kare, Ginataang Langka with Pancit Bihon and white rice

For the past year, Point Point Joint has become my go-to Filipino turo turo restaurant in East Hollywood. The ambiance is truly homey and wholesome, as it feels like you are invited to eat at a family-friend's house. I truly feel the "tuloy po kayo (come on in)" hospitality of the Filipino culture at this precious place. I love the jeepney deco above the hot bar of fresh ulam (entrees)! For lunch, I ordered a two-item combo meal with Pancit Bihon, Kare-Kare and Ginataang Langka. Their pancit is truly savory, packed with vegetables and chicken pieces and is well seasoned. Their Kare-Kare is tender, creamy with crisp vegetables. The Ginataang Langka is also tasty and creamy. Their halo-halo is truly unique because they use ube flavored evaporated milk, packed with sweetened halo-halo ingredients and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is not your typical halo-halo, but the ube evap and the variety of authentic ingredients gives it justice! On another day, I convinced my friend to order a tray of pancit canton for our potluck. As I assisted my friend to pick it up, the pancit was ready and freshly made upon pick up time. Their Pancit Canton is genuinely packed with a variety of chopped veggies. It matches well with the fresh canton noodles and blends well with an umami flavor. Whether it's for dine-in, to-go or catering, I'll point out that Point Point is the go-to spot for authentic flavorful Filipino food!

Sisig was great. Had crunchy pieces, soft ones, fatty ones. Some places lack on the variety. Kare Kare is my favorite but we went before closing so I feel like I didn't get much meat in there, just veggie. I'm gonna get garlic rice next time. Will also get there earlier to try their sinigang wings. Also, there's a Valerio's next door

Lechon kawali and bicol express.

Home cooked filipino food. Big servings. I didnt like the kare kare as they used beef stomach rather than oxtails or beef

We ordered sisig, lechon kawali & halo-halo online for a late lunch. My wife and I were so lazy to cook and randomly looked for a filipino food. And after the food was delivered, we were so impressed how it was packed neatly. I chose ice cream to come together with my halo-halo. And it was placed in a separate cup container, same with pinipig and the milk+ube. Sisig has the right amount of pork & onions and it taste authentic. On the other hand, their lechon kawali is tasteful and not overcooked. We enjoyed our late lunch and ofcourse my dessert. We will surely order again and is excited to try all the food in their menu. Highly recommended!

Looking for comfort? Look no further. Point Point Joint is a no frills type of spot, but the love that exudes from the food is nothing less than great. Yes, the garlic rice lives up to the hype as told by other Yelpers. I like my rice to be glutinous and tacky... I hate when it's dry and you can taste every grain (if that makes sense lol) When I go searching for comfort food items, I tend to gravitate towards some garlic rice, longanisa, over-medium eggs, and of course vinegar! (Extra, if possible!) They also give a cup of soup and today happened to be sinigang - yum! I'll def be back again xo

Their garlic rice...umm....best thing on the menu! I know you might think I'm crazy but I swear! It was so darn good here. Garlic rice is a staple in Filipino cuisine and they blow it out of the park here! This week when I ordered from Point Point Joint, I had the Tosilog, thus the garlic rice. I live for Filipino breakfasts and you will always find mine with tocino in tow. I love tocino oh~so~much and if you put it over garlic fried rice with some eggs on top. I am in heaven! This dish didn't disappoint from Point Point but I found their tocino to be a bit more tough than I like...and a tad on the dry side. Probably just got an older batch but enjoyed the flavor. Plus you can add a coffee for just $2! As a caffeine-holic, I highly appreciate it. I also did their two item Point Point combo with the aforementioned tocino, the BBQ skewer and their pancit. The pancit suffered the same affliction as the pork, I think was out just a bit too long as it was a bit dry. The BBQ Chicken skewers were just delicious! Fabulous flavor, plump and tasty. I reheated this in the air fryer the next day and it was so darn good. I'd get the skewers again in a second! One kinda strange thing but I do not fault the restaurant in any way...I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and they called me to let me know they only had tea. No issues, but then I realized the tea is a bit more than a dollar less. No big issue...but ya know...worth mentioning! Would highly recommend getting the Filipino bfast with the skewers so you can enjoy juicy chicken and out of this world garlic fried rice! Nomz.

The only real issue is that it's gotten quite expensive (like pretty much all fast food joints since 2020. Orders were getting mixed up, people had to repeat themselves multiple times, and she kept telling customers to "wait" before even letting them speak. One situation stood out--there was a customer trying to order in Spanish, and the cashier couldn't understand him. Meanwhile, other staff behind the counter were speaking Spanish to each other but didn't step in to help. Another customer who was waiting for their food ended up translating just so the order could go through. That shouldn't happen. When it was my turn, I tried to be patient. I downloaded the Tommy's app since there was a sign posted right at the register and asked if she needed my barcode--she seemed confused. I ordered a triple cheeseburger, and she repeated something completely different back to me. I had to slowly repeat myself several times and was still told to "wait" again. Maybe she was new or overwhelmed, but with that many staff behind the counter, someone should have stepped in to help. The lack of coordination made the whole experience frustrating. Food is what you expect, but the service alone made this a bad experience.

There were additional people from habit there for the festivities and everybody was very friendly and the service was great from ordering to keeping the place clean as people kept on coming through. When I got there, there was a bit of a line as expected, but the line moved pretty efficiently. When it was my turn to order, I got the double char, fries, and of course, the blue wave shake. I thought everything was delicious. I like their burgers because it's a little thicker and it has that grill char flavor to it. There were other giveaways and festivities going on, but I couldn't stay too long. I had a lot of fun and it got me excited to kick off the new baseball season. However, after an…read moreunpleasant experience at this particular McDonald's location today, I feel compelled to use both of those terms. Typically, at large corporate chains, if a drive-thru employee has trouble understanding a customer's order--whether due to a faulty speaker or simply not hearing the request--they will apologize and ask the customer to pull forward to place their order in person. Furthermore, they do not get angry at the customer--they might show some signs of annoyance, perhaps, but never outright anger. Yet, the manager at this specific store--a man named Carlos--lost his temper the moment he saw me, snapping that he couldn't understand a word I was saying. He acted as if to ask, "If you can't speak English, why did you even come here?" To this day, I still cannot fathom why he was unable to understand the simple request for "4 apple pies." If it were just the young part-time staff, I wouldn't make a fuss; what's the point of getting annoyed at kids who are practically the age of your own children? They're just out there working to earn some pocket money, so there's really no need to get angry at them. However, when the person responsible for the overall management and operation of the store--the manager--works like that, it sets a poor example, and naturally, the other employees don't treat customers very well either. Spend my own hard-earned money just to place an order here? I definitely do not recommend this place.
