Beautifully decorate restaurant but having to go to a mall no matter how luxurious it looks it is bummer. I have to say that all restaurants around Pobre Juan were pretty good looking too. Decor wise was very modern, intimate and artsy classy. The wines were excellent, or that is what my connoisseur friends said. Now, the fish we choose (maybe we should have stick to meat as it is an Argentinian restaurant after all) was one from the Amazonian and it was hard and gummy. We asked the waiter and he told us that this is the type of fish but we were disappointed that we were not told the type of flavor and texture before deciding even if we asked for that.

Exceptional restaurant!!!!! The drinks were fantastic, the tangerine & ginger caipirinha is a must! We tried the sausage fly and the provolone cheese ate the best appetizers! The steak were absolutely delicious, the eggs "farofa" and the "soufflé" potatoes were another must! For dessert were had the dulce de leche churros and O-M-G. The view of the mountains is definitely a huge plus!!! It's on the expensive side but definitely recommend and will go back.

    Brownie dessert. So good!!

We were staying in Rio and decided to take a trip out to Barra da Tijuca. It was a bit of a drive but was well worth it. This restaurant is in a very nice shopping mall. Reminded me of home. The restaurant is really nice. The decor and music make it very pleasant and inviting. We ordered the sangria which was sooooo good. It had tons of fruit in it and it wasn't too sweet or strong. Def a must try. For our starter we tried the carne empanadas. They were ok. The meat filling was a bit dry. But our main course made up for it. I had the rib eye and he had the lamb chops. Both very good options and worth the price. They were cooked just the way we requested. I will definitely come back next trip to Rio.

The Meat quality is one of the best and their wine list excellent. Sectors are well made and we enjoyed live piano music on a Friday evening. The place gets crowded so ensure to be early...

This restaurant has really become one of my favorite places to dine at while traveling to Rio. We…read moregot the feijoada and it was incredibly good. If you like a little spice with some of your food, be sure to discard the tobasco sauce and ask for the molho pimenta especial. Be sparing with how much you use, it can get pretty ridiculous. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I don't think they speak much English, descriptive hand gestures and menu props are welcome and likely offensive. I'm stopping here again before I leave. Our meal for two came out to around R$100 for four drinks and feijoada to share. Portion sizes are large.

I was alone and quite hungry. I had no idea what to order so I order feijoada even though the menu said it was for 2 persons. I have no regrets! It was the BEST feijoada I had!!! Every piece of the dish was FRESH, HOT, and very flavorful. The pork and beef was cooked just right. Not too salty or overcooked. The male waiter couldn't speak English but he was so kind to help set my plate even though I knew how to eat it. Everywhere else I had feijoada or rice and beans with beef and farofa was gross in comparison. The restaurant I first had feijoada, the meat (pork/beef) was ultra salty and overcooked. The meal just tasted ok. I ate about 3 rounds and packed the rest as take-away. I like that the waiter packed each pot into a separate box. They did charge for the bigger boxes (2). I ended up splitting the leftover into 2 meals. Therefore I feel the dish would be a lot of 2 people, if they are not big eaters. I think 3 people is just right. I will definitely come back here for just feijoada.

This place was nice but if you're a foreigner - I would suggest visiting Churrascaria Palace near Copacabana instead. We loved it so much we went twice during our one week stay in Rio. The service was 100x better, many more cuts of steak coming around, amazing salad bar, and the ambience was just as nice. Also more foreigner friendly. **Knocking four stars off service specifically for the two hostesses up front (Jan 27 '26). Upon entering, they immediately gave each other a weird look making us feel weird, uncomfortable, and not welcome. They looked me up and down and exchanged judgmental looks upon entering and once again as we were leaving after our meal. As a classy restaurant, I expect a warm welcome from a hostess who carries that same classy standard in her demeanor and behavior.

I kept my expectations tempered, as people online said that in the end the best quality meat will not be at a churrascaria, so you're going more for the AYCE experience rather than the actual best cuts of meat. Overall, I had a great time - the restaurant was beautiful even at night (I heard in the day, there's a stunning view of Sugarloaf Mountain). The meats were free flowing - it might have helped that the table was close to the kitchen, so servers would come very quickly. It was pretty much exactly the experience I was looking for. They provide cards so that you can ask which cut of meat it is if it's not clear (and if you can't speak Portuguese). I was able to try a bunch of different cuts until I was fully stuffed. I will say I never requested a specific cut, and have heard that it might take some time if you are just looking for specific items.
