Outback in Brazil is not like what you're used to. In the U.S. it's just another chain restaurant. Here, it's more upscale, and when people go, it's usually for a special occasion or to eat a nice meal - my friend ate ribs with a fork and knife and when I asked if she used her hands, she said, "Not here." It's that kind of place.
Which is why you should skip past this joint. When you walk up, it's probably going to be busy. When I went, the waitress seemed to want to turn us away, saying there was a wait. So I asked how long...there were two tables waiting ahead of us. Two. That's like 10 minutes. Well we went to the bar and were promptly forgotten about. Service was slow and bad, although that's kind of the norm around here. I had the T-bone steak, and asked for it medium rare. Somehow they managed to cook it both rare and well-done at the same time. I didn't think that was even possible. And the baked potato was tiny without much flavor.
For the price, it's not worth it. And unless you live in Brazil, or are an Outback enthusiast, you should go eat somewhere else because there are much better options. read more
