While they were shaving my post I watched a worker take chunks out of the wood. I stated it needed to be fixed. the worker used wood filler that wasn't stainable. it's their job to know that not mine. I allowed them to do the work -I come back to a broken storm door completely bent screws missing that I had to fix myself- there was a gash in my wall on my stairs that I had to fix myself as well - no thank you from the company. there was a blemish on my floor right by kitchen- there was a stain in my closet -there was a stain in my dining room and my post going up my stairs was silver in multiple spots. I addressed this with the owner David Habib and he basically said well there's nothing that they could do nor did he offer any type of compensation. He said they would color it or try to blend it. He Didn't want to pay for the post that they ruined - so my husband said we would split it and we didn't have to. I told him the post could not stay like that/ it needs to be changed/ the post was on back order for three months. I told him when he came if he was going to take the post out I don't wanna have to deal with any more problems- he could not guarantee that. I could've been a bitch and said I don't care if it creates more problems if it creates more problems then you resand the stairs and you fix it but instead because I'm a good person I said I'll just leave the post like that after paying $7000 and I'll touch it up as best as I can thinking that I was preventing him from going into a bigger problem which indirectly wasn't my problem. the spindles on my stairs were taken out and never glued back: sent him a message about that got no response . I decided to call his partner Sean and tell his partner that where I come from this is not how people do business if the job is not 100% then I should be offered compensation and I'm not paying 100% of the bill. He came to my home clearly wasn't too happy about taking a dollar off the bill- he just wants to have imperfections in a home and not give a shit. offered a credit to the company and I said a credit will not be suffice. My husband told him he needs to take $600 off the bill due to stains that I have to look at and live with for the next 15 to 20 years I think that was pretty fair. The price was great too. The job was done beautifully, and I have a 4,400 square foot roof with lots of angles. I have but one but....the actual job was done by 2 subcontractors whose team spoke no English, the foreman spoke enough to get by. This made it difficult to coordinate what furnishings and garden items were being moved. They also did not take photos of the items being moved so the garden items were just jammed in anywhere and they didn't put the furniture back until we complained to Bill. Clean up of debris wasn't great either, we found about 2-3 cups of nails not picked up on the deck, in the grass, and by the steps.

Before taking the contract, they sent their team to inspect the floor, assess the condition, and determine what work needed to be done. Based on that inspection, they recommended the work and provided a quote. I therefore expected the job to be done professionally and properly. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. Their sales team is rude and dont lift calls after you give them contract. The work appeared rushed and taken shorcuts, and they did not seem willing to listen to feedback or address concerns during the process. Very next day, the new grout started cracking and coming out, and the tiles they supposedly repaired are already moving more then what they were. The floor now looks worse than it did before they started. The worst part was their response after I reported the problems. Management was not willing to come back and physically inspect the work or see the issues firsthand. Instead, they blamed the pre-existing condition of the subfloor and there all imagaination. If the subfloor was truly a concern, that should have been properly identified and communicated before accepting the job--especially since their team had specifically inspected the floor before providing the quote. Rather than taking the time to understand the problem and stand behind their work, they essentially dismissed my concerns without properly investigating the failure. My biggest concerns were the rushed workmanship, lack of responsiveness to customer feedback, and, most importantly, their refusal to come back and inspect the failed work. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sir Grout. Always the high price does not translate into quality workmanship or professional customer service.
