But now they are working on their stupid updates and once again, I can't access my money! Needing food and being a diabetic and not being able to access my funds is a dangerous game for a bank to be playing. I wouldn't bank here if given a choice, go elsewhere!

Since I've never served in the military, my qualification is my father was a World War Two veteran. One advantage to belonging to Navy FCU is their customer service is open 24/7. Additionally, since they have very few branches across the U. S., most transactions can be done on line or via the telephone with customer service. Additionally, Navy FCU has ATM agreements with many other credit unions which allows you to access your accounts locally. I've not had any experience with loans from Navy, but I can tell you in general their savings rates are among some of the highest in the country. Navy has several savings specials throughout the year that are outstanding when compared to local institutions. Once I became an established member, the customer service via telephone has been outstanding. If you live in the Louisville area, the closest brick and mortar branch is in Radcliff KY, right outside one of the Fort Knox gates. I have visited this particular branch twice. Both times the business I needed to conduct was handled quickly and efficiently. So far I am extremely happy Navy FCU. One final note: Qualifying and establishing your account with Navy can be lengthy and requires several documents. Their security protocols can be difficult to establish, but this should give you peace of mind once established.

They're only open…read more8-5 M-TH, but since I work 8-5 I have to wait until Friday when they're open until 6 if I need to go into the bank, but that's not a big deal. Additionally their loan interest rates are a little high compared to local banks, so I have my loans through another bank. But for a checking account, debit card, or even a credit card, they are EXCELLENT! Overall, I've never had any complaints against Chase and they are always so nice and willing to assist.

My business was 'inherited' in the sense that the bank I chose to do business with was bought out, so in the spirit of expediency, I kept my accounts active. The people at this branch (none of whom I recognize from previous interactions pre-branch downsizing) have consistently been patronizing assholes who act as if they are doing me a favor to allow access my accounts or make deposits. The number of long personal conversations with other customers I have had to wait thru while waiting for assistance is unreal. The tone I have regularly received from staff, unless they really are someone's entitled, sheltered pre-teen child doing some sort of work experience program is utterly beyond comprehension. As of this afternoon, I have officially had enough of their 'fun and games' and will be working on getting my automatic deposits and payments switched to new accounts at another bank, as tiresome a hassle that that is. If you are looking for an area bank starting from scratch, do your research, I'm sure you'll find one with at least adequate customer service...it's definitely not Wesbanco or specifically this branch office.
