This has to be the most unprofessional financial institution that I deal with! I am so happy that…read moremy sole purpose in even visiting this place is that they offer shared branching! Every time I stop here there is an unpleasant experience. My first thought told me to stop at forum instead but unfortunately this place is seconds from my home. So the unfortunate experience that I'm referring to today is that when I pulled up (drive through) at 10:43 a.m my transaction was very simple I was depositing cash. I sent cash along with my ID the clerk verify which account I wanted it deposit it in and he disappear. 10 minutes later I hit the button to call tell her there was no response I waited another 3 minutes hit the button to call tell her no response. I waited a few more minutes and I hit the call teller button at least five times in a row. A different clerk emerged asking how she could help me and I asked her if she would send my identification card as I had already use the app to verify that the money was deposited 10 minutes prior. She disappeared from the screen and she sent out my ID card with no receipt. I hit the call clerk button again there was never a response again. I went ahead and left because I could verify through my app that the money was deposited and there was a line forming behind me. I left that drive-through at 11:01 a.m. and if I could give zero Stars I would

I'm a longtime member of Indiana Members Credit Union, though I primarily focus my time downtown…read moreand at the Castleton branch. However, since I've been spending so much time in Hendricks and Putnam Counties I've had multiple opportunities to visit this Avon branch. This branch is located directly off U.S. 36 and is in the same complex as the Regal Theatre, the new Ford's Garage, Portillo's, and a few other establishments. This IMCU has quite a bit of land. It used to have an ATM out in an adjacent parking lot, however, most of the IMCU branches switched to a smart teller and that caused everything to be relocated. Whether using an ATM, a video teller, or going inside, I've always had great experiences here. There's a couple accessible parking spots and a pretty decent ramp to get up to their sidewalk. They have the usual security doors, however, it works well and everyone is super friendly. After receiving some unexpected funds, I stopped off to explore options for using them wisely. I was presented with options. Each option was explained and we chose the best one for my situation. I appreciated that they were cautious about my account, however, once their security measures were addressed they also helped me work toward meeting my needs. I wish I lived a bit closer to this one as I would no doubt use it more often, however, it's definitely not uncommon now for me to stop in when I'm going to or from Putnam County. This has quickly become one of my favorite IMCU branches in Central Indiana.

It has happened almost every time I've spoken with a call center person, over many years.... I'm an amateur linguist and am good with accents. I engage them in conversation and find out where they are calling from. Huntington Bank should not be giving out our private information to people on the other side of the world. Think of how many places our information has to go through before it ever gets to a call center there: probably many. Those call center workers may not even have a security clearance. They have access to our names, address, phone number, bank account information, etc. 2 tellers, 1 supposedly a manager, adamantly denied this and another "manager" also denied it. I was told I'd wait only about 5 min. to talk with her, then she told me it'd be another 20 min., at least. When she finally spoke with me, she was very passive-aggressive and rude with me. I don't think she even understood I was against the sending our information to the other side of the world; I think she thought I was racist, which I'm not. I called the customer service while walking to my car and once again, got someone working in the Philippines. I went back in the bank and told the teller that I had a person on the phone in the Philippines, and the tellers and manager refused to talk with the person on the phone, therefore passively avoiding the issue. Classic. The manager continued to be passive aggressive and rude. She had no understanding of "customer service." Why didn't she say, 'I'm sorry, I didn't know that. Let me call head office and pass your comment along" or something similar? She also wouldn't give me the phone number for their corporate office (not Customer Service.) She and the other employees insisted their corporate office # that they call for staff issues is the same # as the Customer Service #. If that were true, then they would have been glad to talk with a representative. But they refused to. Talk about avoidance and failure to be transparent with their customers! I drive out of my way just not to go to that location because of their poor service.

I had so hoped I'd be able to write a positive review of Huntington. Our initial experience, where…read moremy husband and I had had small individual checking accounts, was positive enough that we decided to transfer our main checking and savings accounts to Huntington. We spent a lot of time getting our electronic transfers and auto pays established at Huntington, ordered checks and looked forward to a good experience. We received confirmations that the transfers/autopays were in place. Imagine our surprise when Huntington canceled two of our electronic transfers without advising us. This created major problems and embarrassment as those on the receiving end were denied their money, even though there was more than a sufficient balance in our account. We also incurred fees from the receiving institutions due to Huntington's actions. We called the bank's customer service line and were told we needed to provide paper copies of the other banks and credit cards we had linked to our account but could not tell us why, or who would see this confidential information. When my husband went to the branch with these documents, no one knew anything about this "requirement." It took us a long and frustrating experience to finally get access to our transfers. I wrote to the bank President, since the branch and customer service couldn't tell us why this had happened and how future similar issues could be avoided. I wanted him to know the experience of a new customer. I did not hear from him but a few weeks later, I had a voice mail from someone from Huntington. He did not leave his name and when .I returned the call, his voice mail did not identify his name or the bank's name but I left a message anyway. I received a call back from Ryan Mahargh (though he never gave me his name and I had to ask). He had no information to share. I really don't know why he called me. He said he was a regional director over the retail branches. He was unable to explain what had happened, telling me that "that is part of security and they don't tell us about that." He said my experience was unusual. He expressed no apology for inconvenience, appreciation that we were customers or any of the niceties that would have helped smooth things over, such as covering the fees we incurred due to the bank's mistakes. He told me he would send our situation to the "Escalation Department" and told me I'd hear from them with 5 business days. When I asked if he would be following up with them to be sure I heard from them, he told me no, that once he turned it over to them, he was finished with it. When I asked for a name/phone number of someone in that department in case I didn't hear anything, he told me he couldn't provide that to me. This call was more than a month ago and I have never heard from anyone from the 'Escalation department", Ryan Mahargh or anyone else from Huntington. My recommendation is to avoid this bank if you value customer service and a positive banking relationship. You won't find either here.
