As they have said apparently in reply to what I posted, the "loud noise" was our 1 year old daughter playing during regular times, I'm talking 7-3 and we were told we were not allowed to vacuum in our apartment during the business hours of the office downstairs. How is that reasonable with a one year old? Not only did they threaten us with police for the noise, but we were threatened with "do you know who I am?". And "what are you running a daycare up there?" Really???? We are not bad people, but after putting up with this company we had enough and decided to stop playing their games...Do as you please but don't say you haven't been warned.

While there is always room for improvement, they have been doing a great job for us over the past several years. We had another property management company prior to this, and the financials were in a terrible state and repairs took forever. In a community, there is always something to be repaired and complaints about service does happen. It is not an easy task to deal with so many personalities., but our property manager does this with grace and kindness. The property managers I have worked with from Great North have been very accommodating and very professional. What people might not realize is that the property manager works at the behest of the Board of Directors. The Board makes all the financial decisions for the community and works with the property manager in deciding the budget and what maintenance needs to be done. The community votes on the budget each year, and most communities have budget meetings at which the Board or property manager explains the expenses for the following year. The Board of Directors is elected by the homeowners and has a fiduciary responsibility to make sure the community has the funds to maintain the homes and property values, and to fund an adequate reserve account for the future. The property manager is part of this process.

That changed after a water leak in my unit. At the time, this company was managing our HOA, and I turned to them for help. Instead of providing support, they began harassing me when I asked questions about how the issue would be resolved. The on the time board president(Don Delory)even sent me a lawyer's letter in an attempt to silence me for asking too many questions about NextGen operations. However, Don and Ken underestimated me -- they picked the wrong person to try and intimidate, and it backfired on them in a big way. I made a promise to myself that I would remove them from my association. I played a critical role in firing this company due to their sloppy management. I agree with the Cammi P. review. The Don and Ken duo exploited the association to the fullest and drove it to its knees. Don sold his units once he realized he could no longer withstand my activism. The management of this company is dishonest, manipulative, and operates like outright bullies. Please stay away far far away.
