The last time I had a facial was pre-COVID, so I was really looking forward to this appointment. I'm glad I listened to previous reviews. It was okay...I've gotten many different kinds of facials over the years at many different places. Great decor, cute vibes. This place was just ok... it isn't the height of luxury or a spa like experience. I was asked if I wanted to take off my shirt, which I hope would be mandatory for any facial experience. The jelly mask was dripping all over my hair, inside my mouth, up my nose-- it didn't feel relaxing at all. She was very rough around my eye area. She was tugging on my earrings and my hair to get the product out, I felt like an oily sticky mess. I should have been asked to take my earrings and jewelry off before the facial. It was also freezing and only a thin sheet was provided, which wasn't enough. The bed I was laying on was very stiff and flat, not comfortable at all. My check in was quick and so was my checkout. Again, nothing special here. For a 150$ service, I expected more. read more

Amazing service! I did the hydro-glow facial with derma-plane. The first 2-3 days my skin was a bit red, due to extractions which is of course normal. However, my skin is glowing, it's soft, and clean. I can feel the difference in the texture and that my skin needed this treatment. To get rid of the blackheads and some smaller acne, I will be back this weekend for the skin renewal treatment. By the way, Kate was amazing, she walked me through the whole process. Also, everything was clean, very relaxing environment. Definitely recommend!!! read more

As a maid-of-honor for one of my best friends getting married soon, I wanted the both of us to get pampered and look great for her wedding day. I found Plushe Aesthetics on Instagram and was interested in their bride-to-be package. It included the hydro-dermabrasion and oxygen infusion facials, dermaplaning, peptide eye mask and a collagen infused mask. And a 30-min foot massage. When you walk in, you're asked to fill out a form for them to learn more about you and your skin. The place has cute modern decor and pretty minimalistic. I was then taken care of by my esthetician Kate. Before she started, she examined my skin and suggested not to do the dermaplaning on me since I had some new acne come in recently (probably due to stress from it's almost wedding time, haha). I was a little concerned about my skin because I did have some bumps and redness that I haven't had in a long time. And I also haven't had a facial in years. I trusted her suggestion and instead, she recommended LED light therapy to help my pores and reduce bacteria under my skin. The entire service was about two hours long and well worth it. I also liked that she told me each part of the service before she actually started. Although extractions are not included in this package, Kate did do some light extractions on my nose and some bumps, so I appreciated that. By the end of the service, she said some of the bumps already went away. I looked in the mirror and it looked and felt like most of them did go away, so I was really happy about that. I tried to avoid the sun and washing my face regularly since then, as Kate recommended. It has now been two days since my service and I can already see a dramatic difference in my skin. It has been clearing up and I imagine it will look even more clear in a couple days, and hopefully even better by the wedding. I'll consider doing facials from Plushe Aesthetics routinely and will be back again! And thanks, Kate! read more

Kate was my aesthetician. I came in for a facial I was familiar with in the past but because I haven't had a facial since pre-covid and had a big break out recently, Kate recommended the best type for my current skin needs (with in no way trying to convince me but rather steer me in a direction to meet my skin goals). I ended up doing an enzyme peel and extractions. I'm so happy with it. She's very knowledgeable and explained everything as it was my first experience with a peel. The esthetician really messed with my skin. I had mentioned that it hurt and she just said sorry and proceeded regardless of the fact that it was painful for me, as well as the fact that the pimples weren't even nearly ready to be extracted?... The decor is nice but maybe try and take your clients feelings into consideration.. I also feel like my skin looks so so much worse now than it did before the facial, as the extractions have left marks behind on my skin. I know every face/skin is different, but my skin broke out like never before after my hydroglow facial. :/ read more

This was my first professional facial, and I found it incredibly relaxing. I came in for the classic Plushe facial and worked with Becca - who talked me through her process which really put me at ease. I didn't really know what to expect, so getting the chance to have a 1 on 1 consultation about my skin was a huge plus. She walked me through some best cleansing practices and recommended a few products (in my budget!) that I could add into my daily routine. But honestly, my favorite part was the jelly mask and shoulder massage, I basically fell asleep hah. Couldn't recommend this place more! read more

Not only was it an amazing way to relax and de-stress days before my big day, it also made my skin look so fresh and clear for the day! I found this amazing spa that is conveniently right outside of the N/W train stop! They follow COVID measures the spa is really clean and the staff is amazing. I came in for a facial since my skin has been very dry after my consultation the esthetician recommended the hydra facial. My face looks and feels great!! Will definitely be returning. I am so happy Astoria finally has a place like Plushe, and even more grateful for the incredible staff and services. I've had 2 facials and have sensitive skin, and after my second facial had a minor skin reaction. The salon instantly jumped in to help - from cross-referencing other products I've used in the past that have affected my skin to ensuring they knew each product & ingredient list used during both facials to figure out what happened this time - they did everything possible to get me answers and improve my future experiences. They also went above and beyond offering to look at my irritated skin and lightly treat it with a soothing mask and oil that has my skin feeling much calmer.
