Today, I waited a full 30 minutes AFTER my morning appointment time before asking for an estimate about when they would be able to perform my imaging. About 10 minutes later I was led to the back, only to be told that there was going to be a further wait because there was only one tech and she was busy with an MRI patient. I don't understand why they have so many staff in the back of the office who are standing around chatting only one tech. I have never seen fewer than three people chatting in the back. Presumably they make money by performing scans. They have a lot of staff who don't appear to be doing much, and they certainly aren't efficiently using their scanning equipment to optimize the number of patience able to be seen in a day. When I scheduled her appointment over the phone, the representative specifically instructed us to arrive one hour early so she could complete paperwork and be prepared for her MRI and CT scan. Instead, by 6:55 PM, she was only just being called back. She had been waiting for nearly two hours, despite following the instructions we were given. To make matters worse, she had been fasting for her scans and was clearly uncomfortable and in distress from waiting so long. The most frustrating part was that staff told my mother there was no reason to arrive an hour early and even claimed my grandma's appointment was at 6:15 PM--which is completely incorrect. We have documentation showing her appointment was scheduled for 5:15 PM. While we waited, multiple patients who arrived after us were called back before my grandma without any explanation. The lack of communication, organization, and compassion was incredibly disappointing. This experience was unacceptable, especially for an elderly patient who was already uncomfortable. I sincerely hope this facility improves how it schedules patients and communicates with families, because no one should have to go through this. We will not be returning. Ridiculous place

I'm a big guy, and not particularly claustrophobic, but I can't imagine someone of even normal size being anything but terrified by these things without substantial sedation. Remembering HSI and their Open MRI from a couple years ago, I jumped through the hoops to get my referral redirected to them. The difference is like night and day. The office decor and people immediately put you at ease and the open machine didn't make me feel claustrophobic at all, let alone restrict my breathing like the other one.

So i called them to see if they could switch up my muscle relaxant and they said I'd have to come in again. WHAT! I was literally just there for the same exact problem and you want me to return?!? They just want another reason to bill my insurance, as if my first copay wasn't high enough. My advice- if you can wait for your primary doc- WAIT!
