Within the first couple of weeks our puppy began showing episodes of staggering, collapsing limbs and involuntary head tremors which lead us from veterinarian to neurologist, expensive testing and the diagnosis of a congenital neurological disorder. From the beginning I updated Jacque occasionally with our puppy's progress with only minimal response from her. A recent hunch had me read over the AKC registration papers of the dam and sir, Lima and Burly, given to us at adoption, when I discovered they were daughter and father - inbreeding! After weeks of grief and confusion we finally had the truth. I confronted Jacque and she claimed to have no knowledge of the inbreeding and blamed it entirely on her mother, an experienced breeder who supplied Burly's "sample" at a Veterinary hospital. Whether this was truly a stupid oversight or greed, (Jacque had another dam give birth only 3 weeks after our puppy came home) is unclear, but looking back there where other signs (and what was not being said) that have us questioning her motives. Jacque has wisely refunded our adoption and veterinary expenses. It's uncertain what our beloved puppy's length or quality of life will be, somedays are good, some not, but we will care for her as best we can. Returning her was never an option. I'm posting this review because I don't want another dog to suffer unnecessarily and family live through this heartbreaking experience.

She brought new life into our home after losing two rescue dogs, Bitsie lived until 18 years old and Katie lived until 16 years old. We were not looking for a dog when we saw little Bella running around in our neighbors front yard. We fell in love with her immediately. She was so filled with love and life that most puppies have but she had this funny way of showing her happiness...she would smile while showing her teeth. My neighbor Scott nicknamed her choppers. She lived a long time, 13 years, and would have live a lot longer but sadly she was attacked and killed by a wolf/shephard hybrid two weeks after her 13th birthday. We were devastated. We are still morning her loss but we know we must get another dog because life without a dog is pretty empty and boring. After all Dog is God spelled backwards. He kept the puppies in a concrete bunker with air conditioning. When he collected to many old dogs who ate into his profits he suddenly had a FIRE and they all died. Hmmm.... a fire? In a concrete structure? Then overwhelmed by grief he bought all new dogs and started breeding en mass. My first question... Were gasoline barrels kept next to he building with candles on top? My second question... Did INSURANCE pay a claim for these withered animals that suffered neglect and had horrible living conditions? Fill in there blanks Arso#? Insurance Fr@ud? Leory Fhlug needs to be in JAIL. Hopefully he never comes near another animal and his business stay shuttered since there is no market for puppies anymore.
