Please be aware before hiring Servant Plumbing…read more I did not want to write this review. I made several attempts to resolve these concerns directly before deciding to share my experience. I hired Servant Plumbing for two jobs in my home. One reason I chose them was the cross in their logo and the Christian values reflected in their advertising. The first job was a small repair in my back bathroom: replacing the toilet tank components, the shut-off valve, and a 10-12-inch supply line. The second job involved diagnosing and repairing a hot water leak in my hall bathroom. Steve estimated both jobs at $1,275, which I paid in cash before work began. The back bathroom repair was completed, and the workmanship was excellent. The hall bath repair, however, turned out to be much more extensive than anticipated. I was told it would require significantly more work, including replacing the tub, which I could not afford. I understood and accepted that the larger repair would not be completed. My concern arose when I received a refund of $670, meaning I was charged $635 for the small back bathroom repair alone. Given the scope of the work, I questioned whether that amount was reasonable and requested an itemized invoice showing labor, materials, and hours worked. I never received one. Steve also told me that part of the $635 charge covered a tool he had purchased while attempting the hall bathroom repair. I was never informed beforehand that I would be responsible for purchasing a tool. When I questioned this, I was told I could have the tool if I drove to Walterboro--about an hour from my home--to pick it up. After several business days of trying to resolve these concerns with Steve, I contacted the Mount Pleasant office. Mike returned my call and stated that the larger hall bathroom repair would normally cost around $850 (excluding the cost of a new tub). Based on that information, the completed back bathroom repair would have been approximately $425. He said he would discuss the matter with Steve and get back to me. After waiting another week without hearing from anyone, I called Mike again. He told me he had not yet had time to investigate my concerns or speak with Steve. On top of this, Mike said Steve had just gone on vacation. I was told it would be at least another week before they could discuss the matter. At that point, I felt helpless, unheard, frustrated, and taken advantage of... There were additional concerns, but these were the primary issues. As a widow and the caregiver for my 27-year-old son with severe special needs, this was a significant expense for my family. I genuinely hoped these concerns could be resolved privately. Since they were not, I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

LEE IS THE MAN!!! We bought a house built in 1959. It's a great house in a great location,…read morehowever we have had plumbing issues since we moved in this March (3/2023). In short, everything works fine and then the toilets will begin backing up. We plunge, we turn alternate water on the attempt to flush the problem, and we have pretty much bought all of the Drano that Harris Teeter sells. The problem corrects itself after a while and then, rinse and repeat, it occurs again. We have had two different plumbers come out to attempt to correct the situation, Pardee and another one, who's name escapes me. Both companies ran an auger into the line and told me they had fixed the issue, they hadn't. My wife eventually called Mr. Rooter and Lee, the man, the myth, the legend, showed up on 7/26/2023. Unlike the previous plumbers who just started augering, Lee played detective, found where the sewer actually came out of the side of our house (Editor's note: Both previous plumbers said the line came out of the front of the house towards the street. Pardee even gave us a quote for a clean out valve in the front yard). Lee found the drain, he also found three clean out valves that had previously been installed and finally solved our issue. I cannot give Lee enough credit, he was inquisitive, asked great questions, and solved our issues. Will I use Mr. Rooter again, what do you think? Thanks for reading!

We got approved on the spot for a new system, scheduled the install for a couple of days later. They showed up on time, and they completed the job by 3 pm. They cleaned up and removed the old system. The air conditioning felt amazing and worked so silently, we could hardly tell it was on except the temperature got to my comfort level within hours. I am more than happy, I am grateful since I am retired and spend a lot of time in my home. Thank you so much for your help!

ARS service is excreble; even a one (1) Star rating is too generous…read more They serviced my HVAC last August. However, their Technician left several drops of what was likely freon on my hardwood floor immediately under the attic entrance to the HVAC unit. The freon drops could not be wiped off and penetrated the wood's polyurethane seal and even the stain itself, requiring extensive repair: sanding the hardwood down to the original wood grain, re-staining the floor and re-applying several new coats of polyurethane seal, costing over $500. I sought reimbursement of these expenses from ARS. I have made repeated attempts to resolve this but have not received even one return call. Specifically, I called their North Charleston office about this issue on September 8, 17, 22 and most recently, via a hand-delivered letter along with hard copy photos of the floor damage on October 8 to Seth, ARS' Quality Assurance Manager. Incredibly, my letter went unanswered, In November, I met with a ARS Manager exhibiting their services at the Lowe's in their Town Center. While he took copious notes of my problems, his vows to have senior management follow-up continue unfuflilled. It's been both futile and exhausting trying to get ARS to actually do the right thing. I'm out $500 for damage their installlers caused. I strongly encourage you to use others to avoid the same fate as me. David D. Isle of Palms
