Reducing the death rates and spread of disease, all while providing good, clean drinking water. Really, what more can you ask for? I know...third world problems. We just don't know how good we have it here in the states. Anyway, I digress. This company was started by a couple who felt compelled to help the world. They operated an environmental engineering company and started Water Mission almost 20 years ago. They are a Christian based ministry who seek to serve all peoples around the world. I have seen their work first hand. After Hurricane Matthew devastated many areas down in the Atlantic and Caribbean, I went with a disaster relief team to Haiti to assist in the recovery efforts. Water Mission had already been working to install wells in a remote section of the South Western peninsula. They prioritized this effort after the hurricane struck. I had the fortunate pleasure to witness these wells in operation during my time there. This community was less affected by some of the diseases witnessed in other areas of the country due to these efforts. The international headquarters are located in an industrial part of North Charleston. They hold an open house at least yearly, along with many educational opportunities. They are always in need of volunteers if you feel so inclined. This is a great example of how a call to action can save lives and make our world so much better. Please participate and support this wonderful cause. You'll be glad you did.

Guess I should've shopped around a little more first. The installers were great. And we set up a salt delivery schedule which was awesome. It's great to not have to deal with going out and getting salt and hauling it to that softener. However. We were living in a mobile home with the plans to build a new home on the same site. When construction started. We careful he disassembled the unit and stored it in a safe place. When it was time to have it re-connected. It was very expensive to have them hook it back up. And then to make matters worse the display was no longer functioning. Since the "manager" was out of town. We needed to wait until the following week to see how he was going to handle the warranty. When I got the call. It was from the person that answers the phone. Relaying the message that it would cost over $350 for the replacement part. There was no mention of labor cost. I thought that was ridiculous. She hesitated and then connected me with the manager. He said it could've been dropped therefore it wasn't a warranty issue. I personally handle the disassembly of the machine and was extremely careful being that we paid over $4000 for the system. It was never dropped. But nonetheless this is where it stands. I have a water softener that I cannot program because I cannot read the display. It recycles in the middle of the day which is exactly the wrong time of the day for work to recycle. And less I cough up more cash that's how it's going to be.

The guy cleaned the drain and then decided to open the T&P valve on our water heater. That unseated the valve, causing 9,000 gallons to drain out of the hot water heater before we finally identified and corrected it. Between the water bills, electricity to heat all the draining water, and leak detection agency we are out $1000+. What did regional manager David R have to say when asked to be reimbursed? It was MY fault that there was sediment in the tank. Hello, your guy SHOULDN'T have touched the valve.... asked 3 plumbers to confirm it. He even had the nerve to say his list showed our tank was in good condition. Why were they looking at it at all? They were supposed to be snaking the HVAC drain. Feels like they created a problem to drum up business for a new hot water heater installation. Are they reimbursing us for the costs incurred by their negligence? His words: take us to court. We've gone many times and have never lost. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company!!!
