I work for an apartment complex. We had one hot water heater that needed replacement, a leaky…read moretoilet, and wanted a few other hot water heaters to be looked at proactively. We called another local plumber who had great lip service but never followed through or came back to do the estimate. When we reached back out, we were given a time frame of a few days. We called Plumb Easy and they were here in seriously less than an hour. They were able to fix the leak within the day, the toilet the following, and made a game plan for the others that they actually followed up with. I'm writing this today because we had a hot water heater start leaking early this morning. We immediately called Plumb Easy based on our previous positive experience and again they were here within the hour. Each time, wonderful service, effective communication about what they were doing, options with quotes, etc. We will absolutely be using them for all future plumbing services. I recently hired Preferred Home Services when I had an issue with a digital thermostat. Their tech…read morewas extremely helpful and was able to replace the unit, but I was floored by the total cost of the visit. The service call was on a Sunday, so I certainly understand the premium charge. But I was essentially charged $500 for labor to unplug and plug in a new thermostat (a $200 part). No new wiring, just plug and play. The tech did check the furnace and air conditioner, but my total bill was $700. Again, I understand the Sunday premium charge, but a $500 labor charge is way too extreme. I'm rating them a 3, only because the tech was very helpful, but I would have rated them much lower because of an obvious price gouging practice that this company uses, which was extremely disappointing. I've learned a very hard lesson to never use them again..
