Summary: I've had multiple great experiences with Plumbing Doctor, specifically Jorge. Jorge's excellent work has really established my trust in him and Plumbing Doctor. Work Done: I have had Plumbing Doctor (Jorge) fix a leaking bath tub (which required extensive work and removal of old leaking pipes), replace aging valves under my sinks, and replace a water control valve. Quality of Work: It's been a year since the bathtub was repaired and I've had no issues. Previously, the tub had work done on it by another plumbing company and it continued to leak. Jorge identified the issue and laid out multiple avenues of how to solve the issue. The other repairs were done recently but I have not had any issues so far. Knowledge: Jorge has been extremely knowledgable when it comes to my questions. He is always able to provide clear explanations and multiple options as to how to address any potential repairs or replacements. Customer Service: One thing I really appreciate is that Jorge and his colleagues from Plumbing Doctor treat your house with respect. My realtor hired this company for an inspection prior to my purchase of the home. David came out and did the alleged inspection. Within one week of moving into my new home, I had major issues with my main sewer line backing up. I had to get the line snaked every other day because of some sort of blockage. I had two other plumbers come out and camera my main line. It turns out that the main line is filled with debris such as stucco and paint that is stuck to the main line. Despite the debris being stuck to the main line, it was magically not noted in the inspection report. This problem is costing me thousands of dollars to fix. I contacted the company to tell them their inspection was botched and that they had messed up. Their employee, John, insisted on coming out to my house and reinspecting the line. Sure enough, John found all the stuck debris there that is causing my main line to back up. He doubled down and told me "you never really know the issues until you live in the house." That is nonsensical. Many people do inspections to understand plumbing issues before they purchase a home. If you did not know the problems until you live in the house, why even do the inspection then? It seemed like the company was doubling down on the botched inspection, just making excuse after excuse. It remains unclear to me how debris that is STUCK to my main line (and cannot be removed with a hydrojetter) was completely missed. I requested a refund of the inspection amount (few hundred dollars) to at least help me put that money toward repairs, given I am now on the hook financially for the equivalent of a small car. I never heard back from John or anyone else at the company. The Plumbing Doctor's botched inspection cost me thousands of dollars in repairs that I was not aware of were needed. I highly suggest that you please take your hard earned money elsewhere when choosing to inspect a home or get any plumbing work done. I am now faced with a huge bill as I attempt to get the main line problem in my home fixed- a problem I should have known about. I really hope that my review helps anyone out there choose a trustworthy and competent plumber. read more

I have used Plumbing Doctor on three occasions: to diagnose and change a kitchen faucet (and letting me know that Moen would replace my faucet for free), install the faucet, fix water pressure issues, install new showerhead and valve, and install a RO filtration system. They have been responsive, reliable and knowledgeable and they do not try to upsell you. Their estimate for my shower valve etc in 2022 was over $800 less than another plumbing company in Vacaville. And after I paid for the work their office manager called me to tell me I was getting a partial refund because they didn't need to use a part that had been on the original estimate. I would never recommed this company or use them again under any circumstances.' I am an elderly woman and I saw it firsthand. Vulgar, cruel bullying. Yesterday, at approximately 1:19p.m. while everyone in our household was working, we had a knock on the door, plumbers saying they needed to remove our backyard fence and get to a sewer access. I spoke to them through our door camera and said, 'I'm working now. Can you please wait.'. Less than 3 minutes later, I opened my front door. No one there. I went through my kitchen to the backyard, thinking I'd tell them to give me 20 minutes to secure items in our backyard. They were already taking my 6 foot fence down with power tools!!! I ran back to the fence trying to tell them to stop and wait and one guy SCREAMED at me, saying the land is an easement, it is a city sewer access and I have NO RIGHT to tell him he cannot get into my yard! He said they can do whatever they need to do whenever they want. They, a group of 4-6 men, proceeded to mimic my words and voice, laughing and mocking me. All of them joined in, laughing, parroting what I'd said in exaggerated high voices. Two hours later, I heard one call me a (feminine expletive). Thrice. He, standing, facing me, can clearly see me in my backyard. I don't know if the repetition of that insult was for added effect or to be CERTAIN I heard. The other near him replied in agreement. I contacted the City of Davis Public Works and Engineering departments who told me that the easement is city property and the plumbers are supposed to arrange access with the homeowner before they need to gain access. From the City of Davis email on this matter: " The contractor should make contact with the property owner to gain entry and describe the nature of the work being performed, restoring property to it's original condition, and any work performed on the connection to the sewer main would require the contractor to obtain permits." Not only did no one contact me, but 'restoring the property to its original condition'? There is now a GIANT hole in the back corner of this lot, with an ugly orange post and they've wedged a plywood board tightly under the fence to cover the hole. The owner of the apartments behind my house who hired these plumbers has my email and phone number. No one contacted me to inform or advise us. I have friendly acquaintance with several of our neighbors who live in that apartment building. I cannot imagine why anyone would choose profane, crass bullies when there are other, civil and courteous plumbers in Davis. read more

I called Plumbing Dr when I was desperately looking for a plumber to detect a worrisome water lead. Plumbing Dr like many plumbing companies have their technicians. And there are bad technicians and good technicians. I dealt with Rosendo. He was awful. He misled me by wrong info only because he didn't know how, or was afraid to use a leak detector in an open area (more noise). That cost me $300 additional cost for his absolutely unnecessary detective repair and one day of my work/vacation time by digging/tracking my main waterline. He charged me about $650 to replace two stupid water valves that nominally cost between $300-$400. Call them only if you need to know the high rates for your project. They are overpriced. However, you can use them to know you can find a contractor who would do the job for at least 20% less. read more
