Just in case you are interested, Cornerstone is owned by Bancorp a bank holding company, all this propaganda about this being such a friendly community bank is purely hype. Cornerstone is traded on the stock market; they are first and foremost a for profit bank, and they do not differ in any way from any other for profit bank. So if you like all the warm fuizzies in their well decorated offices, be my guest, but I personally do not believe they have the quality and expertise I would look for in a bank. They have proven to be inept on several occasions and today I received an email from Cornerstone because the email said I am a valued customer, but as of a week ago I closed my remaining account with Cornerstone, so the email was an error.

You boarded up the ATM because of fear of protests? Without notice! I needed cash when I needed cash. I joined because I thought we, our community, was in charge of our credit union. This move was worse than inconvenient, and it suggests a lack of political alignment, similar values, and the spirit of a credit union. (Aren't lives more important than finances?) I'm adding a star, and I've learned I've been a bit harsh. Casey and everyone I've interacted with at Members 1st have always been nice and helpful. Casey is ESPECIALLY professional, efficient, and informative. Sorry for my criticism, though I'm still not pleased with the boarding up of the branch. I am on social media to a great extent and saw no notice. The note on the ATM only directed me to alternative ATMs, without any explanation as to why the branch was boarded up, or without stating that the others were free. Security cameras and police officers' check-ins should've been sufficient. In the end, the protest was less violent than any single episode of Dance Moms. (Of course, though, hindsight is 20/20.) I'm keeping part of my finances at Members 1st, at least for now. Thank you.

Today was the last straw. We walked in on a Tuesday morning, it's empty, two workers available, one teller and one at a desk. we asked to open an account and explained we can't make an apt because our schedules are too unpredictable. she just shrugged and said they are too understaffed to do that...while two employees were doing nothing with no customers in sight. we took our business to an entirely different bank and will be switching my existing account to the new bank too. The scammers took us through a long process during which time they copied my laptop bank information making it appear they deposited money into my account. Husband and I went into the bank and were immediately helped by Javier. He did a fantastic job of explaining to us how close we came to being scam victims and how to identify and not fall for such hoaxes. Javier saved the day for us and educated us on what to look for in the future should something like this occur again.

I have no way of knowing if it was purposeful or accidental, but I do know that it's upsetting that my bank can't get something right that should be elemental. She counted the money in front of me using a counting machine with a digital display. She ran it through twice, saying: "The machine may make a mistake once, but it'll never make the mistake twice!" If only. The digital display showed the right amount, both times, and she sealed the money in two envelopes. When I got home, I counted it. I counted it again. And again. I got two other people to count it, too. Each time the same result: I was short $300. I've never had anything like this happen. The shadiness, or, at best, incompetence, is extraordinary. And costly. To me. I filed a complaint with the main WF customer service team and if it's not rectified this bank is going to lose yet another customer.
