I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and today I finally got the chance. I came with my mom and little brother. Parking was tight and filled. They have a very little parking lot that's shared with other establishments and gets packed quickly. We went inside and there were a lot of people at the tables chit chatting. We made our way through the crowd and were greeted by the employee at the counter. Eddie was very friendly and helpful in deciding our drinks. I had a-bajillion questions and he answered them all with a smile and patience. We ended up getting a green tea blend, a strawberry banana smoothie, and a hibiscus mint with strawberry flavoring GREEN TEA BLEND They use matcha green tea and I love that it's not too sweet. I was really surprised because my mom really liked it too and she's super picky! You really taste the green tea flavoring and it's really smooth. STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE Eddie told us the smoothies were really sweet (thank you for the honesty) and it was. My brother wanted this and even though it was sweet, it wasn't too bad. I could taste more bananas than strawberries though. HIBISCUS MINT WITH FLAVORED STRAWBERRY The hibiscus mint is non-sweet and I wanted to add some flavoring. I didn't know which one to choose; so Eddie recommended strawberry. I went with it and it turned out really good. It was a very refreshing drink. It wasn't overly sweet, which is what I love. My overall experience was great! I give 4.5 stars. I want to give 5 stars, but they close so early (around 7pm) and I wish I could study here or hangout late with some friends, but that's unfortunate and their parking lot is so aggravating.. other than that.. their service is phenomenal!! I think this is my new spot for some drinks and some early studying. read more

Americano was one of the best I've had thus far in Houston. Legit GOOD coffee. Don't pass this place up!

I had a hour to waste, and I needed some good coffee, been in Texas for a week and haven't gotten any good coffee yet. I stumbled across this little gem hoping I would finally get some great coffee!! Cut a long story short this place is AMAZING!! I had ordered a caramel macchiato blended or knows as a frappe with a cinnamon raisin bagel bacon egg and cheese and my mom got a pineapple coconut smoothie with a raisin bagel and bacon and egg. The drinks were amazing I needed a great coffee for my week and my mom loved her smoothie I had to taste it, it was delicious!! The staff are awesome!!! The guy made a small mistake with my moms order and he was gladly to correct it and he even gave us a gift card and apologized!! I haven't seen that before at all!! Very pleasant people and I was so glad to eat there!! It's a great place to stop and enjoy some great sandwiches and cake pops!! especially there drinks those are a MUST!! read more

I've always wanted to go here as it opened up a while ago by my parents' place in Cypress. I finally had the chance this holiday and I find myself there almost everyday! They have the creamiest chai latte, even with almond milk! They are always really nice and it's a great place to relax, study, or read. I'll have to go back to my home in LA soon but I'll miss this place and will be dreaming of the turkey club while I'm gone.....Everything on the menu is great, I can't see you making a wrong choice. read more

Great coffee, food, and delicious desserts! I have had many meetings here as well as a quick drive through for all kinds of coffee with a variety of flavors. Locally run, family-owned and personal touch! read more

This place is awesome. The coffee is great, the prices are reasonable, and the baristas are knowledgeable. Don't underestimate the food, especially the tandoori chicken sandwich. For LSC-CyFair students, this is a great place to study (free wifi and they definitely don't care if you stay a long time). Great place! read more

Love this place; it's probably one of the best, if not my top pick for Cypress/NW Houston coffee shops. I'm all about supporting the local guy and the service and quality here is consistently tops. Not sure what beans they use but the coffee is always rich and flavorful. One of the high points here is the staff; they are friendly and willing to help accommodate drink orders for overly-picky people such as myself. They offer sugar free options, non-dairy milks and carry a wide assortment of flavor add-ins that make their flavored lattes so damn delicious. They also make a wicked London Fog--one of the best ones that I've ever had. I've gone out of my way several times to get a coffee here and it has never once disappointed me. Well worth the drive, and I highly recommend them if you're in the neighborhood or live in Cypress/NW Houston. read more

So I finally came back here on a whim to try their coffee since I had a sudden craving for a frappuccino and didn't feel like going to starbucks. It was empty, so I was tended to quickly. After looking over the menu for a few minutes I decided on a medium sized snickerdoodle frappe. Biggest mistake of my life. The snickerdoodle frappe tasted like they used crappy instant coffee. There was no richness or boldness in the coffee whatsoever. Not a coffee snob, but I definitely don't want my coffee to taste like watered down instant coffee. Terrible. There were tons of chunks of ice in the drink as well. I'm pretty sure your household blender could do a better job than whatever they're using to blend drinks. Severely disappointed and trashed my drink after a few sips. Definitely not worth the $5.00. read more

As a college student who jumps at the chance to feed my caffeine addiction, this place is still one of the best around. I come here and get my extremely caffeinated coffee and a panini and grab a table and study for as long as one person can handle. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. The staff is always nice and make sure you feel welcome. The only thing I don't like is how hot it gets in there. The windows don't have any blinds so at a certain time all the tables are in the suns way. No matter where you sit your doomed to be in the sun read more

I am absolutely without a doubt addicted to Plum Coffee. I will never ever look at Starbucks the same way again. Ask for a London Fog, if you are not a coffee drinker. I love sitting there on the weekend and either catching up with friends or taking a time out with my family. read more

Plum Coffee - This is the start of a good weekend. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cypress, Texas

Don't come here for the espresso, it's watery and flavorless. I ordered an Americano (the employee tried to steer me to get something more popular but I always get an Americano because I don't like sugary drinks) although I did add some caramel to it but the flavor tasted very artificial and almost like it was sugar free.. It had a gross after taste. The 3 stars is for the service because it wasn't exemplary but it wasn't bad so gotta give them credit for that, but if I was rating them by the taste and quality of their coffee I would give them a -1. Sorry don't mean to be harsh, it just wasn't good. I took two sips and threw it in the garbage at school. Might give them another try in the future. read more

I love coffee and going to Starbucks, but decided to try this local coffee house instead. And....I love it! Both my kids say they like it better than Starbucks and that must mean something because it is hard to impress those two. I normally get the soy white chocolate mocha at Starbucks, but got the soy white chocolate caramel expresso here and it was delish!!!!! This is definitely my new coffee spot hangout. read more

I reviewed this business before back in 2014. I admit to frequenting Starbucks because I get credit for frequent visits. They even have a nice app that keeps you from needing to yank out your credit card or cash every time. But... The atmosphere in Plum Coffee is just the way coffee shops used to be back in the 80's. The music is retro and mellow and it is quiet. Almost library level. The owner is pleasant to chat with and remembers your usual order. While Starbucks has its pluses, they are getting so noisy with clatter, chatter and loud music that it has driven me back to what I find at Plumb Coffee. Serene time for an excellent variation of Java and a place to reflect and study. Thank you Shawn for hanging in there and making your coffe shop a great place to be. read more

I love everything about the coffee shop! From the chocolate chip scones to the oatmeal with trail mix to the strawberry italian sodas to the candy bar mocha frap! Yum! The atmosphere is warm and friendly...a fabulous place for a book club, business meeting or just working on my laptop! Definitely a fav! read more

I can't believe that a cool hipster coffee joint like this exists outside of the loop. I mean, it's not that I am a Midtown Houston Hipster, I was just shocked that I don't need to meet people in Midtown for a unique latte, and the Peanut Butter Latte I had was out of this world. Seriously, I would go out of my way to visit Plum again. I really dig the cool 1950s furniture and wish they'd get even more. Maybe get some pop art on the walls, too. No matter, Plum has a great place with great coffee and warm and a upbeat staff. read more

Creative flavors and the prices are reasonable. They have never taken too long in my experience.

What a funky, retro space in a pretty 'standard' commercial strip! Found Plum Coffee after a quick Yelp! scan of the area; was hoping Plum was open on New Year's morning, as a tasty latte was definitely in the cards for me! Ordered a triple medium latte, along with an everything bagel (with egg, bacon, cheese...oh my!)...both hit the spot more than I had expected. Attentive, quick service. Of note, the shop is decorated with many retro things - really enjoyed reminiscing about them as I'd seen them growing up! Go for yourself to check them out, especially the short-wave radio! Great place to hang, drink coffee and play some board games. So glad Yelp! came through for me, again! read more

Stopped in this new coffee shop next to Mega Cleaners. Ordered a caramel mocha - the flavor was spot on. Great coffee. The shop was decorated retro style - pretty cool. The owner was running the front counter and she was very friendly. I will definitely stop by again with my wife. read more

Stopped in cause I didn't want Starbucks while out of town this place seemed promising, place was dead on a Monday afternoon around 11am or so. Shots were burnt and that's about all you need to know. Seemed promising but we are back to the search for whenever coming to this area of cypress to find a good espresso place. THE SEARCH CONTINUES!!! read more

By far my favorite coffee place! I came in here around lunchtime for Bible study and I enjoyed it! The guys at the counter were very polite and accommodating! Asked for a Flat White and it was excellent! The ambience is great for a quiet study session and the music is soothing and not so loud that it is distracting. If you are tired of Starbucks, definitely try this place! If you're consistent, they might even greet you and ask if you want the usual, now that's customer service! read more

Good coffee and snacks. Try the cold brew. Drive-thru is handy. Easy in and out on Barker Cypress.

Support this local, Cypress, small business when you tire of the corporate coffee giant in our area. They make mean specialty drinks and the owner is also really nice. My wife and daughter always order the London Fog and it's nice that they have a drive through to order drinks. Makes it easy picking up treats before entering our subdivision. read more

I have been going here years, it's a family owned business. I love the coffee here! Really good place to catch up on school work, and get some work done. The teas are also my favorites! Especially the iced green tea with peppermint syrup. read more

Such a great little establishment tucked away in Cypress! If I could rate this place on service alone, i'd give them 5+ stars. The baristas are genuinely kind and go above and beyond to ensure your drink is well worth it. They even offered the WiFi password without me asking. The specialty (read: sweet) drinks are more pricey than their pure coffee counterparts, but I had to keep myself from trying everything on their menu: try the white mocha with whole milk and no whip. Will definitely come back! read more

This place has a great ambiance when you walk in, but a coffee shop should have a smell of coffee and this did not. It had more of an old stale smell. The staff seemed bored and not super friendly. The tea and coffee were okay, but we have had much better for even less money. The desserts did not look appealing or fresh but something more I could get from a store bakery. read more

Great little shop with really good food and coffee. Be sure to treat your self to dessert. Feels great supporting a great local business.

Love this place! It's my go to study and chai tea spot after school from lonestar to study. It is a bit pricey but worth it! The sweets and snacks choices are amazing as well. The atmosphere in this place is my favorite part of coming here, the oldies music and the vintage furnishing gives it an amazing atmosphere and a great place for maybe a first date, a study session, or a relaxing evening coffee or tea! read more

I have tried this coffee shop twice and it's not bad. That being said, it's not great either. I had a soy latte and a blueberry scone. The coffee was ok. The scone was very dry and stale. I requested a fresher pastry and the staff were very friendly and apologetic. My daughters had a cake pop and a wild berry smoothie, both of which they liked. The atmosphere is interesting and kind of quirky. Again. I like it but don't love it. read more

Love the new owners. Love getting to also buy some of their yummy cake items as well there. I was told about their new homemade peanut butter. So I tried their peanut butter mocha Frappuccino and I'm totally addicted! I always question homemade flavors so to speak and peanut butter being one. I'll never question their suggestions again! Love the dirty chai latte!!! This coffee shop has a great atmosphere, great coffee and food too!

I was really excited to come here bc they have bagels. I order a black and white with coconut milk and an everything bagel. It was extremely average but I'd rather pay my money to Starbucks where they actually clean. The only thing that would keep me from coming back would be how extremely disgusting it was inside. They probably haven't swept or mopped in MONTHS. The restroom has trash over flowing and on the floor. Not my kinda place. read more

A favorite place that is always reliable!! The best customer service ever. The best coffee ever!

When there isn't a quiet place in the neighborhood to study, Plum Coffee comes in clutch. It's hardly busy and when it is, it's not as chaotic as Starbucks. There's enough tables and chairs to hang out so anyone could play some card games or board games, sip on a drink, bury themselves in a book, or get some studying done. If you're in a hurry or don't want to get out of your car, they have a drive-thru area on the side. Customer service is consistently exceptional. I don't feel rushed when trying to decide what to order. One of the suggestions from the cashier was the freshly brewed iced coffee. Since trying it for the first time there, I kept coming back for more. I eventually asked if they sold the iced coffee in bulk, but they do not. It's okay, though. Plum Coffee still gets five stars in my book. read more
