They had to completely redo the tilework in both bathrooms because of discrepancies and shoddy workmanship. We are moving again and during the inspection they found that the main shower has been leaking the entire time. The raised step into the shower was not built/sealed right. It leaks into our crawl space as well as through the step and into the bathroom. Throughout every mistake Stuart would emphasize his veteran status (we're military) and that everything would be fixed and we'd be taken care of. Our current contractor has said they cut corners, used cheap materials, and a rubber tray/ membrane that isn't even supposed to used in Virginia. If you value your money go elsewhere. "We do not cut any corners in our construction process." Except when your tile guys put the wrong grout color in. Then removed it and replaced with the correct color, meanwhile cracking many of the other tiles and then trying to cover it up with caulking.

Whitney Construction completed a full renovation of our two-story home, and we couldn't be happier…read more Communication, knowledge, and budget were the main reasons we chose Rich, and he truly delivered in every area. From day one, Rich was upfront about timing and costs. We lived in the home during the renovation, and I always knew who would be there and when. The worksite was cleaned daily, which made a huge difference and showed real care and respect for our space. He also provided a clear list of decisions we needed to make to keep everything on track and on budget. Rich was always honest about costs and timelines when we discussed ideas, and I really appreciated his transparency. The quality of work was outstanding--everyone who came through our door was clearly top-notch, and Rich was always happy to answer my many questions. This was a major project, including removing load-bearing walls and installing steel beams, but Rich runs a tight ship and kept steady progress throughout. The project finished on time, and we're beyond happy with the results. We loved working with him so much that we decided to continue on to the upstairs instead of taking a break. I'm writing this today from our beautiful new home and would highly recommend Whitney Construction.
