walked into the store on january 24, 2025 the cashier with red hair lina was bothered because i asked for singles. she also made a comment about wasting her time under her breath so i asked for her name. then i can hear her getting mad at another customer because he wanted to use moneygram instead of ria management please make sure your cashiers have good customer service because for paying costumers whether we have an account with you guys or not, we deserve to have the best customer service! read more

The lines are always this long, it would be nice if they hired more people in order for the lines to move faster. I waited in line for 1 hour in the freezing cold ac and service like that really sucks for everyone. I hope next time I do come there will be more staff to attend the long line outside the door. They only had 3 employees and 1 girl went to lunch while the line was outside the door leaving only 2 employees to help. Please update the management for they will ruin your business. Thank you loyal costumer Mon 7/20/20 @8pm left at 920pm. read more

PLS Check Cashers - 3 employees to help aid this line on a Monday. - Check Cashing/Pay-day Loans Near Me - Los Angeles, California

They have big lines all the time, they have 10 windows but always only open 1 or 2 it sucks

We were in a tight situation where we needed to cash a check and no other place was willing to help us with our unique situation. An employee named Christopher, did literally everything he could. Going above and beyond his power, he made sure we were able to leave with the check cashed. We are so thankful for all his help and couldn't let his actions go unnoticed! Thank you again Christopher ! - Almighty transit read more

Love coming here ! Some helpful , Claudia always makes my visit quick and easy , always has a positive attitude .

My experience at PLS has been a positive one in the past. I've cashed at Van Nuys and Lynwood locations with ease for years. I only come to PLS in emergency situations because they are reliably 24 hrs. I tried cashing today from the same company I cashed from last year but they didnt accept it. Even though I dont like it, I could understand that. But when I tried asking them what else I could do they kept cutting me off and i felt that the staff was being sarcastic. There was no else in line. A little customer service goes a long way, Im in a really tough spot now but I'll figure it out without PLS check cashers. This location also referred me to another location on Cesar Chavez. The same attitude was provided there. read more

Citlali in the olas in Whittier and Atlantic is always so helpful she so awesome never gives me anything to worry about such a big help.

I would rate this place 0 stars! They steal peoples checks. Supervisor Andrew will state that a check didn't clear and keep your check the next time you go so that the PLS gets paid double. Horrible service! But what can you expect when these people get paid shit and think they are the shit. Workers are rude! read more

My experience was very pleasant they had patients with me and very helpful I gave it a five star they did a good job

Today, I had a great employee help me over the phone with a question I had in regards foreign exchange. This employee was a female and although I did not get her name, the way she helped me made me really appreciate workers like her. She went out of her way to call other stores to try and help me out, when she could have told me to do it myself. With such said, I have been to about 3 PLS check cashiers and this one and the one on Soto has been extremely helpful. Keep doing what you are doing PLS, the East LA community appreciates your attention. read more

Hi I went to PLS to pay my bills and there's this Joseph very nice help me very kind considerate very polite it's a lot better than the one at Cesar Chavez on Gage I went there and I had a bad experience at night to pick up my disability check the two women that were there at night stole $100 fromMe I called your corporate office I don't know if they did anything but I don't like going there no more so I'll be seeing you more at Whittier Boulevard PLS thank you I gave it a five star read more

After cashing hundreds of checks from the same employer without a single check ever having an issue and PLS making money off me and every one, I get an employee want to start questioning me about what the checks were for, why was I cashing it, etc. Like she was a detective and me a thief. If she looked at the check and all the previously cleared ones, she'd know it was my paycheck. Just rude, questionable behavior, not inquisitive relevant customer service. I'll never go to PLS again. Companies get too big and their employees think they can act anyway they chose. Like a person needs the company more than the company needs it's customers. I guess they don't realize no customers = no job. read more

Horrible service, after wasting my 20-30 mins to say oh sorry we can't verify your information for a stupid prepaid card!!! You're better off going to the bank don't give them your service. Shitty management. Completely useless read more

Jonathen is a idiot. Takes all your information and then let's you know there is something wrong with your check and you can't cash it. Wasted my time. And has me worried about my information. Managers need to do a better job at hiring and training people who can do the job correctly read more

I had a terrible experience with the supervisor GABRIEL. I was trying to cash my checks, and he made it very hard for me. I went to another check cashiers in town and they helped me with no issue! Gabriel needs retaining since he doesn't know his store policies. read more

This is one of their locations I typically go to. I'm a regular. Today at this location 05/24/2018 I experienced the worst customer service ever! Two girls in one computer, I believe one being trained. Never going back! Best believe! read more

Excellent service!! They were able to help me with a very difficult situation. Very friendly and very helpful.!!

Terrible fucken service! Andrew the supervisor had the nerve to tell me "you wouldn't like anyone who to do your job" after I offered to bring my other check stubs! I lost it! & after I corrected him he said "no I don't mean it that, I'm just saying he's (cashier) taking his time to verify" well then say that! Don't come at me like that period! Then he has the nerve to say "if this check comes back you will be completely responsible for it" wtfffffff why would it come back didn't you just take all your cautious time and procedures? IDIOT! Andrew you are not fit for customer service roll yet alone a management roll. I advise anyone that would like to cash there check just wait and save your self the stupidity of staff running this location. read more

Be prepared to send 40 minutes to cash a check. I went in and stood in line for 41 minutes. The two cashiers were really slow, they were going back and forth switching computers. When I asked for my checks back, they said they can't give them back because they signed the two checks. Completely waste of time, rather open a regular bank account and be over it read more

I went in on 8/09/17 around 6ish. Completely poor customer service skills as well as the female cashier seemed to be gossiping under her breath with another female cashier about me. Judging by the eye rolling lack of hospitality and gratitude towards customers I feel it's completely unacceptable. I most definitely will not be coming here as well as I will tell my fellow employees not to do business there either. Ps. If I can give it no stars I would read more

This location always long and slow. I'm standing in line right now and I see only 3 workers at the window. This location needs to hire more people so this business can flow smoothly and influential. read more

Every time I've come in here it's been a pleasure. I love the awesome service and smile I get from the staff. They are always helpful and courteous. I love that they are open 24 hours and that I can get a variety of my needs met here, such as buying stamps, cashing my payroll checks, buying a TAP card for public transportation. I'm especially thankful to Ariana for always providing customer service that goes above and beyond each and every time I come in. Thanks read more

I went into the location @2324 Whittier Blvd and they have the worst customer service ever. I have a pre-paid card with them and long story short, a month ago I tried to use my card and it declined. (I know I had funds on it) Calling the number on back of the card, they advised me my card was suspended because there was errors on my name and my social (inputted by their representatives) and I would have to wait a month for funds to mailed mailed to me from Banccorp! PLS never notified me by phone or by mail that this was going to happen. A month, half later; I have yet to receive my funds that I had on that card and they can careless! They should hire people who speak English and who are l less inclined to make errors while inputting information. Especially one worker named Sonia, she is so rude and if she doesn't like working w/the public; perhaps this job isn't for her... read more
