The lines are always this long, it would be nice if they hired more people in order for the lines to move faster. I waited in line for 1 hour in the freezing cold ac and service like that really sucks for everyone. I hope next time I do come there will be more staff to attend the long line outside the door. My experience at PLS has been a positive one in the past. I've cashed at Van Nuys and Lynwood locations with ease for years. I only come to PLS in emergency situations because they are reliably 24 hrs. I tried cashing today from the same company I cashed from last year but they didnt accept it. Even though I dont like it, I could understand that. But when I tried asking them what else I could do they kept cutting me off and i felt that the staff was being sarcastic. There was no else in line. A little customer service goes a long way, Im in a really tough spot now but I'll figure it out without PLS check cashers. This location also referred me to another location on Cesar Chavez. The same attitude was provided there. read more

Today, I had a great employee help me over the phone with a question I had in regards foreign exchange. This employee was a female and although I did not get her name, the way she helped me made me really appreciate workers like her. She went out of her way to call other stores to try and help me out, when she could have told me to do it myself. With such said, I have been to about 3 PLS check cashiers and this one and the one on Soto has been extremely helpful. After cashing hundreds of checks from the same employer without a single check ever having an issue and PLS making money off me and every one, I get an employee want to start questioning me about what the checks were for, why was I cashing it, etc. Like she was a detective and me a thief. If she looked at the check and all the previously cleared ones, she'd know it was my paycheck. Just rude, questionable behavior, not inquisitive relevant customer service. I'll never go to PLS again. Companies get too big and their employees think they can act anyway they chose. Like a person needs the company more than the company needs it's customers. Be prepared to send 40 minutes to cash a check. I went in and stood in line for 41 minutes. The two cashiers were really slow, they were going back and forth switching computers. When I asked for my checks back, they said they can't give them back because they signed the two checks. Completely waste of time, rather open a regular bank account and be over it read more

I went in on 8/09/17 around 6ish. Completely poor customer service skills as well as the female cashier seemed to be gossiping under her breath with another female cashier about me. I went into the location @2324 Whittier Blvd and they have the worst customer service ever. I have a pre-paid card with them and long story short, a month ago I tried to use my card and it declined. (I know I had funds on it) Calling the number on back of the card, they advised me my card was suspended because there was errors on my name and my social (inputted by their representatives) and I would have to wait a month for funds to mailed mailed to me from Banccorp! PLS never notified me by phone or by mail that this was going to happen. A month, half later; I have yet to receive my funds that I had on that card and they can careless! They should hire people who speak English and who are l less inclined to make errors while inputting information.
