Don't ask questions, there were 5 cashiers and only 2 windows open, doesn't make sense, also if people are on the phone and walking away from the window they should help the next customer. When I sold my vehicle I went down the street to a regular 3rd Part MVD store, and got a duplicate title because I had lost mine years back. Had it notarized, and gave it to the new owner of the vehicle. Like I do several times per year. The owner then tried to register the vehicle at this weird P.L.S. Check Cashing place, and they refused to do it, claiming that the title that I just had received from another 3rd party store, was the "wrong one" . So I had to then take 2 hours out of my day to come down to PLS, to straiten it out. They told me I needed to purchase a duplicate title and for them to notarize it or they wouldn't do it. How greedy can you really be, because I didn't purchase the title from them, they wouldn't take it? So I asked them, to add the new owner to the registration, no title is needed for that. Then another transaction to remove me from the registration, once again no title required. They refused. This is perfectly legal I have done it many times, and they said they could not. I had to purchase a new title. Then when I said fine, I'll pay it, but this is a scam. Then some weird teenage boy comes up and tells me if I'm going to be accusing this place of a scam I need to step out side, and I let him know, I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, I was informing them that I was aware that I was scammed. Be aware, rude, unprofessional, ignorant, thieves. Will keep business away from you guys for the rest of my life. You can count on that. read more

Went in there yesterday to get a bus pass for my kid, Lizette (CSR) agent asked me for my ID even though I was using my debit card, annoyed because of the wait time, I told my son to wait at her window while I go get my wallet. Not even a minute, I come back and Lizette took another customer! At this rate, I'm already upset. When the previous customer walked away, I threw my ID & my card in the little slot of her window. She then responded, "If you're going to continue to be rude, I will MAKE you wait at the end of the line" First off, do not tell me you will make me wait at the end of the line when my son was already at your window! So after my transaction, I said "That's what I thought B*tch".. Lizette, the Customer Service Rep threw up a "W" gang sign & started flipping me off. We exchanged words, while her Manager Devin pulled Lizette back towards him and told her to go to the back. Now, being that I'm the customer & this is their place of business, you would think Lizette would be sent home. I called their District Manager Joel Alvarez who was very nice & apologized for Lizette's actions. I returned to PLS to file a formal complaint. To my surprise, Lizette was back at the same window working! Really? After the incident that just happened, her Manager Devin allowed her to stay at work. After I filed my complaint & handed it over to Devin, I walked by Lizette's window and I told her I was returning the next day to see her District Manager. I walked out the store & Lizette was eyeing me from the window. I flipped her off & she (from the inside of her work space) flipped me off. I returned inside of the store with my husband & we exchanged words with all the employees inside the PLS. I'm not a happy customer due to the fact that their Employee Lizette threw up gang signs, flipped me off & was using profanity. I'm a paying customer. Despite what happens between customers & employees, Lizette should have remained Professional. I will be up at that PLS today & any other days in the future until Lizette is Terminated. I will go as far up as I can to Corporate until Lizette is fired. No Professional working for a Business should ever be throwing up gang signs, flipping customer off or using profanity. I'm highly upset & an apology will not suffice. **UPDATE 3/8 4:21pm** After speaking with the District Manager Joel Alvarez, I am confident that he has taken care of the issue I had at this location. Gives me hope that all Businesses should take Customers concerns very seriously especially when dealing with a problem with their Employees. Joel did apologize to me not only over the phone, but also in person as well as to my son, even after he had assured me he will handle the situation. This is a prime example of great Leadership from Management that have the skills needed to fulfill their jobs. I'm going to remain a customer at this PLS & encourage all that have similar experiences to take it up with Management. They do listen & they do handle business. read more

I have cashed many paychecks here but never again after what happened today. Funds were available and verified with the bank that the check was drawn on. But because they couldn't talk to a manager where I work at on the phone, they wouldn't cash the check! Ruined my whole weekend again--so never will I even try to cash ANY check there again. read more
