Absolutely loved the decor, the ambiance was great, the service was nice & the food was delicious. Everything we tried was good. Nice size portions. Great value. Attentive service. We will definitely return on a Sunday to taste their Sunday Roast. And the Lattes were DELICIOUS!!!

They said they would check and someone would be with us, and after a few more awkward moments waiting we were escorted to a back corner booth. The person took our drink order and departed, arriving back a few moments later with our drinks. Unfortunately, this was the high point of service. We seemingly were forgotten about for 20 minutes or so until someone stopped by to get our food order. We ordered a duck bao bun appetizer with the sea bass and crab linguine, and thai chicken and vegetable curry for mains. Another age went by before our buns were dropped by. They weren't terrible, but had so much hoisin sauce that the duck wasn't detectable. When our mains arrived, the dissapointment continued. The sea bass wasn't bad, but the crab linguine was a poor pairing, basically two independent dishes lumped together. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't well thought out. The curry was just bland and soupy. It tasted more like a broth with undercooked noodles soaked with vegetables and some diced chili peppers. The curry was almost indecipherable. It really felt like watered down leftovers. I've had better £5 chicken curry than this £18 dish. Unfortunately I don't see us coming back to or recommending the Glynne Arms.

The choices are exciting (see photos) and although the quality of the food varied greatly they get a massive thumbs up for taking such an open-minded approach to their food. I had the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings as a starter which were lovely. Sticky but slightly crunchy on the outside and very tasty inside. I would definitely have them again. Hugely encouraged, we were all excited for the main courses which were the Moving Mountains B12 Burger. Sadly all three of our burgers were so over cooked that in places they just tasted of charcoal! We would've raised this with the waiting staff but (a) it was a Saturday and they were so busy I couldn't catch the attention of anyone; and (b) when they finally came to clear our table much later they did so really quickly and without asking whether we'd enjoyed our food. A real shame that the burger was burned as the BBQ Jackfruit topping and the spicy dairy-free coleslaw that accompanied it were lovely. Dessert was better. The Chocolate and Cherry Cheesecake (yep, 100% Vegan) was lovely, although it was more like a frozen tort than a cheesecake. Unfortunately the Raspberry Jam Doughnut Pudding - which sounds like a dream come true - was, again, overcooked and very dry and claggy. As a result a large portion of it was left uneaten. The ambience was exactly what you would expect from a pub chain at 6pm on a Saturday. Screaming kids, loud music and harassed staff! Overall though the food wasn't bad and I would definitely give the place another go so that I could try some of the other exciting dishes on the menu. Soulless and generic it may still be but at least the food's no longer pants!

When the waitress came to clear, she could clearly see we hadn't eaten it, asked us how it was, so I told her.
