The cutest little bookstore with a vast used book section! Also many good places to dine within walking distance and free parking.

Most magical coffee/bookshop in all of Appalachia. (Ive been to a LOT of them) The antique district…read moreis a thrifter's paradise and this place is the cherry on top! Great coffee and vibes! Could totally see them filming a hallmark movie here for the ambiance. Lots of local artists work for sale, too.

Great little coffee place for those looking to do a bit of work or just hang out for a while. A…read morefriend and I came here with the intent to check out the fall festivities, though the rain had put a stop to them sadly. Still, this place made the trip worthwhile and I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate (and complimentary Halloween-themed shortbread cookie!). The barista was pleasant and answered our questions about the environs. We only checked out the bookstore section briefly though it did have an excellent selection, and even had a typewriter set up for aspiring typists to play around with. As a typewriter owner, it's always cool to see opportunities for the next generation to get a chance to work with these machines (if only so they can appreciate how much easier word processors are when it comes to editing!) I would gladly come back here again, and hopefully take more time to check out the books as well. Overall: 4.5/5 stars ---- Pros: - Great drinks. - Pleasant staff. - Quiet place to do work or look for a new book to dive into. - Easy street parking nearby. Cons: - Most tables are two tops, so if your group is three or more, you may have to improvise your seating arrangement.

It's a cute little used book store in a small strip mall off Blizzard Dr. There are three rooms to…read morethe store, with genre fiction in the first room, children & YA in the next room, and non-fiction/literature in the last. The general fiction leans heavily towards the Christian fiction and related genres, but there was some contemporary fiction like Saramago and DFW (I almost bought a copy of "Infinite Jest," but really, when am I going to have time to reread that?). Their sci-fi and fantasy collection wasn't too bad either. Prices were pretty good (the aforementioned DFW was listed at $7, and sci-fi paperbacks between $2-4). The proprietor let us know that everything is catalogued, so you could inquire about a particular title if you were looking for something specific. It looks like they also buy used books, which is good to know. They do play religious music in the store, but they also have Bible verses posted in the window, so I suppose that's fair warning.

The customer service is great in that customers are greeted and help is always offered. When they opened the new location they also added board games. Oh did they add board games. It is now *the* place in the area to go for gaming. They have a killer board game library that can be rented to play in story or even rented for overnight. Their selection is bar none and the owner knows his stuff when it comes to gaming. If one is into role playing games they have that covered as well. They have a good selection of role playing game books that are outside of the basic D&D. This business is one of the major go-to places when one visits this area.
