I will most definitely return and purchase from him, as he was the epitome of what customer service means. It was clear that he loved his job, was super knowledgeable about tons of Sephoras product lines and eager to help. I even emailed sephora corporate after my visit to pass on the compliment. Many times I'm sure, stores get complaints more so than compliments (squeaky wheel gets the grease, right?!) so I really wanted them to know what a positive impact that short interaction had on me. Great job Sephora Charleston. Keep it up!

I was very happy and impressed that I found my cousin's new book, "You'll Love it Here" by Natalie Sue, that just came out. Of course I had to buy it. In fact, South Charleston itself is a delight with all sorts of quirky little businesses and historical sights. The service by real book enthusiasts is endlessly gracious, and the various discounts (particularly for the overnight guests who have a full run of the place from 6 PM til 10 AM) are of real value. Just across the street is a reasonably breakfast and lunch place where EVERYTHING is homemade and run to support a local charity.

Cheryl is the nicest lady in the comic book business! She has a large selection of back issues. I…read morehave had a pull (reserve) list with her for over 10 years and she is always 100% accurate. One of the highlights of the store is the "deadbeat box." Customers who do not pick up their pull list within 28 days (almost always longer because Cheryl is so nice) are banned from having a pull list in the future. However, the comics that they neglected to pick up are placed in the deadbeat box. There are some real gems in there sometimes. Most customers who have a negative opinion of her store (Ryan M. perhaps?) were put in their place and ended up with their comics in the deadbeat box. Earlier reviews were inaccurate in reporting that Cheryl does not participate in Free Comic Book Day. The Free Comic Book Day program is not FREE for store owners. It's actually quite expensive. While she doesn't hang the banner outside her store she does purchase several of the free titles and hands them out for, well...free. This year she was sick on FCBD but still went to the store and left a box of free comics at the front door. The other shops in the are pale in comparison to Cheryl's. Cheryl always provides friendly service, accuracy on the pull list, and an interesting story or two. She's been in business for over 30 years for a reason. Her store is exceptional and she has created and maintained a loyal customer base.
