I decided to go out for diner with my 2, 3 year kids. As soon as we entered the resaurant my girls told me that they wanted to sit upstairs. We asked one of the waitresses if we could sit upstairs, she replied with " sure, but expect NO servcie upstairs, only if you sit at ground level" . Even though i found this odd, and me trying to be the best dad in the world, went up the iron, ( too dangerous for kids to walk alone) stairs to find seats near the window. After a couple of minutes me and me daughters decided to have a drink, but that meant that we had to go down the stairs again( only about 10 steps) to order our drinks.
As we where waiting in line, i asked the waitress once more that i found it strange there was no service upstairs, and asked if they could make an exception because i could not leave the girls upstairs to go downstairs to order drinks/food. Mind you, my kids are 3 years old, and would be running all over the place. Perhaps, near the dangerous stairs aswell. She then replied that perhaps she might be able to arrange something for us, but her searching for a possible solution was kicked to the ground by a female floor manager who abruptly jumped in that told us in a rather degrading manner that there was no service upstairs. The conversation with me and the floor manager was very uncomfortable as i was holding one of my girls in my arms and she began the clutch tighter to me, being scared of the tone that the floor manager gave us.
Me sensing this conversation would perhaps escalate into an argument i accepted the so called "policy" of no service upstairs, and continues to wait in line. People in line began to tell me that they agreed with me, and that the policy was ridiculous, especially with me being with 2 children who i could not leave alone if we wanted to order something.
We eventually order just 2 drinks and left with a bitter taste. Our experience in Plekk was pretty awe full, and i advice people with children to avoid this place as they seem to not care about that. Although there was one waitress that was very nice and helped us move our drinks from, one side to the other because it seemed we sat in a reserved place... read more
