One of my friends lives around the corner and mentioned this would be a good place to hit after leaving Oktoberfest. We walked in and it felt like everyone was welcoming us personally. We clearly had a few and they were patient when we ordered multiple rounds of shots, even crafting something special for us. The total bill with a generous tip was less than $50 The secret was to order food and beer as soon as you walk in. After ordering at the bar, the service was great - everything was brought right to our table including our NA beer. The food wasn't great, but there were plenty of options. Three of us got different snack type food - loaded potato skins, chicken strips and pretzel bites. Mark got a burger and thought it was pretty good. For a chili burger it was surprisingly easy to eat, i.e. not messy. It looks like there's a great outdoor space for when the weather's better, though I understand it's always open with heaters in the winter unless the ground is covered in snow. Arlin's was not my bar during my college days. We lived on the south side of the campus and Arlin's wasn't on our radar. Our bar of choice in the day is long gone, but Arlin's lives on. They are obviously doing something right.

( mind u we hadnt lit a cigarette or took a sip of our drink yet & had the whole patio lookn at us and everyone was in silence by now ) The rude man turns slings the door open muttering well if u do or dont ill be jus fine! Then someone said he was drunk, cant tend bar or handle ur poison dont drink! Then had a discussion about it inside the bar again for some reason but it back fired cause damn near the entire bar walked out and left due to the rudeness and unprofessional conduct presented by the bar tender!
