The day after my round when all the bites started to appear and itch I counted 53 bites and those were just on my legs. Overall it would be a good public track, but it is not priced well for what you actually get. I've read many other reviews that have stated this course would benefit significantly from new ownership and that is the best way to put it. Unfortunately you can't have a higher end public course if the owner isn't will to open his wallet. 5 major takeaways: 1. Overly buggy due to the lack of action by the owner. 2. Greens in good shape, but on the slower side. 3. Rough dried out fairways. 4. Over priced. 5. Fun layout to play.

They need some sound proofing/noice cancelling stuff as it is LOUD. While I love the fact they have live music a lot, it's just too loud when the band is inside. I have found that the new club 'pro' they hired last year is not really a very good host for the course. On Wednesday May 23, 2018 he proved that to our foursome. We were on the 16th hole, and four hours into our round that was delayed when we made the turn from 18 to the first hole. Manager had two groups on the first tee causing a 20 minute delay in continuing our round. What was most upsetting was this 'pro' driving out to tell two men in our group who are both in their late 60's that they must return the golf cart immediately. No lie folks, he wanted them to forfeit their last two holes and drive in. In my near fifty years of playing golf all around the states of Maine and New Hampshire, I have never had this type of encounter. Gorham Country Club is a nice course being poorly managed by this club pro, Matt. We will not return until we hear that the club is under new management. To ask the two gents with me to surrender cart was just a low class move. He must have had a hot date. The sun was still up when this all occurred.
