Great well kept disc golf course with good variation of shots. Low fee to play. Trash cans at every hole.

Family friendly fun, very cheap - $6 per person to play all day. Not an immensely challenging course, but good for beginners.

What a bizarre little golf course!! This place was probably amazing in the past, but time has not…read morebeen good to some of its amenities. You have to know that you're going to be roughing it a bit if you choose to play here, but I'm giving it 4 stars, so read on! We started by hitting some balls at the driving range, which was half boarded up with rusty lawnmowers everywhere and a decrepit abandoned snack bar abutting it that was about to fall down. We weren't even sure if we were allowed to be there when we rode up to it (but yes, this was it!). There were maybe 10 tees on the first level, only 2-3 of which were usable/accessible, but you know what, it worked for us! There is a little hotel and a bar near the course, but it wasn't operational when we were there. Either COVID or maybe since we went super late in the season (November). Bathrooms for the course were in the pool changing rooms and would you believe that there was no light in the bathroom stall? No, the bulb wasn't out, there was no fixture! The golf course itself was in good condition: grass properly mowed, putting greens without divots, clean... Not too difficult for a beginner like myself and not too easy for more experienced players. The only downside for us was the condition of the cart paths. Some selective repaving would go a long way! I honestly think their money-maker is the hotel/bar/pool/field games/kids events that they hold during the normal warmer season. This appears to be a family-run operation, and definitely a fun place to try out!

Bad experience overall!…read more I looked online for a tee time and it was wide open, so I figured I'd drive there hit a bucket and then play. I got there and they said they were booked for the next hour and a half, which is the opposite of what their booking system said. I decided to hit a bucket first so didn't mind waiting for a little while. I paid $10 for a tiny bucket of balls and half of them were chipped or cracked open. I then went to see how long the wait was and they said I could go out after the next twosome. I said let me think about it for a minute and I went and looked at the tee box to see how backed up it was. I decided what the heck I'll just play two balls and relax. So I went back in literally a minute later and they said I now have to wait for a foursome coming around for their second 9. I left immediately.

The Owl is the perfect warm-up course and a great option to get kids and new players engaged in the sport. The Hawk has a nice mix of woods and big, open fairways. The Falcon is my personal favorite. It's tight and technical and perfect for a quick, challenging game. The Eagle takes that to a whole other level with longer holes, bigger fairways, and a few open holes for big hyzers. The pro shop is fully stocked with most of the plastic you throw. They have a large selection of carts, bags, baskets, apparel, and a variety of gear you need to enjoy a day on the course. The greens fees are very reasonable. You get what you pay for and at Sabattus, you're definitely getting your money's worth. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, open, and welcoming. If you are new to the sport and want to give it a try, talk to them. They will help you out, make suggestions, and will start you off the right way with the right gear. Because the equipment is so inexpensive overall, and people often start with more disc than they can handle, it's common to buy discs you don't need and can't throw correctly when you start off. The crew here will help to prevent that. Based on my experience and the conversations I've witnessed, they will set you on the right path and give you an indicator on when to buy the next speed disc. Overall, this is one of my favorite courses. It's really one of the gems of the New England disc golf scene. If you're local, give it a try. If you're from out of state, make the trip.

Very clean and well maintained. This is not a beginner course but worked well for the novice I am. I would not recommend for young children as the terrain is rough with rocks and roots. Defiantly great workout, with holes that are uphill a down hills and around big angles. The course is well marked and easy to follow. There are lots of quirky add ons such as benches, a porch swing, stumps covered in drink caps, fire pit and fences made of long sticks. The scenery is as picturesque as the course. Definatly a fun course. Pay and play once or pay and play all day.

For a person newer to the game there are two primary throws a back hand and forehand (also called a flick). Basically this entails how the disc and your body are looking lined up looking at the pin. Devils grove is a forehand throwers dream . With many baskets and holes breaking to the right it would be wise to have that throw. Well labeled tee boxes and trash cans at every hole. Devils grove has a pro house with drinks and plenty of other disc to purchase there. The course is well maintained and you can tell the owner puts a lot of time and effort into it. There are some of very challenging holes but they also have a lot of holes that have Ace potential. Plenty of tournaments and a random doubles and bring your own partner doubled during the week. Highly recommend, get on out of the house and throw some plastic.
